We recently experienced water damage to our home and signed a contract with AllDone Construction to complete the necessary repairs. Unfortunately, this has been an extremely disappointing experience.
We were scheduled to begin work on Monday, Sep/28, at 8:00 AM. However, the crew did not arrive until approximately 9:00 A.M. They put down floor covering and install the sheet rock then left around 5PM.
We were told they would return Tuesday Sep 29th at 8:30 AM, but did not show up until 9:30AM to process the wall texture.
On Wednesday Sep 30th, they did not arrive until approximately 3:00 PM. Took measurement for the base board left to purchase the material and departed 5.
My husband called them for status and he was told they had another emergency job.
On Thursday, they arrived around 9:00 AM, painted the walls, installed the baseboards, and left around 5:30 PM.
We were told they would return Friday morning @ 11AM to install the light fixture and remove all of the construction debris. We specifically told them on two separate occasions that we did NOT want the trash left on the side of our house. Despite this, no one showed up on Friday as promised, and the debris was left behind.
Once more my husband spent all afternoon trying to get the project manager to respond and was told they had another emergency job that came up.
The lack of professionalism, communication, punctuality, and respect for our home and this project has been extremely disappointing. A construction project should be properly scheduled and managed, and the repeated delays and failure to follow through on commitments made this experience unnecessarily stressful.
In addition, we discovered a crack in the window after the work was completed. The company claimed that they did not cause the damage. However, the window was not cracked before they began working in the area, and we are very concerned about how this was handled.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend AllDone Construction to anyone. We expected professional workmanship, communication, and respect for our home, and unfortunately, that was not our experience. read more
