I came here for a little while for lashes. Veronica use to do my lashes and it was an ok job. Since she moved some other girl came in I can't remember her name it was like Yesenia or something. She gave me 13's all over my eye. Never in the 5 years I've been getting lashes done have I had that done. It was so bad. Amy does a really good job but it can be hard to book with her. There also we're a couple times where I had my appointment cancelled and once where she didn't even show up. I was compensated both times but just seems too wishy washy for me, especially since I have school and come from NB. Since Veronica has left I have too. Although Amy does a great job with lashes it might be awhile to find someone to replace Veronica and I'm not interested in fighting for appointment slots. read more

Two out of the four appointments I have had with Amie she has cancelled while I was either sitting in her studio waiting for her or as I was driving there. Since she is the only experienced lash person in SM and her prices are reasonable I stayed with her hoping it got better. During our appointments her son is always present and sits UNDER the table while she puts lashes on. Occasionally he will shake the table which is really unnerving. Her door is always open and people come in and out and have conversations with her. She even answers the phone during our appointments. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism. Today my appointment was for 11:30 am. At 11:29 am I received a confusing text saying something about rescheduling. And as I pulled up to the studio the gates were closed. Trying to get clarification I immediately texted back and called but got no answer. (I would have tried the studio phone but it had not been working.) Long story, short, Amie ultimately blamed me for this situation and I was left with no appointment, no lashes and no apology. I don't understand if it's immaturity or just lack or respect for other people's time. Either way, it's no way to treat anyone. Especially clients. I had my lashes done for the first time in Austin and was so pleased, but living in San Marcos, who has the time for that? So when I found out about Amie, I was super excited. The setting of her little studio was as warm and welcoming as she was. Decorated in cute gold accents and string lights! The hour and a half of lash application was incredibly relaxing. I think I even fell asleep. With Amie being so gentle and careful, how could you not? I hardly felt a thing. Amie is really good when it comes to eyelash extensions BUT she has cancelled on me 3 different times on the same days my appointments were supposed to be and doesn't make an effort to reschedule. I gave this place two tries and it won't get a third. *The first time I went, I arrived early to my appointment to only find out the lady who was suppose to do my eyelashes quit on them days ago. The owner didn't do her proper homework to ensure all the people who were booked for that lady had received proper notifications on the issue. While I was waiting to be rescheduled, another lady came in for her appointment asking to be seen early if possible, only to find out she can't even be seen for her appointment because she too was booked with the lady who quit. Mind you, some of these appointments are made weeks in advance and again the lady had quit on them days ago. I was rescheduled and was seen by a pleasant lady with black hair. She did my eyelashes wonderfully, it took her awhile. I will say though, she did not clean my eyelashes before applying the fake ones. Which I had found odd because I've been getting my eyelashes done for 3 years and they have always been properly cleaned before eyelash application to ensure the eyelashes adhere better to the natural. I could tell this affected my eyelashes because the eyelash extensions did not adhere like they usually do, especially to my right eye. I sleep on the left side and again, I have had eyelash extensions for three years. I know how to care for them. * The second time, was today, it was a three week follow up appointment . I was seen by Nicky. She was very pleasant and sweet. But her technique definitely needs improvement. First off she did not clean my eyelashes. Even though I requested her too. And she removed some of the old raggedy eyelash extensions by using TWIZZERS!!!! I didnt even know she was doing that. I thought she was parting them or something. Because I've never had that done to me so I definitely didn't think she was removing them with twizzers!! I've never heard of any establishment using twizzers to remove eyelash extensions. I didn't think about it at the time when she told me what she did when she was done. She told me because it took some extra time and she was telling me she had to remove my old ones because they were not good. I didn't think they were bad, just a couple on my right eye. I've only ever had the ones that were clearly needing replaced removed when I was going for my 3 week maintenances, which is what I use to always get. Every place does there stuff differently I get it but for them to think pulling out old eyelash extensions with twizzers is not good. I'm sure my natural eyelashes were damaged in the process and some even ripped off. If they thought that they all needed to be removed that's fine, use eyelash remover glue not twizzers because I still want my natural eyelashes. *I'm home and can see in the mirror that my left eye looks a lot less fuller then the right eye. And the left eye is the one that had more eyelashes extensions on it that she removed with twizzers. I'm super nervous now. I hope there not permanently damaged and they grow back. I can also see that on my left side she must of accidentally glued two fake eyelashes to one natural eye on the corner of my left eye which makes it noticeable because it sticks out further then the rest. She also glued a fake eyelash to the bottom and top of the corner of my left eye. SMH. So my right eye looks amazing. And my left eye looks thinner, doesn't have as much curl and looks a mess on the putter corner. * I'm never going to go back to this place. I don't want to end up with no eyelashes and also want my eyelash extensions to look good. I'll definitely be taking my business elsewhere and I hope so will you. The prices are cheap but it's not worth it. Cuz In the long run, all the damage they will do will cost you in the end. read more

