We've always gone here for our cars' mechanical needs, but when my neighbor's tree damaged my car, this was the first place we thought of for body repair. I echo the good reviews for this place. On a road trip when my truck started wobbling. I called around and no place I called could take me for several days. So I asked family in the area for recommendations and they told me about Allegheny County Customs. I explained that I had to be back on the road the next afternoon and although the place was busy, they worked longer to accommodate. Checked all 4 of my bearings and determined only one was bad, fixed it, no upsell, and fair price charged. read more

I accidentally left the review under the comments section but ill keep this brief! I LOVE this place, they do excellent body work and service, plus they price everything reasonably. They are very friendly and willing to work with you the best they can. I love their honesty and they are the one shop in Pugh that I can trust. Besides there only 2 car garage, they manage to fit you in within a week of your request. I get all my regular maintenance and service done here and even body work! Sean is the mechanic and Steve is the owner. I talk to them both frequently so the relationship is better than what you would get at a Midas or Meineke. They get lots of business and sometimes their parking lot is too full to even turn around in but you manage. My only request is a bigger lot on a less busy road... But for the service it's something I can handle! read more

I am particular about my vehicles and do most of my own work however when replacing my mufflers (& tips) I wanted it done right and welded in. I am not a welder so I contacted them, provided my vehicle information, told them what I wanted done- was told sure no problem. Dropped my vehicle off first thing in the morning per the appointment & directly handed the staff my parts which were not packaged and were clearly stainless steel-no problem. Called in at 130 as I had not heard anything and was told my vehicle was the next to come into the shop, a little disappointed as the vehicle was dropped off at 8 am but ok- no problem. Forward to 3pm. I receive a call advising that they could not do the work because they could not weld stainless steel,- problem. Kept my vehicle for 7 hours & couldn't do the work. Does not seem to be much of a "custom" shop. read more

I'm taking my car somewhere else! The car they sold me has obvious electrical problems, the car alarm goes off all the time, the door a jar light dings all the time, and my car obviously NEEDS front end brakes but they are insistent that it does not, I'm glad they put it on paper so I have something to show when I crash into something. Not to mention the car conveniently broke down two weeks after they sold it to me, another 2k well spent. They well no longer be getting any business from me, my friends or anyone who asks for a mechanic. HORRIBLE. read more

The service was unbelievably amazing. Our brakes malfunctioned 25 minutes outside of Pittsburgh and due to the fact that it was 6 p.m. on a Tuesday we thought we would have to get a hotel for the night after a 4 and a half hour car ride, but we stumbled upon an AutoZone where an employee referred us here, and we could not be happier. We were seen immediately by Shawn who assessed our car and told us exactly what was wrong. He then called the auto part store for us and we were able to get the part immediately. Shawn then stopped whatever he was doing previously and as soon as we returned fixed our car in under half an hour for an extremely reasonable price. Truly fantastic work and even better workers who truly care about their customers. Could not have stumbled upon a better place for help in a tough situation. read more

Sean is the man over there. He does good work and they don't over charge. He has done a few small things here and there for pennies on the dollar but I make sure to always take my vehicle there for everything from Big to small and in between. I can't speak highly enough about Steve and his crew. They have worked on my car on several occasions and I can always trust them to take care of everything. Today I drove over a nail and pulled into the nearest place available because I wasn't sure how far I'd be able to drive. They told me the tire was unrepairable and they wanted to charge me $200 for a new tire. I knew Allegheny County Customs was less than a mile away so I asked for my car back and chanced driving there which was the best thing that I could have done. They had me fixed up in less than 5 minutes and barely asked for much money at all. Steve also said that he never would have charged me that much money for a new tire even if I had needed it. They are always friendly and reasonably priced and I never feel like I'm getting taken advantage of for being a girl. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. You won't be sorry. read more
