Walked in and the place was pretty much empty as far as customers go.. Jacob yelled hey how are you doing? He explained everything to me and came to the car and help with the bottles and cans I had... Because of him service gets a AAA+ I will say one thing a bit negative... After getting my receipt from the guys inside the main (open) hot as f%#@ building I walked back to the inner (closed) building to get the cash and let them know that they guys outside did a great job taking care of me but it seemed like they could care less in there room with AC relaxing.. The response I got was "Wright a review" Yeah thanks, buddy... I was going too but my point was the workers on the flour are doing a good job.... If in fact there's new management here... Hot mess express choo chooooooooo!! Lol!! I don't know any other way to describe this place but hey, look, if you need to do a hassle free drop off of a small household appliance (for us it was a mini fridge) then this is the place to go!! **WARNING** parking is unfavorable, people either cannot read the enter and exit signs and the lot is so small you are screwed trying to rightly go in thru the entrance around the horseshoe to the other side to park in a marked stall without having someone else come in through the exit gate to the parking stall and swiping the spot before you get there!! We ended up getting stuck inside of the parking area as someone decided to pull there truck with trailer behind our car, park and leave the truck right where it was! These types of issues should be monitored by staff and someone should keep traffic flowing properly. Other than the parking situation it was easy and simple to drop off the mini fridge and go!! read more

It's been a while since I've been to All Ways, but the last time I was their they did come out to my car helped me load my recyclables and separated everything. NOT ANY MORE! They don't met you out front anymore and you have to do all the separating before you go inside! They don't even come outside to help push all the containers inside. Customer service really sticks now! Their website doesn't even offer coupons or tell you their prices. It's useless! Wish they would go back to their old ways!! read more

I have to say that I was very disappointed in this business Used them for the 1st time due to California regulations I was not able to collect my payment Until after a waiting period. Do to covid my mother passed Had to go to Texas to organize funeral and take care of her estate. Returned try to get my money 3 days out of 90 days which in very fine print on the receipt wasted my time driving there to collect my $27 They wouldn't give it to me apologised apologies don't give me my money after I gave you my scrap so easy payment is not so easy Would not recommend this place. read more

I have been coming here for over 12 years, usually every 3 months or so, there have been changes through out the years and a change of ownership which all in all it was tolerable, until this last trip on 01/28/23. I did my usual search for coupons for the highest price at other places since they have always matched the price from competitors, I also check their website. After my cans and plastic were weighed I took my ticket to the cashier and presented it with a coupon, she handed it back and said they don't take competitors coupons anymore, after a couple of minutes of discussing this change she asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. After he walked up I questioned the change, he further explained that due to government regulations they weren't paid as much as they used to get. I pulled up their website and asked why it stated "Highest prices paid guaranteed" I showed him the competitors coupons and pointed out that All Ways was NOT the highest paying center, he said they have difficulties with their website and taking things off. Hmmmm, After all was said and done he offered to pay me THEIR coupon price of a 1.70, their posted price was 1.65. No where was it posted on their website or in the facility that they no longer accepted competitors coupons, had it been posted on their website I would not have taken my recycling to them. I lost 50.88 due to their lack of letting people know they changed their policy and that they don't honor their websites posting of "highest prices paid guaranteed" In this day and age I really don't care where I take my recycling, all these places are pretty much the same. Since their change I won't be going there anymore and like some people have mentioned, it is not the most convenient place to try and park. BTW the coupon I had was for 2.00 a pound. read more

Watch what you get. I called on the phone and checked the price of clean extruded aluminum. Was quoted 24 cents a lb. An hour later they weighed my 39 lbs. of aluminum and handed me a ticket with a 15 cent a lb. price. I told the guy I had been quoted 24 cents a lb. on the phone by a woman. He checked with the woman/ cashier. he re-did the ticket scribbling on it. When I got to the cashier and they cashed me out I got 21 cents a lb. I left, it wasn't worth fighting over the $1.17 they screwed me out of. read more

