I took road test 4 times before I met Jim, and this fifth time after having a lesson with Jim I passed. Jim is the person that knows everything about driving and road test; even in such a short period of time he taught me so much. He identified my weakness right away and he taught me tricks that helped so much. In terms of the "unprofessional" and "unorganized" that many people mentioned, I find it untrue. Jim picked me up before my road test on time, gave me a lesson, took me to test, and sent me home; everything went so well and on time. Compare to the big corporate that treats you like a number instead of a student, only wants to separate you and your money, doesn't care if you pass or not, Jim really cares about you. Jim is generally a good person; he's a decent, funny person who cracks so many jokes to make you laugh and relax you. It doesn't matter what's the world view or political view of one person; it's okay to hold different views because not everyone is born in the same era and grow up in the same environment. Jim is a nice person, terrific teacher and he has my respect. Overall, I definitely recommend Jim's Cornerstone.

My son's social and scholastic development really improved once he started going to school here. Thank you to the teachers for all of the communication about my son's day and how he's doing, for all the fun and creative activities they involve the kids in, for facilitating his learning and his friendships, and just for being positive, kind, patient, and caring people who gave me the peace of mind of knowing my son is in a safe and enriching environment every day. If I could leave no stars, I would! My 4-year-old son, who has a developmental delay due to being…read moreborn premature, had 3 weeks off from his regular school, so I reached out to this place to accommodate him during that time. I was very clear about his needs in every conversation I had with them. I called multiple times to provide all the necessary details, and everything seemed perfect for him to start. He began on a Monday--a completely new environment with new peers, he a behavioral complaint. On Tuesday, it was described as a good day. On Wednesday, they said everything was perfect. Then, on Thursday, I got a call from the owner, Margo, telling me they were not a good fit for my son because he required more assistance. I was shocked and devastated, especially since I had explained his needs in detail before enrolling him. I was caught completely off guard in the middle of my workday and had to leave work in tears. What made matters worse was how Margo handled the situation. In the middle of our conversation, she walked out because we disagreed. She claimed that when she went to talk to my son, he didn't acknowledge her, yet when we left, he was saying goodbye to everyone. It wasn't just that the daycare wasn't a good fit for my son; it was the way the situation was handled and the lack of communication and respect throughout the process. I thought it was a good environment, but the lack of communication and respect was incredibly disappointing.

Each lesson was explained by the book, then demonstrated, then simulated by the class on still bikes, then put into practice in motion. While training a class of 11 people, the instructors were able to give individual attention to how each student was handling the lesson, executing the exercise and able to handle the bike. Constructive criticism was usually served with a smile & friendly comment, and praise was always given. It was structured and professional, with constant reinforcement on safety and awareness of risk.
