No one ever wants to have computer problems, but I highly recommend All Star Computers & Electronics in Hammond Louisiana. We were having trouble with my son's laptop and took it to the local electronics store where we purchased it. The technicians that would normally be able to help us fix it said that would have consult with ASUS and get back to us with how we could proceed because they were unable or just uneducated on what steps to take they told us in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS they didn't want to touch an ASUS because of its complexity. That's when I looked online and found George at All Star Computers and Electronics. He was easily able to diagnose the problem which was related to the ASUS motherboard, and had the repairs completed in 3 days. The second time I used them was when my other son ran into a major snag with his gaming PC that he and some friends had built. After he exhausted himself by reading everything from blogs to watching you tube for hours, he was able to narrow down the problem but could never fix it properly so finally after seeing him struggle for almost 2 weeks. I went and brought it to All Star Computers and they were a lifesaver. After bringing it to George, He was kind enough to go over where they were making the mistake and he was able to pinpoint where the graphics card was faulty. He told us NVIDIA was very good about replacing their products and recommended we contact them directly. Accurate diagnosing is everything. We followed all his advice and once the new card came in and we installed it there hasn't been a problem and its nine months later. All Star Computers & Electronics located in Hammond La. has demonstrated once again how skilled and knowledgeable they are "No Matter the Task" you are facing with your pc or laptop. Joe Bourgeois Over a year ago I brought my 11 year old desktop computer to George at All Star Computers & Electronics in Hammond. He said the hard drive needed to be replaced. What would typically be a straightforward everyday job for him, turned out to be a nightmare. The issue was one of having to do with proper identification information that had to match the new hard drive to the computer. How the problem originated (due to me) is too convoluted to explain other than to say it resulted in a misleading and confusing situation for George to figure out - to the point that anybody else would have given up on this repair job, but not George. I could tell he spent a fortune of his time with experts over the phone. He probably could have replaced the hard drives on a half a dozen other computer orders with all the time he invested in replacing mine. After all this he charged me his regular reasonable price. I can hardly exaggerate my high opinion of George at All Star Computers & Electronics in Hammond La. He is as honest, sincere and as hardworking as they come. My pc with the new solid state hard drive is better than when new and has been working flawlessly for well over a year now. read more

When I told him that it had worked properly for the past 5 years with no issue, he said that I was being combative. I paid him his fee.... For doing absolutely NOTHING, except insulting me and my intelligence. As it turns out, I fixed the issue myself. The problem was that even though the adobe acrobat reader icon was on my computer screen, it was just an inoperable shortcut. Somehow, it had been deleted from my computer. After redownloading adobe acrobat reader, it now prints files on the correct size docs. if Phillip did not know how to repair/fix the issue, he should NOT have accepted the job and wasted his time nor my time, but most importantly my money for doing nothing and being arrogant, obnoxious, and insulting! since you are the computer expert, why then did you not even offer to look at the computer??? Also, it was working properly up until approximately one month ago, not 5 years ago. You apparently didn't hear that either.