The particular gentleman who came out to help out the bf and I made the otherwise mundane experience of recycling quite enjoyable. He greeted us upon our arrival and wheeled out a giant bin to collect our items. After cracking a joke or two about the very minuscule amount of bottles and paper we brought (maybe this place is more accustomed to larger loads), he threw everything in the bin and wheeled it into the facility. We followed close behind and watched some other employees further sort through our items. I was handed a piece of paper and proceeded to the cashier. Our total cashout came to a grand total of $4.04. First and foremost...A bunch of hotttt guys work here. Cute...tattooed...and polite young men (that are, obv, employed): "Hello, my name is Paige, I am single..." (...too much?) Ok. Now that I got that out of the way...This place is coo: PROS: -My mom found a coupon in the El Cajon penny saver that gets you $2.00/lb for cans. (The place I normally go to has a coupon for $1.90/lb [American Recycling]...and honestly had I known how much further we had to drive to this place, I would have stuck with the $1.90. Just sayin. But $2.00...thats fun!) -They grab all your recycling, dump it into a bin, haul it in and sort it for you. How nice! (Although...I actually kinda like sorting my recycling. Idk why...call me crazy) -Im pretty sure they pay you for damn near errything...They even gave us credit for our cardboard beer boxes overflowing with bottles and cans. (American Recycling doesnt...at least not when I go) -All the guys that we dealt with were super polite. They even gave us props for the large patron bottle we were recycling. (We know, we know...We are so cool!) CONS: -This place is in B.F.E....My mom even lives in El Cajon and it still took us for.ev.er. to get there. -Dirty. Grimey. Dirty. Pretty standard recycling center. (They do have a sink with soap and towels to wash off at though) -Kinda confusing. I mean, I have been to plenty of recycling centers in my day and I was kinda like "Huh?" but in the end the crazy old lady in the tied shirt and cowboy boots was there to always point us in the right direction. Just went by there at 11:30 am on Sunday with a truck full of stuff, gates were closed and locked. Rude man said they were closed do not enter. I said your hours say open until 1pm. The metal recycling place was good but this new owner is worthless. His website said he closes at 5, google said he closes at 5, and I even called the phone number and the answering machine said 5. I got there at 4:50. I try and pull in and the owner said "Oh sorry we're closed, we close at 4." I go back and forth with him for a little, even showing him the google page I searched up, he still says I'm wrong. I even call the number in front of him and show him his own recording and he tells me it's for the place next door where they were one company before selling. At this point I don't see any point in proving him wrong over and over again so I stop arguing. I don't understand, how can you own a place and still not know how to change a time on a recording machine. Anyways, I'm not coming back here again and you shouldn't either. read more

The best recycling place for someone who hates getting dirty, like I do. As I pull in to park, the guys are already on their way out with a dumpster cart for my recycling. They got it out of my car, brought it inside, sorted it all, and handed me my receipt for cash without me having to do a thing. Very rude, I asked before they unloaded $4,000 worth of material what I needed they said nothing after its all unloaded Steel, Stainless, and aluminum they tell me it's only $72 bucks then tell me because I didn't have my resale license on me I had to wait 3 days. Tiffanee is a very snotty rude Lil bitch we asked both before we went and after we arrived. Fuck this place 0 stars if I could and I don't recommend any one to go there. I was new to recycling when I went so I only had Yelp reviews to go by. The guys DID NOT come out to unload for me, as everyone else said they do. I asked another patron and they said to grab a bin and unload into that then wheel it into the building and wait in line. So we did that, and when we got inside and looked confused, someone came up and started helping us - they sorted all our items but most things were not worth money. Only CRV bottles and cans. All the jars and other plastic we brought were worth no cash (they do recycle it for you, just do not pay you). A whole SUV filled with stuff came down to only $24 worth of value and a lot of stuff I should have left in the recycle bin at home. But it was my first time and I had no idea what I was doing - so live and learn. read more

I have been looking around in East County for a regular recycling place and my first visit here was the best so far. A friendly employee came and helped me unload and rolled it inside for me. There the sorting began (no presorting necessary!) and then I collected my cash. Parking lot flow was easy (not always the case) and they have a coupon online for better rate on cans. Like others have said in their reviews, this place used to be great, even coming to your vehicle to help you with your recyclables. Even when that stopped, the staff, in general, has been very professional.....until today! A very young fella was quietly helping me out, when one of his co-workers aggressively came to help him out, and right off the bat started to belittle me with I needed to better sort my plastics, by separating my clears and others. When I said that was news to me, as I told him nobody has ever told me that in the many years that I've been going there, he got an attitude of not believing me and got all defensive. So, then I told him I wasn't ever gonna remember all that because I have Alzheimer's, in which in b truth I'm just extremely forgetful. He then says he has the right to send me on my way if I'm gonna act like that. Act like what? I'm the customer, the customer is always right, and definitely doesn't deserve to be treated like crap. I then tell him this is elder abuse, and he storms off to go whine like the little bitch that he is to the owner, who I'm convinced is his Daddy, who was very nice, although he took his son's side for the most part. In short, because of one employee being unprofessional and disrespectful, I'll never go back here, even though that's what they want. Good customer service isn't in their vocabulary!!! I'm sure the punk just got outta prison. But, that's no way to treat another person, EVER! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention.... for 6 overflowing bags of plastics, glass, and aluminum they intentionally ripped me off and only gave me $15.25, when in the past I've made as much as $42!!!
