I am writing about my experience with Kitchen and Bath Gallery in Fairmont. For anyone needing…read morekitchen or bath remodeling or repair I would avoid them at all cost. Kitchen & Bath Gallery is extremely unprofessional, vastly overcharge, do shoddy work and refuse to fix their many mistakes. This is the worst company that has ever done any work for me. First off , they charge $100 just to give an estimate. I have never had any other company do that and I have had several doing work on our house since we bought it. They all gave FREE estimates. My husband and I had them to install 2 new toilets, a bathroom sink faucet, ceramic tile flooring in a very tiny half bath, install a shower head( which looks horrible and is an eyesore because of the shotty job they did), remodel our basement shower with tile, install an outside faucet, replace our kitchen faucet, install a non vented range hood, and a garbage disposal. We ended up having them come back several times to fix the things they messed up. First the shower they tiled: the shower floor tiles started coming up the first time the shower was used. They tried to blame us for getting the wrong tile when they never told us what to get in the first place. After several times of them coming out and putting more glue and grout down only for them to keep coming loose they finally told us what tile to get and they came back out to install it. The tiny bathroom where they tiled the floor had grout that was cracking so I called them and they came out to fix it. Well now the grout lines look like crap because he used a different color grout the second time and there is still places where the grout is cracking and coming out. I also told him about the shower head that they installed that doesn't work right and looks terrible. He said he took a picture and would send it to his boss who would get a hold of me about what they could do about it. He never contacted me. To put the topping on the cake. I was using the kitchen faucet when the entire faucet came off the base of the sink. We tried to see if we could fix it only to find that a part that would screw it down is totally missing. I got my instruction manual out to be sure and the part they show is not there so I have no idea how he rigged it on there but it is now off. I called them up hoping they could tell me what happened or come out to fix it since the piece that is supposed to be there is not there and he tells me that I will be charged for a service call. We decided if we were going to have to pay to have it fixed we would just call a professional since they had already screwed it and many other things up. We spent a good bit of money with them and we were not happy at all. I would look elsewhere for more professional people.

I am by no means making a recommendation to work with this company or not work with them. Please do your own research and make your own judgements. Mikes Kitchen Bath & Frplc promised a job for which they were given tens of thousands of dollars upfront as a downpayment in trust. They took the money and then began fronting excuse after excuse to delay the work. Nearly, two years later they failed to deliver. In my conversations with the staff, I found the staff to be rude , offensive, dismissive, threatening, and aggressive any time you expressed desire to make changes to labor and materials. My and my families vision for the renovation clearly did not matter. Like MANY others in the reviews, I had a key family member pass away while waiting for them to decide to do the work. My family informed them of the family member passing and magically they were ready to do the work. We told them we were now not ready and were not sure we wanted the work or wanted the work in the same design. They claimed they bought all the material months ago (which they refused to show to us) and there was only a 5 day return window. They could not return the materials and had to do the job with the materials they secured. This condition never brought upfront to me. I was floored that they bought the materials when they had no intent to do the job in the time frame as agreed. This immediately violated my trust and confidence in them, because they could not be trusted with the deposit. Upon reviewing the material pricing we discovered the prices of the materials to be 3 to 4 times the price. They claimed it was because of COVID. I don't recall COVID affecting faucet prices in late 2022. They claimed that ALL this material was custom and built solely for our job. Kholr is a brand name. I don't think Kholr builds faucets on a one-off basis. During the conversations in 2022 they said the materials were all available in there warehouse. They had thousands of options. There was no mention custom casting tiles and faucets form Kholr or elevated prices due to constrained supply lines. They were inflexible to change and flat out refused to work with us. When I questioned the pricing on materials, they flat out refused to show proof. When I reviewed their labor, I found they added tens of thousands on labor for a job that should take a week or less. They couldn't come up with a job schedule and when questioned they would give ranges between a few weeks to month or more. When asked why they needed that much money for a small job they claimed it was because they had to walk up stairs and work on the second floor. They absolutely refused to put a proper labor contract together and validate their labor prices. They refused to change their labor, adjust the work, or work with us in any way. They were very aggressive and threatening about this process. Coming away from Mikes Kitchen Bath & Frplc, I feel that I have been lied too, maliciously targeted, frauded, and that I have potentially led other family members into harms way. My experience has taught me that this is an aggressive company with low ethical and behavior standards. My research online and conversations with them directly indicate to me that they are targeting a certain population demographic and going after them. I have never encountered a company like this before and hope I never do again. In dealing with this company I have learned about these crucial resources for consumers.
