One star is too high for this place. Customer service/shipping is the worst. Ordered line on 9/21/23. As of 9/26, order status shows no change. I called and explained I was disappointed that nothing had been done to ship and asked that he please do what he could to make sure the fishing line was shipped because I needed it for a fishing tournament on or before 10/3. I was told it was no problem, that it should be delivered by then. As of 9/29, the order status remained the same; nothing since 9/21. I called again and was told I would get a call back. Instead it was an email updating the shipping process. A shipping label was printed! Today, 10/2, is still says shipping label printed but no received by USPS yet. I called again. I should also point out that the first person I spoke with said I had to cancel my order by email to the company. I don't see an email address for them. read more

So I called ahead to see if I could get my fishing rod set up for a boating trip I was planning...spoke to a gentleman on the phone and was told that would be no problem and to come on in...upon entry the location was moderately crowded but that didn't stop the sales associate Joey from helping me out...Joey took both of my rods to work on and was back in less than 5 min while I cruised the rest of the items in the store. I also took a look at the hooks and weights and asked for his recommendation which he gladly provided. My experience was positive...I would return and would certainly recommend...what did it for me was the customer service...although there were others in the store my sales associate took time to complete my transaction before helping others...that goes a long way in my book. read more

I ordered a fishing plier that was supposedly in stock but did not get an update or reply to my inquiry for 3 weeks. Finally, I asked for a refund and received an automated message saying that my order is shipped--without a tracking number. I asked for the estimated delivery date without any reply. These guys are crooks. If I don't get it by the end of this week. I will have to dispute this charge with my credit card and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Very disappointed with the customer service and how long it takes to get a response or for them to answer the phone. I ordered my son a saltwater reel on July 1st and paid for it and he still has no reel? I have called and called the number listed and sent multiple emails. I finally got an email yesterday saying it was ready to ship! No explanation at all of the delay! I just checked the tracking number and as of 2:00 today only the label has been printed‍. I totally understand about any delays due to Covid but they could at least let the customer know that the item is back ordered and offer a refund! Terribly poor management. read more

I ordered an offshore trolling rod on line. Soon afterwards, I received an email stating that the rod was on backorder and would take 2-3 weeks. I clicked the link in the email to respond. I asked why the backorder was not stated online before I paid for the rod. I waited four days and got no response. So, I used the link again and asked the same question. I got an email back with: "Hello, Do you want to keep the order open or cancel?" Nothing to do with my question. I called and left a message. The manager emailed me back: "To answer your question, the rod you ordered sold in the store just prior to your online order, and for some reason, our inventory system did not update the numbers. We have 45,000 items and it is not easy keeping track of everything between the two stores and online. I hope this answers your question." First of all, an inventory system would not allow that to happen. Secondly, why not address the lateness of the response and have a little people skills in handling a disgruntled customer? They are lucky they have a big customer base. I guess they don't care about good customer service. read more

I ordered a pole on 8-22-20 waited a week and called them for the status, someone took my name phone number and purchase number and some will call me but no call. I emailed All Tackle a week later but no response. I emailed them again a week later . I finally got a response that it out of stock. They have cancelled my order and refunded my credit card. First off I normally don't order online but had a tournament coming but hey I maybe I should order from these guys never tried them before. Never will again either. Purchase two spreader bars two different manufacturers because the first manufacturer I wanted was not available. As soon as I receive the items they were nowhere near the quality of the other manufacturer I called to complain and see if I could make a return a young man answered the phone very polite. He asked me if he could have somebody call me back that knew more about spreader bars I said sure thank you. Thereafter I received a phone call from someone who said he was head of the department and that the only reason I didn't get the other spreader bars from the other company was because all the people on the west coast already ordered them in a very condescending tone at which point told me how he has cut $600,000 tuna and that I had no idea what I was talking about. This tackle store is great. There is another one in Ocean City, MD I have not been to, but the Annapolis store is top notch. The place is full of every kind of fishing gear you can imagine, including clothing as well as tackle and bait. Lots of general boat supplies as well. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If they don't have something in the store, it's likely on their extensive web site. They are also happy to shed the latest local insight shared by the local customers. I was in the store once when some British tourists stopped in. Before they left they were invited to fish on the owners boat that afternoon! read more

Not to mention once the rod was received it was the wrong one! Getting a replacement rod was a nightmare because they didn't even have the original in stock, yet it was still posted on their site! I ordered Taco outriggers in Mid July from AllTackle.com. Paid $150 for USPS priority shipping. Their website said approximately 4 days for shipping. About a week ago I received mounts for the outriggers, no outriggers or hardware. I called Alltackle, they said that they made a mistake and would fix it and call me back the next morning. I have called and called and called, they say only Luke can help you but he isn't in today or he isn't in unit 4pm. I have left messages for the owner to call me. I have not received a single call back from this company and we are coming up on a month since I placed the order. I would never, ever buy from this company again. I understand mistakes happen but this is the most ridiculous customer service I have ever experienced. I'm starting to fear this place is a fraud or something. BUYER BEWARE and STAY CLEAR. First off let me say that this is a sad story that becomes a happy one, so please read till the end before making a judgment about Alltackle.com. I ordered a fishing reel as a Christmas gift on 12/15/17, I was assured that the reel would be shipped and received by me by 12/22. Knowing that this was a tall order, as in; a limited amount of time to get the reel to my door, I made sure to call every day to check on the status of my order. The first few days, everything was in order. On Monday, when I made my daily call, I received the news that they did not have the reel in stock but would be getting it from their distributor and would be there in a day or two and then sent out for shipping - the reel would still be delivered by Friday. No worries. I call Tuesday, they did not get the reel yet and would be getting it tomorrow. I call Wednesday and am told to call Thursday morning and speak with Bob in shipping. I call Thursday and speak to Bob (a lovely man) and he informs me that they did receive the reel, however, it was damaged. I start crying immediately. He tells me that they have the same reel but in black (of course the recipient of this gift does not want it in black). Knowing that this was a Christmas gift, Bob went above and beyond and ordered the reel for me, from a 3rd party site so I would receive it as soon as possible (still late but sooner than all other options). He really tried his best to think of everything he could do for me and his sincere and caring attitude is something I have not come across a lot in customer service industry. Even though the gift will be here after Christmas, knowing that he is taking care of it is gives me a sigh of relief. Thank you Bob! I hope this review reaches you. You were amazing! read more
