Buyers beware! Do not do business with All Star Auto, unless you want an unsafe vehicle that will not last three months with the company refusing to pay for necessary repairs (and I mean necessary, not comfort or luxury...I mean having a running vehicle)! I'd give less than one star if I could!! I purchased a van here just over two months ago and I've already had to put my own money into a new battery, it's been in the shop to fix a broken fan in the a/c (which All Star did pay for half of, but the a'c still doesn't always run properly), and now it's back in the shop needing a new radiator, which they refuse to help pay for. If I spend nearly $10000 on a vehicle, I expect it to be in safe, working order for more than 10 weeks! I specifically bought this mini van while I was seven months pregnant so that I would have a safe way to bring my baby home from the hospital. Here it is two months later, I'm due in less than a week, and my van is back in the shop and I'm out another $500! Hopefully baby doesn't decide to come today when I don't have a way to bring her home. Not to mention my three other children that travel back and forth to Lee's Summit several times a week. What if the van had overheated and died in the middle of I-435 with three children and a nine month pregnant mom!?!?! And I haven't bothered them about the little things that are wrong with the van (that they even specifically lied about), because I'm reasonable and understand that a 9 year old, used vehicle will have problems and I understand that the dealership isn't responsible for everything that goes wrong. (Broken seats, entertainment system that doesn't work, windshield washer hose/connector broken, etc.). However, I do expect the dealership to help out when it comes to an essential part that the vehicle cannot run without! I don't know how these people sleep at night knowing they put families in danger. I know there are good reviews on here, but please seriously re-consider. It's not worth it. I'm devastated and left wondering how I'm going to pay my bills. read more

Called Duffy after hours on a Monday night and set up an appointment for Tuesday morning. He is an extremely down to earth guy. Not prissy nor trashy, somewhere in the middle (in a good way) . We negotiated a deal on an 05 Grand Prix GT and I drove away happy . That same day, I was having trouble starting my new vehicle. 90% of the time, it started just fine, but the other 10%, it would start for about a second or two and then bog down and die on me. I took the car back to him the next day and told him my problem. He seemed very concerned about possibly selling me a lemon. He sent me down the street to a place called Able's Auto who does the work on All Star Auto's cars. Able himself told me to bring it on in and instantly diagnosed the problem (dirty injector) and fixed it right away! The car starts perfectly every time now and even seems to have better performance. All in all, Duffy will tell you he won't sell ya a bad car (as I'm sure all car dealers say) and he definitely kept his word. I feel like I got a GREAT deal and everyone in there I came in contact with there, seemed to be nice and professional. Overall happy with buying my car from this place! read more

Last week we purchased our teenage son's "first car" from All Star Auto, a 2006 Honda Accord. We couldn't be happier! After visiting their website, we went to their dealership to test drive three cars we'd seen online. We were surprised to learn that there were several MORE great cars in our price range, some of which were not yet listed online. We ended up with the Accord, since it was very mechanically sound, and in great shape. (We also love Hondas & have a long history of owning them.) Our salesperson, Sean, was very helpful & honest. I had an overall good experience with this place. I bought a 2013 Toyota corolla from them and thus far a great car. The only thing I disliked was the sales pitch to my dad about "peace of mind of putting me in a safe car". I was buying the car not my dad, so sell me the car. And also, duh we are going to pick a safe car, we just wanted to talk numbers. Besides that, good people, good car, easy to work with. Also little concerned, went in 3 days later and only one person recognized me. I even pulled but in there car with their name on front tag still.
