My husband purchased my engagement ring here. At first we went to Robbins Bros (The World's…read moreBiggest Engagement Ring Store) and while their ring prices may be reasonable, their diamond prices are insane! So, I showed the owner Helen a picture of a ring I really liked and she has people that were able to make a ring that was everything I wanted and more, with a spectacular diamond, all for about 1/2 the cost of Robbins Bros. So support a local business and save yourself some money. You won't be disappointed. She doesn't just work with diamonds either - all jewelry is game :)

The place I was looking at couldn't deliver in my timeline because I put it off too long. I walked in to Rons Jewelers on 980 Western Ave to discuss my idea of the custom ring I wanted before we left for our anniversary vacation. Ashley looked at the picture of the ring I had been looking at and said yeah we can do that. Then I said can you do it on my very short timeline? Again Ashley said yes we can do that! I went home right away to get my wife's other rings because I needed to get the right size. I got back in about half and hour and we sat down looked at the setting I wanted and they got everything started. Two days later they had stones for me to pick from with excellent expert advice from both on the choice of the stones for what I was looking for. Once that was done I had the ring in my hands a day and a half later. They literally put other work aside to help get the perfect custom anniversary ring made for me to present to my wife. I can't say enough about the professionalism and dedication to customer service. I'll definitely be taking more work to Marc and Ashley in the future and I suggest you do too if you want to purchase or get custom orders made.

My husband decided to surprise our newborn with a "custom" bracelet that contains an azabache stone…read moreand an evil eye bead. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be a part of the consulting process, which happened over the phone, but he was quoted $140 for what we assumed was going to be a bracelet with material and labor to justify the final cost. To our surprise, we were presented with a red string bracelet that looked awfully similar to bracelets we saw online for no more than $14, and one my newborn already has from a credible crystal shop. We asked what materials in the bracelet constituted the $140 price tag and their defense was to immediately discredit the other shop by saying the azabache stone could be fake. If that is the case and their so-called authentic stone is worth $20, does that mean the red string and evil eye bead is worth $120? Keep in mind this bracelet is for a newborn, so there's only 4-5" of material used. I understand Martha and co have a business to run, but they really took advantage of us even after we were trying to be reasonable and voice our concerns directly to them at the time of pick-up. Martha did not seem remorseful and avoided to present any solutions to us. Pictures posted--It honestly looks like they took an Amazon.com bracelet, unassembled the string to add a stone or two, and attempted to re-assemble by burning the ends in an uneven matter (which looks questionable and dangerous for a newborn to wear). It's complete shoddy work from a business that's been surviving this long. Perhaps they provide better results on other services, but they had the opportunity to gain the trust and business from our family and failed.

The reviews for them looked good so after a brief phone conversation with Steve, I decided to go forward with them to appraise the property. Steve showed up exactly on time and explained exactly what he would be doing in detail. Now, I don't have any experience getting an appraisal done, so this was all new to me but Steve went over everything in detail, taking pictures of all the rooms, measuring exact dimentions of the house, etc. Steve was very professional & courteous. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand easily which was really appreciated. I would highly recommend Steve at So-cal Quality Appraisals and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Steven took his time with both the home visit and with his research and was able to provide us with a solid appraisal. This was important to establish the value of the home in the case my father decided to sell his home as he now had a better baseline to reduce any capital gains tax. We recently used Steven again for an back dated appraisal to my father's death. Although Steven had a lot going on, he made the time to come out to do the appraisal while both myself and my sister were present. We received the second appraisal within a week and were very satisfied with the work he did. I highly recommend Steven for both his knowledge and service level. A+++++

Established by Michel Medawar then the 3rd generation was put into the hands of Robert Medawar. I ventured in on this occasion- the morning of 05/28/25 to replace a battery in a watch along with cleaning 2 rings. They were a bit busy when I went in- but always reminding me- they'll get to me ASAP. Quite a few patrons were either cleaning/purchasing items of jewelry. I was able to get my rings cleaned while waiting- I just had to leave my watch (since it needs to be opened/sealed accordingly)- which I was well aware of and didn't mind- gave me a chance to get lunch. By the way I received a call from Sheryl that my watch was ready- I was finished with lunch and on the way there since I figured it might be done- Robert said he'd get right on it. This fits accordingly to how they treat any/all customers- when integrity is earned life long relationships are made. And I won't get into Robert's countless accolades for his volunteerism in the local communities. So Yes- in my opinion this fine jewelry store- wholeheartedly deserves this "5 Star Rating". In closing- Please support all your local businesses!