I went to do my lashes with Amie for the first time today and I loved it! I walked in and she greeted me right away. I didn't wait for any amount of time. The salon and her room are decorated so cute. She was really informative about the process. She listened to what I wanted and got my lashes EXACTLY how I wanted them. During your appointment she will have children running around, one child was even under my table playing video games extremely loudly. While screaming at his mother. (Not relaxing at all)... then when you try to make a fill appointment good luck getting them to answer your call. Then sure make one on the website except for the fact the website will crash on you. There is truly an art to the types of lashes that she will put on you that deals with eye shape, lash extension width, lash extension length and lash extension curl. Amie isn't just giving you eyelash extensions, she is designing them around your own eyes to make them look 10 times prettier! First time ever writing a review, and unfortunately, it's a bad one. I've gone to Ladybird Lash on multiple occasions, and while the techs are friendly and good at their jobs, the owner, Amie, has failed me and others, multiple times. I have had my appointment cancelled twice, and was scheduled on a day they were closed. I don't live in San Marcos where they are located, so showing up to a closed shop was infuriating. This has also happened to a friend of mine who is also a regular here. I was supposed to get my lashes done today at 11:45, and had made the appointment almost a month in advance. I called to confirm because I've been cancelled on before, and sure enough, the owner and my lash tech Amie, was "out of town". This is maddening. I leave on Wednesday for a vacation and would've loved to have my lashes done. Totally first world problems, but it's upsetting nonetheless. Im giving Ladybird Lash a 3/5 Stars because they have a clean facility, scheduling (when done correctly) is easy, and the techs are well trained. Other than that, I have been disappointed one too many times, therefore I will no longer be giving them my business. If you plan on going here, be sure to double and triple check to be sure that the owner will do her part and actually show up. read more

Everyone here was so sweet and helped me out so much!!! The only charged me for a 2 week fill and completely fixed my lashes and the looked amazing!! I've been getting my lashes done for years. When I moved to San Marcos, I needed to find a new place to get them done. The first time I set it up, it was nice because they could schedule an appointment for me pretty quickly, the price was great, and I liked how my lashed looked (even though it took a lot longer than my previous lash technician). But I was happy. I went back a second time, still happy. Third appointment was scheduled for 830AM. Amie cancelled the appointment the morning of (things happen I guess, not ideal, but it is what it is). I had to text her several times to get another time rescheduled, but she did end up giving me a new appointment time. I went at our new scheduled time and the salon was closed. I texted her, called her, called the salon (in case someone was hiding in the back) with no response. i waited for 25 minutes and no one ever showed up. Still have not received an apology or a text to reschedule or anything. When you are able to get your lashes done, they are good. But I had to leave work twice within a week for appointments that didn't end up happening, so that is pretty frustrating. read more

RIDICULOUS establishment! Can't even put a number on the times I've been rescheduled with my appointment. The owner has gave me at least 3 different "stories" that don't add up as to why she has to reschedule. I have had to drive down from Austin (at-least 45mins-an hour drive) just to find out she wasn't there or the salon was closed. I even waited outside for 30 minutes hoping someone would at least show up. I get contacted that I would be rescheduled, I drive down again still to find that there is no one to do my lashes. What a waste of time!!! Needless to say I won't be scheduling again and being that this is a small business in a small town what they are doing is NOT going well for them. Word of mouth travels fast and I will be warning everyone who wants to get there lashes done here. They have great reviews for their lash services but that's if you can get them to SHOW UP to their own appointment after multiple times of being scheduled. They need to grow up and take responsibility if they want to own a business. After reading other reviews, it is for sure confirmed that this establishment is very sketchy and I WOULDN'T waste my business there. read more

Absolutely love this place and the technician Amy. she does an amazing job, is very quick and reasonably priced. I've definitely had some poor experiences with lash extensions in the past and it isn't fun considering some can be extremely costly. She does get booked up pretty fast so you usually have to book weeks in advance, which is the only reason I haven't been back but she is definitely worth the wait. read more

I have written a review once before about this establishment and then later deleted because I felt I might have judged too harshly. I'm writing this review to inform future customers how i have seen this business conduct itself unprofessionally. The first time I made an appointment here I came in on a Saturday and once I had arrived I had been informed the woman doing my lashes had cancelled. They later chalked it up to having an incorrect number for me which the recorded wrong and that's not their fault but this could have been avoided. I gave them another chance and went it. Their work is adequate, that is not my issue here. I have made 2 more appointments and I was once again cancelled on THE DAY OF. I think this is unprofessional considering there is a cancellation policy for customers stating they have to pay a fee for cancelling less than 24 hours ahead of time. Of my three appointments two have been cancelled by staff. That's ridiculous and I feel as if they don't take their job seriously. I was not disappointed with the quality of their lashes, but I do hope they can be more efficient and care more about their clients. I have been let down 2 of the 3 times I have dealt with this business and I'm not sure I will attempt to come back as a client. read more
