HIs honesty and integrity stood out from ADT, which lied to me and wasted hours of my time telling me I could get a digital landline at no charge from my internet provider, which was not true. Central does not need a phone line of any kind and I can arm or disarm my system from a key fob. Easy! Of course we tripped the alarm accidentally the first few days and they called right away to make sure we were ok. Great service at a great price. Very happy with Central Security.

Eric set me up exactly how I needed and took the time to go over everything as this was my first security system after living in high rises for the past 18 years. Just as important, Eric made me feel comfortable to get in touch with any further questions in the future. From observing him work, he's the type of guy to get details right and ensure a proper install and service. The pricing is very competitive and I like how Central Security is upfront on the cost without the need for a long term contract (just a 90 day cancel which is reasonable). I like doing business with straightforward companies and people, recommended!

Andre (the fella…read morewho knocks on the door) came by and asked if we were wanting to purchase the system. from day one this guy was AWESOME. so easy to talk to, super laid back, and ALWAYS happy. not annoying happy either. anywho, we explained that with the move and being first time home buyers we weren't able to purchase something. at the time. he came by every few months to follow up. THANK GOD. the last time he came by we finally purchased. AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER! system installation was a breeze. I wish i could remember his name, think it was Darell? anywho he was awesome. he handled my crazy hyper dog very well. Anyways, he showed us step by step! went through the website, helped me download the app, made sure to look the other way when i was putting in codes. it was great. Today, My alarm went off while I was at work. My heart skipped a beat or two when i looked at my phone and had Email alerts, text messages, voicemail - from a real person. I had been alerted by my app and my mother in law (emergency contact) I called back to see what had happen. I forgot that I had my sister and her kids over. One of the kiddos open the door to let the dogs out and thats why the alarm went off. I was so happy to find out that I had a video captured! - SO HILARIOUS, my nephew (the one who open the door) went RUNNING when the alarm went off. I cried from laughter when watching the video (your able to save it by the way!) The company even came on the intercom and asked my sister if everything was ok. I seriously couldn't be happier.     I joined ADT a few months ago and I had to have a technician come out and replace my detector in…read morethe attic because it fell off. The next day I set my alarm to leave my house and it went off. I called last night we tested it they don't know what's wrong with it so I had a virtual call today from 1230 to 1. It is now 1:35 PM, I have not yet heard from the technician. I called to find out what is going on because I have to leave and I won't be back. This is not my fault! It is ADT's fault that My Alarm is not able to be set. They needed to call me at the regular time so now I have to freaking sit here and wait. I've never experience anything like this and I have so many bad reviews on this company and I'm believing every single one of them. This is their fault they should be on top of my appointment.

    AVOID! If there is one company that deserves to go out of business it is ADT. Seriously, avoid…read moresigning up with them no matter how often they call you, text you, email you or show up at your front door. Here is what they don't tell you even if you have a premium service: 1. "Dispatching police" means they only push a button to send the police. They do not follow up after that or confirm IF the police showed up. So when you are out of town, such as I was for 2 different break-ins, they will not tell you the break-in status of the house. Police may not even show up as they did in my case since I received no call from Austin Police when my door was left wide open by someone that entered the house thru a window. 2. The audible alarm goes off for only 4 minutes before going silent. Again, ADT will never follow up as to why the alarm has not been shut off. You are 100% responsible for understanding what happened even if you are out of town for several days and leave the alarm on until you or someone you know can go to the house to see what's going on. 3. ADT sensors and mobile app require constant updates and repairs. ADT will try to charge you for the repairs even when the equipment is faulty or improperly installed. 4. Your home/renters insurance covers the loss of personal items. ADT will not reimburse for lost items if your insurance pays for it. ADT Theft Protection Guarantee is just marketing and simply redundant. 5. ADT hold times are an hour for anything other than setting up a new service. 6. Contract terms are very broad and you cannot get out of the contract even if the equipment doesn't work and they have provided no security whatsoever. 7. And then there are all those class action lawsuits that are self-explanatory.

    It is unfortunate that I have to write this review for a security company…read more I inherited a un-monitored security system with my home purchase, which I have never used. This morning the keypad started to beep (very loudly). This was all of a sudden/while we were sleeping - so I am guessing some sort of malfunction. I called the service number but since it's Good Friday the service station was closed for the weekend. I called the monitoring station, and they informed me they have a on-call technician that can help. Here is where the trouble began - they refused to call the technician because I was not on their monthly paying plans. Just to be clear - they had a way to help me out but chose NOT to because I was not on their monthly plan. It was their system that was malfunctioning, but no - no help. They implied I should just endure the alarm all weekend - till their service station opens on Monday. If this was their response to a non-emergency situation where they had the means to help - I wonder what they will do in an actual emergency. My recommendation - pick someone else.
