Thai food ranks as one of my favorite cuisines, so when friends suggested a new Thai restaurant when I was over at their place recently, it didn't take much convincing! We ordered carry out from All Thai'd Up, a new restaurant in the former home of Gasthaus. Ordering on Toast was easy, and the food was ready quickly. A friendly employee passed it right to me When I walked in the door. The spot feels cozy and inviting, and I would love to go back and dine in again soon. The food stayed warm throughout the drive back. Everything we tried tasted wonderful - from the mango sticky rice to the pad see ew, and the pad Thai. Portions are a generous size and I ate most of my dinner, leaving about 1/3 of it for another time. This is one spot I'll be adding to my list to hit up again! read more

Decor is cute. Feels Thai. Service was good. Waitress was very friendly. Food was blah. The pork and shrimp dip was fine. I appreciate the fresh veg to also dip. The crackers are extremely thin and makes a mess unlike the traditional rice crackers usually served this dip. We ordered pad kraw pao and boat noodles for entrees. The pad kraw pao was extremely salty. Almost inedible but the rice saved it kind of. I regret not tasting the liquid before spooning it on to my rice though. The boat noodles tasted off. Like the blood added for an emulsifier was old or the temperature was off when add. It really threw the soup flavor off that even adding condiments couldn't save. For dessert we got mango sticky rice and the coconut ice cream. They both looked delicious. However salted coconut cream that was on top of the ice cream was ridiculously salty too. Luckily we didn't pour it on the mango sticky rice and were able to control the saltiness. I really wanted to like this place since it was advertised as authentic Thai and I'm always searching for that but unfortunately the food just didn't hit. And it may be authentic in technique but the flavor is not for me. But there were plenty of other patrons that seemed to enjoy their food. read more

The food here was phenomenal, and this is exactly the kind of business I'm proud to support with my money. The owner and staff were incredibly welcoming and personable, which made the experience even better. I come to Louisville about twice a year, and I will absolutely make it a point to support this restaurant every time I'm in town. The pad thai was excellent, and the spring rolls were fresh and flavorful. Everything I ordered was thoughtfully prepared and clearly made with care. I'm really looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes on the menu. Went in for lunch after an appointment and will now be going here when I have a hankering for Thai. I got the lunch portion of Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with tofu ($16). It comes with a vegetarian egg roll--crispy and light. The dish is wonderfully spicy (my nose ran), and you can add more spice with the condiments on the spice caddy. Great flakes and chili oil! I got a slice of tiramisu cheesecake to go--and glad I did. Creamy and fluffy and a good mix of sweet and cocoa-bitter. Can't wait to go back and try the curry flight. read more

I really enjoyed this place! Happen to recognize the owner, Chef Kat (Hope she's ok that I mention this), and she shared lots of great knowledge about the Thai culture, food, and the menu. I love to learn about various cultures and bonus got the chance to do it in our own backyard. I had the chicken pad Thai. Great flavor! Would highly recommend you try it and stop in for a visit. I wasn't feeling well, so I ordered delivery... lo and behold, I accidentally switched the order to pick-up. So I had to drive on over. And guess what? I'm so glad I did. It was such a cute decor. The server/bartender was so sweet and friendly. Visiting this spot made me perk up right away! They had a little bakery set-up. I think it was mostly cheesecakes! No complaints here. The team member let me know this is a recently new thing and that I can actually order a flight of the mini-cheesecakes for only $9. SOLD. I got a strawberry, blueberry lemon, and apple caramel. They were all very good. Both fruit cakes tasted fresh, subtle, and like real fruit (not an ounce of fake flavor taste.) But the caramel apple was to DIE for. Like, it healed me. The apple was cooked perfectly--softened, but still with a nice bite to it. The caramel was a lovely rich, slightly sweet depth to the flavor with a perfect texture balanced between slightly thickened, but easy to eat. I also got mango sticky rice, papaya shrimp salad, and massaman chicken curry. The sticky rice was lovely, a nice balance of sweet, super fresh mango, and a delicious coconut sauce. Although once slice of the mango was mostly the pit, which was a little confusing. I have to say the currry was a little bland. Not a word I often use for any curry ever. The onion tasted like water, as if they were way too cooked down and had no bite to it at all. Just chewy. The chicken was very tender! The potato was bland. And there were two random cherry tomatoes plopped in (never seen that before) that weren't sauteed, braised, baked, nothing... just like a little salad added. I'm used to Massaman having a very yummy balance of slightly sweet, rich, and spicy sometimes with warm spice notes, but I just didn't get that here. The papaya salad was CRAZY bitter, and I kind of had to force myself to finish it. I'm still a fan though, and want to come back and try some other main dishes. Because the ambiance, service and cheesecake has me sold. I think it'd be a cute place to enjoy a drink, too. read more

I love Thai food and was so excited to try this restaurant during Louisville restaurant week. This place is a 10/10. The restaurant gives off a romantic vibe, low lights and candles. My friend and I sat in the cute hut in the restaurant. The Chicken Satay was good. The pork and shrimp dip was divine. I was going to try one of the items on the restaurant week menu but got excited when I saw Pad Prik King on the menu. There was a Thai restaurant in DC that I frequented that had this delicious item on their menu. I often crave so when I got to a Thai restaurant that has it I have to have it. I enjoyed the one here but some of the Thai restaurants fry the chicken and I think it adds a little something to the dish. My friend got the fish. It is a very spicy dish but absolutely delicious. We tried the Thai tea cheesecake. It wasn't my cup of tea. Not very sweet. Our server was wonderful. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu read more

