I recently closed a reverse mortgage with All Reverse Mortgage in 30 days after I had engaged with another sincere, honest but not fully knowledgeable person of this industry ... WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
I am business consultant to senior managements of tech companies and I have a practice that I conduct a due diligence before I ever decide if I am going to work with a company or a particular leader in a company. Even after the due diligence, many times I walk away from an engagement recognizing the commitment, thoroughness and/or ethicalness was not sufficient to accomplish the stated objectives.
I recently broke this rule when I started working with a reverse mortgage representative before I undertook my due diligence. As much as the person was ethical and honorable, I felt his depth of knowledge and experience was lacking for this industry.
In the midst of this process, I chose to complete the due diligence. Yes, for some of you, it may feel time consuming and exhaustive but if you do it right, you will avoid many headaches in the future; you get a better deal; and you just might discover a new trusted colleague / friend?
This is the case with All Reverse Mortgage and in particular, Rick Williams. There were many questions I had with the former reverse mortgage representative who could not answer my questions to my satisfaction. But with all my on-line readings, the articles authored by All Reverse Mortgage were the most substantive and thoughtful and answered many of my inquiries.
Rick, rick@allreverse.com who within the first few minutes of our conversation, supported my first impression of this company. These people know their stuff but also have an honest and direct approach that clearly communicates their unflinching support for clients. It is NOT about what they say as much as how they communicate ... and follow through. By the end of my first conversation with Rick, any confusion, concern or doubts I had, went away. I knew I had found a true partner in this process!
Now, just because one person in the company is very good at their job, does not mean it carries through the company? Even though I was very pleased with Rick, I was still watchful in how the whole process unfolds. Later in the process, I met Jay Moore who oversees the details of the process through to closing. He, like Richard, anticipated my concerns, was ever present with patience and thoroughness to address any new concerns. He would often reach out to keep me updated.
My experience does not happen by accident. Their 20 years of experience exclusively working with reverse mortgages and a culture committed to competency and customer satisfaction, led to this experience.
And lastly, while receiving the required counseling for a Reverse Mortgage, Maria of MEnomoto@housing.org, who herself was extremely thorough and supportive to this process, and is independent of All Reverse Mortgage, stated that we got a great deal compared to the many deals she had seen over the years!
I can't say enough about these guys. This is type of company I like doing business with because I know they always have my back. Unfortunately, it is a rare thing in the world we live. Yes, do your own due diligence but in the process, check out All Reverse Mortgage, and you decide.
