I went with the classic Italian preparation, and I have to say it was well above standard. Other than meat, they source a rather remarkable amount of products given the relatively small size of the store. They have a couple of higher end pet foods, sheep products, some craft sodas, and really just a number of other odds and ends. Service is great, and you can tell they have a stream of regulars. I probably won't stop in every day, but I do hope to make it in every two weeks or so. This is easily the best food I've found within a stone's throw of UConn.

Initially I was told that if I brought the plant into the store, they could look at it with me. I explained that I live in Colorado Springs and simply asked if I could send photos instead. I was immediately told to contact the manufacturer. When I asked "Teri" again whether they could look at photos to help identify the sedge, I was told, "I can't provide product support for the entire country" and was again directed to Bonide. I wasn't asking this small business to provide nationwide product support--I was a potential customer trying to determine whether a product they sell online was appropriate before giving them my business. A simple "I'm sorry, we aren't able to identify plants from photos" would have been perfectly reasonable and professional. The dismissive tone convinced me to purchase elsewhere. As a small-business owner myself, customer service matters to me, and unfortunately this interaction lost them a customer.
