After doing research, I found many owners reporting similar issues, which makes this seem like more than normal wear and tear. I reached out to both the dealership and Kia hoping for some goodwill assistance due to the repeated failures. Instead of receiving meaningful help, I was told I needed to pay for diagnostics and was given an estimate of roughly $2,300 to replace both passenger-side window assemblies and motors. What made this experience even more disappointing was feeling like dealership management showed little interest in helping despite me purchasing the vehicle through them and being a long-term customer. I asked whether any assistance, goodwill repair options, or cost-sharing could be considered and was essentially told I would be responsible for the full amount. I was already unhappy with the price I paid when I originally purchased the vehicle and felt I paid a premium expecting quality and support. I stopped in for a routine transmission fluid change on my brand new transmission (50k miles), and…read morewas told there was a serious problem with metal in my transmission pan. They insisted on investigating it, and an hour later my entire transmission was in pieces. I was out of town, with my work trailer and had to drop it in their parking lot so I was now marooned there and being taken full advantage of. The owner told me that the metal ring (which I now know is the flexplate) was causing metal to go into my transmission. Turns out the flexplate doesnt have anything to do with the inside of my transmission. They charged me 5 thousand dollars to replace my brand new torque converter. They took out my good OEM gaskets and replaced them with cheap cork gaskets that are now leaking everywhere and they broke off my dipstick and left it inside the dipstick tube with no way to check my fluid level now. What a nightmare. I politely took it while the slimy skeezy owner basically bent me over for 5 thousand dollars. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! THESE GUYS ARE CRIMINALS!!!
