CDC guidelines require masks if you are not vaccinated. I expect Avid to follow the CDC guidelines or at least require their workers to have masks available if needed.

It may be hard to believe, but things got worse from there. I was promised an estimate for the work by the end of the Friday. Despite repeated calls, I didn't receive an estimate until Tuesday, days after one of their competitors gave us an estimate. I mentioned that we didn't need an emergency visit and he fit me in his schedule for the next morning, quoting $175 for the service call. After diagnosing an electrical short in the contactor, he left to pick up a replacement part, and finished the job that same day. At no point, before or during the repair, was I given a total cost estimate outside of the initial $175 or a chance to approve the total job amount prior to completion. It was shocking, then, that the final invoice came out to $800: a $175 diagnostic fee, two hours of labor at $175/hour, and a $275 charge for a part (contactor) that retails for $50 or less. In addition, I wasn't given an invoice upon completion of the job, but rather I had to ask for it twice afterward. If any part of this review gives you pause, I'd consider taking your business elsewhere.
