Unfortunately I would recommend against this pet shop. I purchased a Niger trigger against my better judgment. The water that the fish was in was VERY cold. I asked the sales person why the water was so cold and he said "I don't know ". The cashier commented that he should not have packed the fish on the freezer. The water in the tank was checked and was indeed cold. I was just too excited to leave it (especially since I had traveled about 45 mins to get there) so off we went. It died within 24 hours. I spoke to the manager about a week later (definitely my fault for not calling sooner) and he said there was nothing he could do for me since I wasn't a club member. He said he might try to work with me on my next purchase. I will pass. Fishy Frags in Oxford MA has a much wider selection AND a guarantee on all fish. Headed there tmrw to buy three more for my 100 gallon tank! The store itself was pretty clean. Prices were reasonable on fish and reptiles. Dogs were $3,000-4,000. read more

Unprofessional in North Windham. Tell you one price over the phone & when you get there deny they ever said first price. (Trevor) I was all set to buy English Bulldog for 6,500.00. I felt they were nice at first & accommodating to let me socialize with puppy. I was instantly in Love but at the same time I wasn't going to play games. I pray he finds the good home he deserves. Trevor just came over & out right said he never told me that. Price was 7,000-7,500. Depending on if you were a member. The puppy was already over 12 weeks. BEWARE, SALE OF PUPPY MILL PUPPIES! While employees are friendly at this location, they still sell PUPPY MILL PUPPIES. They said that their dogs come from breeders that raise them in a home environment, but do not have any proof. All the puppies are from the Midwest. I went in to get crickets not being there for years an I was treated by a great funny guy named teddy an he answered all my questions was very nice an well mannered. I went here versus Petco in order to support a local business. I popped in yesterday to buy some dog treats and crickets. Stood at the counter with my 18mo old in my arms.... Not single person came over to check me out. Numerous employees that seem to be wandering randomly did take notice... especially as my 18mo old ran out of patience. I was the only customer in the store. I left after 5 minutes leaving what I needed on the counter. Petco had me in and out of the store within 3 minutes! A win for corporate chains. read more

This is a great little pet store. Have been to the one in Branford as well and it seems that the smaller location allows more attention for each of the animals from staff and customers. Everyone here is so friendly and knowledgeable. I'm not really sure why there are negative reviews because every time I am in there they are always helpful to myself and other customers. read more

So terrible! Went and looked at fish, and at least two of the beta fish were dead, one of which was rotting. Plus the beta fish were kept in small, cup size containers, it was cruel. Also the birds were kept in insanely small cadges with other birds. It was sad. I also noticed the employees (both of them) leaning on the front counter doing nothing while customers were in the store, while they could have been paying more attention to their poor fish. read more

We adopted our Havanese puppy three weeks ago. She is healthy and spunky. The vet was so impressed with how healthy she is. Tyler in the North Windham store was so helpful, he made sure we had everything we needed for our new fur baby. I could call him anytime with questions or concerns. Extremely unprofessional staff, appalling treatment of all the reptiles there. One of their corn snakes was dead, and about a year ago when I went here one of their skinks was dead as well. The red tail boa that has been here for years now is kept in a pathetic excuse of a tank with zero hides whatsoever and looks miserable, I would've bought the poor thing if it wasn't so expensive because of the awful terrarium. The staff here have no idea what they are doing and are clearly inexperienced when dealing with animals, especially their reptiles. I just stopped in because I drive by all the time and got curious on how much their dogs cost. To start things off, I was ignored when I walked through the door, I know it's little but you think when there's two workers one would at least ask what you're looking for. I wander around seeing the dying critters in their cages. I actually couldn't look at them anymore so I walked away. Once I walked away I found two cages somehow 9 dogs were split between the two. Some were shaking and sitting in place while others were fighting for water which was kept in hamster water container. The treatment of their animals is down right disgusting and unfair. There are many words to describe this place. But the one I think I'll use in this review is sad. Recently I visited this place and was in shock of how they treat their animals, especially the birds which are kept in the poorest conditions. When I visited the store I was so upset by this one bird in particular a lonely cockatiel that was visibly ill, shaking in a cage with some type of fluid pouring out of its nose. I was so saddened and angered by the treatment of this bird, I ended up purchasing it, to get it the help it needed. When I asked the employee for the bird he was obviously very inexperienced. He grabbed one of those green fish nets, and started swatting at the bird on the perch and ended up pinning it on cage floor with the fish net. I honestly though he was going to break its wings, I know this was not normal as I've seen how Petco, and Petsmart grab their birds the correct way. Once the bird was in the towel he put it in a random shipping box found on the floor and wrapped it up with scotch tape. That's when I made a comment on how is the bird going to breathe when there's no air holes in the box. The man looked at me and said "oh right" and proceeded to take a pair of scissors to stab multiple holes in the box, with the bird still in it! Once Paid for The man did not even give me a receipt (sketchy) Long story short I brought the bird to the vet where it was treated for its illnesses and now lives a happy life. I wish I could have done the same for the other animals inside that run down store, but unfortunately that is not possible. Please please take this experience and use it in your judgment when deciding where to buy pets/supplies, there are way better business who actually care about their animals quality of life. read more

