    Chef Dani catered my event the other weekend and, not to be redundant, but it the whole experience finally culminating with the food truly was fabulous. Chef Dani is extremely accommodating and helpful, fun to work with and innovative with the food and design ideas, and even managed to blow away my expectations on the actual output. Both the presentation on the food was gorgeous and the food itself was phenomenal. Plus, Chef Dani worked with me up front and was so cooperative to create the exact menu that I wanted. Also, she and her staff were very professional the day of the event and kept everyone happy and wanting more food.

    I have been to several parties catered by the Amazing Dani, and she has never disappointed. From setup to cleanup her whole operation is impeccable. First off her food is amazing! Most prepared food tastes packaged or bland, but Dani's dishes are just as warm and tasty as her spirit is. In my own humble opinion, one of her best dishes is her lamb chops. They are seriously to die for. She serves them medium rare and includes a sweet bbq sauce for dipping. I can eat at least ten...and counting For dinner she knows how to please a crowd with a beautiful tri-tip that is perfectly medium rare. This tough 'n sweet blondie also makes a delicious broccolini. Tender and garlicky, it's the perfect summer side. If I haven't convinced you yet that you need Dani's food in your life, then just take a leap of faith and just try it (though I assure you there's no leap to take). Her professionalism is inspiring. The way she's able to direct guests while cooking ten things at once is a feat in its own and she does it so effortlessly - doesn't even break a sweat! So if you want some awesome home cooked food and a wonderful party, THIS IS YOUR GO TO GIRL!

His menu selections were top notch, and my husband and I were thrilled with the outcome. We did 3 appetizers before the 4 course meal began. We did the elote (street corn) appetizer, tuna tartare, and lamb chop. Of note, I don't eat lamb at all, but Eric's Lamb chop was AN AMAZING FLAVOR BOMB! I appreciated that him and his server showed up prepared with all of their supplies (and small plates for serving). For dinner, we had the heirloom tomato and burrata salad, followed by the char grilled octopus, then the Australian Wagyu steak with creme brûlée to finish. The menu was superb, Eric presented his gorgeous plates with detail and attention, and (of course) they cleaned up everything after! Everything is labeled and he even cleans up after he's done cooking! Best best of all... the food tastes AMAZING!!! OMG!!! He has introduced new foods and tastes to us that my wife and I had no idea existed, and he has transformed familiar foods into whole new taste and experience. And second best of all, he's pleasant to have in your kitchen! Meaning, he's not weird or awkward or anything. He's very knowledgeable about what he does and sometimes takes the time to teach us fun facts about certain things. He worked with me on a menu and he delivered my vision. Even with extreme circumstances (another vendor broke our garage door 24 hours before the event) Chef Peter and his crew took it in stride. They were on time and hauled their heavy equipment in and got straight to work. He was basically cooking/grilling on one side of our building (back patio), having to run back forth to the interior kitchen and sink. He and his crew worked SO hard that night. They are very professional. Every plate was perfect, they cleared the tables and made sure everything was spotless when they left. I also hired Jacob the Bartender (he works with Chef Peter) and WOW! Then luckily, Chef Mumsie messaged me, we had a lovely conversation over the phone, and the wheels started turning. Within 2 days, Chef Mumsie put together an entire menu, featuring 4 different unique flights of food, along with the quote and contract agreement that really blew us out of the water. She listened to our budget needs, while still providing delicious and decadent food that our guests loved!     I have to qualify this review first by saying I have worked as a professional cook and have owned a…read morecatering business. So I have an eye for and know what works and what doesn't, what can be prepped beforehand without sacrificing quality, and what can be done on sight and off-site with the aim of making sure everything is properly expedited and comes out on time. When I arrived the table was set up nicely set up and decorated. However, we had previously informed Chef that we were going to be 13 and we would like two tables, as some people are uncomfortable with sitting at a table of 13 people. So we had to ask Chef to please separate the two tables. When Bridgette came the day before, my wife mentioned she wanted a table of 6 and one of 7, not two tables pushed together to make 13. There were also no cloth napkins, but paper napkins. I guess assuming that a request for "linens" did not include cloth napkins, only tablecloths. Even though this was done in our home where we are well equipped, I still expect anyone coming to prepare food to come fully equipped to meet their needs without having to use the home equipment. This was not the case, as Chef used our Kitchenaid, tongs, and other items. As well, they did not have a serving platter for one of the hors'd'oeuvres. Furthermore, they had to use some of our silverware because they did not bring everything needed (spoons, forks). There were steak knives on the table when we were eating fish, and no other knives. Finally, they used all my kitchen towels-easy enough to bring your own hand towels. As well, because we used the plates on the table for hors'd'ouevres, they had to wash and prepare again for salad plates, as they had expected the hors'd'oeuvres to simply be finger food. Nonetheless, the hors'd'oeuvres-asparagus with prosciutto and chicken bites, or whatever they might have been-still require plates. This delayed serving. Personally, I would have brought the salad all prepped. Because it wasn't prepped, it meant a longer serving delay. The server didn't know the difference between wine and water glasses-some basic protocol needed. The food was excellent, served hot and fresh like it should be. We had a delicious shaved fennel salad with parmesan, and a main course of Blackened Sea Bass with a succotash and roasted potatoes. That is the beauty of preparing on-site. I say this with the caveat, as mentioned earlier, that a few things could have been prepped beforehand without sacrificing quality. This would have allowed the service to flow more quickly and not have such long delays between dishes. As Chef prepared the chocolate mousse on site, some people had to leave before dessert since it took well over 45 minutes between our main course and dessert. If I had done this lunch, I would have brought the mousse pre-made. They used up my whole bag of ice too-I would have brought ice. Finally, food left over was taken away and not left with us. I asked the server I f she was going to leave the food to me as she was walking out and she laughed uncomfortably and said no. My assumption is that the client paid for the food, they should get any leftovers. I give Kudos to the Chef for excellent food, but the service was uncomfortably slow and everyone noticed. Finally, the server was inexperienced. Overall, organization and attention to details were lacking. To end on a positive note, they did an excellent job leaving the kitchen just as the found it and were friendly and professional despite the hiccups mentioned. I didn't have to worry about anything. If you are looking for good food, Chef Mumsie does a great job. But please ask that they send you experienced servers, and make sure to point out every possible detail that you can think of, because in my experience, they did not have a checklist or form to check off what you do or don't need for an event.

I did some other research on different companies in the area and this was the easiest to order from and get estimates. Day of, the chefs showed up early, got set up quickly, and were ready to go right on time. The food was fantastic and there was so much of it - we were still enjoying leftovers for many meals afterwards. Beyond the food, the entertainment really made the night. The chefs were hilarious, engaging, and kept the whole group laughing with plenty of surprises sprinkled throughout the evening. This is such a great option for a big group and made the celebration feel extra special without having to leave the house. Highly recommend booking two chefs if you can - it keeps service moving quickly and doubles the entertainment value.
