The pressure used on my hips, thighs, and glute area felt too strong for my stage of recovery, and I left feeling physically uncomfortable afterward. I have had lymphatic massages before, and this experience felt very different. The owner did refund my session after I shared my concerns, which I appreciated. I would still encourage post-op clients to clearly discuss pressure level and experience with surgical recovery before booking. I personally would not return for post-op lymphatic massage, and I would encourage others recovering from surgery to ask detailed questions beforehand.

If you're looking for a place that gives good lymphatic massages. I do suggest asking for a masseuse that solely focuses on that but my experience with lymphatic massage is here was sadly not a good one and maybe you should look elsewhere for that specific service.. They deal with our insurance immediately and it is always taken care even though we are out of network. Dr Pena takes her time, explains things fully, always asks if you have any concerns or questions and prescribes only what is absolutely necessary for the issues I deal with. Most important to me, she is the only dermatologist I've ever been to that managed to get my rosacea under control! I have been here numerous times and have always had a most positive experience.