Was visiting Verizon next door so I decided to take my kids into check out All Pets Club. I almost immediately regretted that decision. The overwhelming buzzing of flies and the smell of dirty cages was the least bit welcoming as we made our way to the back to look at the birds first. Not only did the birds look unhealthy, living in a small closet like area, but there was a dead bird just left in the cage. We made our way to the small animals to find cages over crowded and dirty, the small animals also not looking very healthy. The rabbits and guinea pigs also looking to be in the same poor conditions. I do not know how to or where to start to report this. Whoever runs this place is clearly the least bit interested in the animals wellbeing, subduing them to inhuman condition. If I could give it less stars I would. read more

The employees here knew I was looking for a cattle dog and had notified me that they got one in (as I work in the same plaza). I immediately went over and fell in love with her! I decided to give her a home despite the fact that she was 2000$ (which I thought was outrageous for a dog, but hey love is love). Anyway, once I got her home i had realized she was having a difficult time breathing and hacking like something was lodged in her throat. I figured she had a cold and made sure we got her into the vet within a week to make sure she was ok (the policy states you have 20 days to get them to a vet). The vet scanned her microchip and asked if I had any clue that the dog was in intensive care for Parvo. I was infuriated that they neglected to give me this information at the time of purchase, however it got WORSE. After taking x-rays of the dog turns out she had FULL BLOWN PNEUMONIA and her poor lungs were filled with fluid. On top of that my poor puppy had also giardia which is stemmed from poor care/cleanliness (usually feces in their drinking water) in which these puppies are forced to live in. Not one bit of information was disclosed to me at the point of purchase which ultimately if I knew the dog was in this type of condition I wouldn't have purchased her..especially for the price I payed...(also keep in mind the dog didnt seem bad when I originally played with her in the pen..and my vet said it was likely she was on some sort of medication to give the appearance of a normal healthy puppy. I cant confirm this 100%, but it makes sense.) I went to the pet store after getting this information and they offered me to bring her back for a full refund, which why would I do..so they can charge another sucker for a sick dog, or even worse mistreat her some more. Absolutely not! I wanted some sort of compensation for false information when the puppy was being purchased and they refused. They told me they would pay for medication alone for the dog, but after I lost my cool and did some research of the puppy lemon law I told them that they would be 100% responsible for all vet fees until she was cleared a clean bill of health which they had to agree to as it is the law. The manager of all pets club told me when I was upset that I "seemed like such a nice lady" at the point of purchase and was confused about why I was so upset, and that "he didnt think to tell me of the dogs medical history" at the point of purchase because their vet said that she was "fine"..when clearly she WASNT! I will still be pursuing legal action, and making sure everyone knows the conditions in which these animals are being kept. This is a PUPPY MILL! They will try to deny it every which way they can, but after what I went through with my dog I will never, EVER spend another penny in this horribly manipulative business, I will also be sure to tell anyone and everyone to steer clear of All Pets Club, and going forward I will no longer tell my customers to browse their store until our services are complete and everyone will know how awful of a place this is for pets. read more

This place has always been gross. The new management keeps it a little bit cleaner than the last people who owned it. It's still nasty but it doesn't smell as bad anymore. Under new management they now offer "pet financing" - screwed up if you ask me. The fish and rodents are the healthiest, go figure the easy animals are in the best shape. Birds were poorly kept - one was visually sick. Some of the larger lizards were in cages way too small for them. They just should not do exotics at all. Customer service is bad also. I have waited in front of the counter more than once for a long time before anyone asked me if I needed help. One time I got a rodent and some clueless guy put it in an excessively huge box with one strip of scotch tape to close the cardboard flaps on the top. People who worked there just seemed to be loitering around the cash register doing nothing. Any store that sells puppies is super sketchy, so I'm not going to get into how that area of the store was - I'll leave one word for it - sad. I may sound mean but this place is really messed up. So are a lot of other pet stores in general. People - buy from local breeders who specialize in certain species, you are much better off! read more

Today I went into all pets club to get crickets, there was three workers on and one came up to the front desk, didn't even greet me and walked away. I stood at the front desk for 10 mins without them even coming up to me. My friend used to work here and from my knowledge someone always has to stay at the front desk and greet customers. I was so disappointed. The new employee's have no customer service at all. They look miserable. They walk with no motivation.
