They came out and activated the system so they could start charging me with no cameras because they were all on back order. The technician was supposed to follow up when they received the cameras to install. Month's later I receive mail notification, email and phone calls saying my account is past due for hundreds of dollars when we had been paying the monthly bill? So I called the company and they said it was for the cameras ...that I never received? They weren't aware I hadn't received them and said that technician was no longer with the company but they would send another technician to see where they are to be installed. We got Covid and they said they would reschedule and never did. Also, I can not use the alarm system when I'm not home because my small dogs set off the alarm. So I asked to cancel my account and they said I have to pay $2000 to get out of contract and I asked to speak to a Manager and they said all the Supervisors are in a meeting but that they will send me a cancellation form and balance owed of $2000 to close account and the VP will reach out. I have emails from a company representative requesting to close my account multiple times and they never once mentioned a cancellation form or amount due. I DO NOT recommend this company and will continue to let others know not to do business with this company that has no Customer service or provided a service.

Justin and Chris are nice guys, but novice, unprofessional businessmen, who have a major deficiency in customer relationship skills. This is a business run by two police officers in their spare time. They point this out up front, because it always provides them with an excuse, as they refuse to be accountable for anything. They are not open to feedback/criticism. I scheduled two meetings with them and they were very late for both of them. The biggest problem was that they lost their credibility simply because they didn't do the things they said they would do. After the first meeting, they said I would get a quote via email later that evening; it didn't happen. After a series of emails, I asked them to summarize all the items discussed and present them in a detailed, itemized contract. They concurred, but didn't do it. When they explained how everything was going to work going forward, none of it happened that way.......not even close. They said it would take only one day to install cameras and equipment, however they only planned to work 4 hours on the day of installment. Quotes from other companies projected a two full day installment time. In addition to their poor response time, they have absolutely no concept about managing customer expectations or keeping the customer informed. After several frustrating weeks, we cancelled our agreement. It took 12 days and a few heated phone calls to finally get our money back. It was during these phone conversations that Justin revealed his immaturity, temper, and inability to handle criticism. Do yourself a favor and avoid a nightmare. Ranses deserves credit for understanding the problem and helping me solve it. He is the only reason I gave ADT 2 stars instead of one. Too bad I couldn't have had him help me in the first place, as that would have earned ADT 5 stars. Two days earlier I was referred to a woman who claimed her name was Karen but with her heavy accent, I think it wasn't. She started by telling me my phone number was invalid. I asked what phone she had for my account and she repeated mine. I explained that was my sole number and it's the number I was speaking to her on. That went over her head. I explained my issue: We'd lost power and when it came back on my system panel sounds were extremely and I wanted to lower the volume and or mute the chimes. Instead she explained to me that I needed electricity and an internet connection for my ADT to work. She failed to understand I had both and that wasn't the issue. I finally said I hope her supervisor was listening because she needed to be fired and perhaps find a job cleaning streets because she failed at customer service. I was so disgusted by the terrible customer service I wanted to cancel my account. As it is, ADT has replaced American based customer service with AI assistants and outsourced the human component to a call center overseas --- Yet has continued to increase the monthly cost for service. It seems ADT's business model is now: Charge more - offer less service and ignore customer needs.
