Twan did a great job on my main water line, coming into the house. He was able to correct a previous bypass copper pipe route line. Our house used to have a water softener, that we never used. The main water line is back connected as it was designed. I requested the garden hose spicket, before the house regulator. Twan told me, he would try his best and he did. Awesome!!! A new 1/4 quarter shut off valve was installed, prior to the new water regulator. Another new 1/4 quarter shut off valve for the backyard, before the house line. I discovered my water heater was leaking and contacted my home warranty to get it repaired or replaced. They sent George James of All & All Plumbing out of Sacramento. Don't ever work with this guy. He barely assessed the issue but still took $85 cash from me, and I never saw him again. I then had to find someone myself and was referred to Twan of All Star Plumbing out of Fairfield. After my first experience, I realized I needed to do my research before giving any more money away. Lowe's, without assessing my unit, quoted $2800 to install an A.O. Smith 12 year 50gal, 40BTU unit. Bell Bros did a full inspection and quoted $4500 with a standard 1 year warranty to install their 6 year unit or $5500 to so the same but add 10 year labor and parts warranty. I called Adam's Plumbing out of Vacaville, but they never returned my call (never). I finally decided I'd go with All Star. I read nothing, and I mean nothing, but great reviews from countless customers over years of service. I told Twan my exact issue, and he quoted $2100. I wasn't crazy about spending that much, but some would be reimbursed through my home warranty, and I was leaking about a gallon of water every day, so I decided he was my guy. I could tell before he even finished that he was a pro at this work, and when he was done, I had a beautiful new unit installed. Twan is meticulous, knowledgeable, friendly, fast, clean, and professional. I've had all kinds of work done on my home, and there's always some kind of mess left for me to clean up. He picked everything. Even as he soldered, he was conscientious about not letting liquid metal drip or splatter on anything in my garage. When all was done, I had a beautifully installed new Rheem Professional replacing my old unit. Twan stands behind his work. I have a 6 year parts and labor warranty backing it, and, as far as I'm concerned, I got just as good a unit and service as I would have with Bell Bros for nearly $2500 less the cost. Horrible experience with Twan, the owner. Rude and inconsiderate. Couldn't tell you the quality of work due to not getting that far. Called today and left a voicemail detailing that it was kitchen sink related and that we'd need whomever comes to wear a mask due to health related matters within the home. He called back later today and he said he could come on Thursday. He asked what was going to be worked on and I explained what happened with the kitchen sink. After setting up the time I just confirmed that whomever comes would need to wear a mask. I didn't even get to finish my sentence as he cut me off with a snarky tone "yeah I'm not wearing a mask in 100 degrees" to which I politely laughed and said no worries there it's only the kitchen sink and garbage disposal area. He replied "I'm not wearing a mask the order was lifted maybe you need to find someone else." I didn't even get to finish my initial sentence. Not that I should have to explain person health concerns to a business that would enter my home anyways. He was defensive and completely unprofessional in how he handled it. Urgent to get our shower back in operation as we are a HOT yoga studio I called Oak. Long story short was adamantly quoted $1,800 and that a hole needed to be opened up in the wall.... Moved on, called Jovani, quoting $800-$1,600. Toan came out (during his time off), had the part (which he showed me was $67 on Amazon), replaced it and billed the landlord $180. Five companies advised me to replace the heater and or was told that the heater is way too old and there's no available parts. I received 3 quotes. Toan offered the most reasonable price.
