The cost is cheaper than Pods, and the fees are staggered, which helps out when you're on a budget. You pay half up front and half when the unit is transferred. The unit itself was very high quality, all metal. It was impeccably clean inside, which made me feel good about items like the matress sitting on the floor. I got the largest 8'x15' size, which is supposed to fit 3-4 rooms. I'm a single person, and I had a 2 bedroom house with no appliances. The unit was packed full. I'm not sure I just have more furniture than the average person, but I could have used the commercial unit in retrospect. I was very nervous about the transfer, because when the unit arrived I realized that it would be tilted to about a 45 degree angle when being loaded/unloaded from the truck. I had visions of everything I own being smashed to smitherenes. However, I followed Mobile Maxx's instructions, packed heavy items toward the back, secured things with bungees, and made sure the floor was completely filled -- and the unit arrived at my new house perfectly! Not a single scratch. Finally, I'd like to comment on the customer service. Every time I called the office, I spoke with the same person, which was nice. He was friendly and helpful. The company follows up to confirm the pickup and dropoff dates, so there is no worrying about whether they are going to show up. For both the drop off and the transfer, I also had the same driver. He was friendly, professional, and timely. I would definitely recommend Mobile Maxx to anyone who is moving and looking for an alternative to U-Haul. Why cram all of your moving into 1 day when you can use a mobile storage unit and load/unload it at your leisure? The 30 day date for MM was the same price as 2 days of renting U-Haul. It's a great way to remove some of the stress of moving.

PODS responded that they would "look it," but we've been dealing with emails and their poor…read morecustomer service for weeks, and they closed our case. We tried and tried to get someone to reach us and discuss it. Tried to get someone in management to look into it. But, they closed the case. They did not keep their end of the bargain. We waited 14 hours on the day they were supposed to deliver. "Customer service" kept telling us that we were next, we were next, they were just having some problems at the warehouse, etc. Finally, at 830 that Sat. night, customer service told us the warehouse had closed and the driver had gone home. And, they couldn't deliver the next day, Sunday, because they don't work on Sunday?! Because we are on a tight schedule, we couldn't accept a later delivery within the month we had, so they've decided to charge us another month's rent because they didn't deliver it on time in the first place. Our advice: Don't risk it. Move on. Look elsewhere. We've had great service and experiences with U-haul since this debacle.

Once, the truck that I reserved wasn't available, so they gave me the next available size up at the rate of the smaller one. Sometimes you have to wait a little bit in line when they're busy, but they've always been working as quickly as possible to help everyone.
