When I was able to return on January 23, I was informed that the workmanship warranty had expired and that I would need to repurchase the service. This did not seem appropriate, considering the issue had not been resolved properly the first time. When I returned to pick up the PC, I specifically asked that it be powered on so I could verify that a fresh operating system had been installed, as discussed. Unfortunately, the computer does not have a completed operating system installation or system restore. As it stands, we are in a worse position than when we first brought it in. I was also told that Best Buy's service line is not connected to Geek Squad, and that because Best Buy refunded my purchase amount during the second visit, this automatically triggered a "stop work" decision. This was never clearly explained beforehand. At this point, I simply want resolution. If the store cannot ship the PC, I am requesting that a carrier be arranged to pick it up from the store. I currently have four open case numbers and have not received a single call or email with a proposed resolution. This situation has been exhausting and disappointing, especially given that this computer is for my elderly grandmother. I am simply asking for accountability and a clear path forward.

    I'd rather wait the 3-4 days it takes for a part to ship from Best Buy than go here and get…read moreliterally scammed out of my money. There is no way a $200 up charge is for a "lifetime warranty". And that's not to mention that these guys will call and harass you about buying their software even though you said no the first time. They only care about how commission they can make off you. Go to literally any other place than here. It's not worth your time or especially your money.

I have been in sales for over 20 years and I know you make your money off of margins, but these were insane, and that was after they offered a bundle price which supposedly brought the price down $300 then $500 when I said I will think about it. I was able to go online and to put together equal or slightly better builds for $600-$1000 less and MUCH better builds for $200 less - $200 more on Alienware, IBuyPower, Cyberpower, etc. I'm no computer wiz but i do use benchmark to compare to make sure each part was of equal or greater quality. The labor warranty is not enough to cover those costs, when the parts will run you double what they are in stores or almost triple what you can find online. If offered a price match for equal parts I would have no problem recommending them. I wouldn't even mind $100 more or so to stay local. If other people are too lazy to go research pricing then that is their fault, but price matching would be a big win for this place for those customers who do their due diligence.