First time enjoying Thai cuisine. First time experiencing "All Thai'd up" My wife and I sat at the bar because we knew we would have a lot of questions. The staff was great and explained Thai cuisine and all of their offerings. A very large selection indeed. We started with some well crafted bourbon cocktails. We enjoyed the shrimp and steamed dumpling appetizers which were delicious. Next we each had a different stir fry one with pork and one with chicken that we shared. Both were outstanding. I have been here a few times and have really enjoyed the food. We ordered the wings which are phenomenal and also ordered shrimp pad Thai. It was all very good. There was only one server there but the service was good. It wasn't super crowded which was nice. They have this cute hut that you can sit under for that exotic experience. Absolutely incredible experience! The food and service were both outstanding. This was hands-down the best Pad Thai I've ever had -- perfectly balanced, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. We also tried the summer rolls (so fresh and delicious!) and the Drunken Noodles, which were unbelievably good. They also bring a spice caddy to your table so you can customize the heat to your perfect level -- such a thoughtful touch! On top of the amazing food, their cocktail and mocktail selection is phenomenal. They also offer seasonal specials that look incredible -- you can tell they put real creativity and care into everything on the menu. The owner (and our server), Kat, is from Thailand, and you can taste the love and authenticity in every bite. She even shared the origin story of Drunken Noodles with us -- definitely ask her for the story when you go. Do yourself a favor and stop in. First time had a taste for some Thai food ~ had the Chicken Fried Rice with a vegetable egg roll that came with a sweet & sour spicy sauce ~ I ended up pouring that on my rice ~ additional hot seasonings were provided in case you wanted to make it spicy. Enjoyed a great glass of Moscato could have been poured in a wine glass. Server was very nice pleasant. Thai music was playing in the background and Christmas decorations up nice quaint spot. I have numerous food sensitivities, too many to list, and she was able to help me select a beautifully crafted Tom Yum Noodle Soup, followed up with a light and flavorful dessert of Coconut Cream Ice Cream with Jackfruit and Crushed Peanuts. Tom Yum is my go-to soup as its natural ingredients are something I can consume, and this was by far the best I've had in Louisville! The addition of the rice noodles was a lovely treat to create a full meal. The Coconut Cream Ice Cream was so light and tasty, and rounded out a fabulous meal. First meal of 2024 and I was very happy I had myself All Thai'd Up!! It was a cold night and I am just craving some hot spicy soup. The Tom Yum Shrimp soup was on point, gave me an appetite with the sourness and spices made me sweat a little and it was warming me up a little :-) then came the crab fried rice and you can tell the chef has some wok skill coz those rice were light fluffy and so much flavor. I love the added touch of the condiment options.. traditional Thai street food we always add some sugar to sprinkle. The condiment carriage was great !! Also I spoke to the owner about the family style dinner and it sounded exciting ! I am definitely going to round up a select group of lucky people to come experience that dinner spread ;-) I can see myself coming back for Thai food here more !! read more

We were traveling through the area and stopped for lunch. It was good but lacked a few things. We started with the spring roll, that was very good. Next I had the shrimp pad Thai. No heat at all and the peanut sauce lacked the peanut taste. We were given chopped peanuts to add but that didn't make up for the lack of peanut flavor in the sauce. It's a nice place but I'll probably go elsewhere next time I'm here. read more

They've updated their menu design since my first visit. I'm attaching pics. An edit about the spice level: it seems like most of their dishes actually aren't given any heat by default, instead they bring out a spice tray for you to add your own preferred level of spiciness. Ironically this works out great for people who want mild or "zero" heat -- just don't add any yourself. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The wait staff is attentive, cheerful and happy to explain things. The two times I've been there haven't been too crowded so the mood is relaxed and comfortable. read more

We shared the pre fixe meal and an additional app. Food was excellent, our waitress was superb (kind, funny and helpful) and the ambiance was exactly what you want for date night-- quiet, dimly lit, and cozy. The service was very slow on a busy night. Our Tom yum soup was forgotten but the charge was removed for the final bill. Our appetizers arrived 20-30 mins after ordering, meals came after 60 mins. The food was okay. I was looking forward to som tum but the dish was very bland and sour, not enough flavor. It was too plain and needed more fish sauce and other ingredients. The pad Thai and drunken noodles were good, very small portions for $20/dish. The kids grilled beef and rice was good, basic and easy for children to eat. $10. The khao soi was my favorite, very filling, spicy and I loved the picked mustard greens. I won't be back, but this is a good restaurant for those who want to taste some Thai food. read more

The service is great! Incredibly kind & accommodating staff! We also enjoyed the atmosphere. That being said, we came for lunch and the meals were $15 for a rather small portion size. We decided to give All Thai'd Up a try after hearing a lot of great reviews about their food and service. Since we love Thai food we were familiar with the entrees served and didn't have a problem picking a few dishes that we knew we would like. We enjoyed everything we chose, each dish had great flavor and the right amount of heat. From a service standpoint we had zero complaints. Our server was very attentive, checked on us frequently, and made sure we were pleased with our choices. I was especially impressed with the ambiance, they did a great job converting a German themed restaurant into a Thai inspired space. If you are looking for authentic Thai cuisine in a cozy, casual environment then this is your spot. We got the stop light curry, pad Thai, and drunken noodles. The pad Thai was great, and honestly probably the only thing I'd order again. The curries were fine- not spectacular. The drunken noodles were so hot I couldn't eat them and I love spicy food. I'd go back, but I'm Not in a huge hurry. read more

Went here for lunch (no lunch menu, they do offer smaller portions of several dishes) - I had Yellow Curry, which was okay but I've had much better - the potatoes were slightly undercooked, the broth was flavorful but very thin with only a few small pieces of onion - maybe I ordered the wrong thing as my dining partner (don't recall what they ordered) thought their meal was the best ever. Service was excellent - seemed to be on the higher end of the scale pricewise when compared to other local Thai restaurants. Would I go back - sure, however, I'd order something different read more
