I appreciated that they explained in advance which products they would use and gave me a realistic timeline on how quickly we'd see results. Once I signed up, they were able to send someone within a few days. Their service technician Brad showed up right at the start of the 2 hour window and he was truly courteous and professional. He told us which products he was using and how they worked, and gave us a fact sheet as well as some pre-baited traps to use if we saw more ant activity inside the home. He also removed wasp nests and even filled a small hole in the crawlspace vent on the exterior of our house, which I feel was really going above and beyond. After the service was complete, I got an email with all of the details of what was applied and where, which I think is an excellent practice. It's only been a few weeks since the first treatment, but the number of ants inside our home went down pretty quickly and lately we haven't see any at all. I do understand we may see more as the ants move through their life cycle, but I'm really pleased with the results so far.

We chose them because of their humane way of dealing with wildlife, which was my main concern. The awesomely-super-cool Cory came out to check on our raccoon and found she was a mom with at least one baby. She had clearly been living under our house for a while, as there were multiple nests and tons of damage. Cory gave me all my options on how he can remove her and her family, while also educating me on the ways of mama raccoons. (I was amazed to learn they are very clean animals making multiple nests as needed to maintain a clean environment for themselves and their babies.) Obviously I wanted the most humane and safe way to get rid of mama and her babies. I shared all the info Cory gave me with my husband that evening and we decided how we'd proceed. However, we didn't need to have Cory remove her, because mama raccoon took it upon herself to leave our house that night, and took her baby with her. (Clearly having Cory and my heads poke down below the entry door shining a flashlight at her in the middle of the afternoon kinda spooked her - she got the hell out and took her kit with her as soon as night fell!) Once mama raccoon and family were gone, we had the awesomely-super-cool-amazing Cory come out to assess the damage - the DAMAGE was almost $3,000! Yikes! But not to fear, our awesomely cool homeowners insurance company took care of all but $450.00 - yay! On Friday, June 16th, 2017 - the day of the repairs: Oh my gaaawd! I can not say enough about these guys! 4 (maybe 5?) guys (including the awesomely cool Cory) showed up at 9:30am and went right to work. They protected every inch of my home where they needed access: entry, hallway, master bedroom, master bathroom, master closet - ALL protected against anything icky they needed to pull out of there. They were all nice, polite and considerate. They did a great job - A GREAT JOB! We now have a completely clean, repaired, non-stinky, lovely smelling crawlspace thanks to the awesomely-super-cool team of Cory, John, Tyler, Cameron. I was impressed that he provided his number to contact. I had remembered New Leaf from our relatives, but thought we were outside their service area. Desperate to find a trustworthy company and a solution fast, I called Jordan's number. I explained our situation and his compassionate, caring response convinced me that he was a godsend. I cannot say enough good things about New Leaf. Every experience we've had with them has been above and beyond expectation. When their crew came out to remove our 30-year-old manufactured home insulation, and found it was much, much thicker than they normally encounter and the job couldn't be completed that day, their crew went out of their way to finish the job for us on a day that was not their normal work day, just because they cared about our situation. Better Air Northwest sent out an estimator (Eric) for free. He was really nice, helpful, and figured out how to solve our issue for a reasonable price! We received the estimate per email a couple days later and unlike other companies, no pressure was put on us to approve the job right away - instead we were given as long as we needed to discuss and ponder. As soon as we approved the estimate, we were contacted so we could get on the schedule. Somehow Edgar and Juan asked and also answered all the questions at the very beginning and we were able to do other things while they did these 2 jobs like the true professionals they are. They started by taping everything in the room with the closet, and it kept everything so clean! (Although they did clean up after - and left the place tidier than it started haha - not even kidding they cleaned our doormat I forgot to clean prior to their arrival!) The attached pictures were provided by them and show the beautiful job they did! But I've seen other little touches that proof they are all about getting the job done right. I was impressed by the process from start to finish and the noticeable difference in air quality afterward. The scheduling process was easy and transparent. I called on a Tuesday, and they were able to fit me within two weeks. The office staff clearly explained the pricing structure (which was fixed based on the size of the house, with optional add-ons like dryer vent cleaning) and sent a confirmation text the day before. The technicians, Andreas & Cody, called me 50 minutes before arrival, right arrived pretty close to the promised time. I knew there was construction down the street so I figured they would be delayed due to stopped traffic. The two arrived in a well-marked truck and was immediately professional. They took time to explain the negative pressure vacuum system they use, which involved hooking up a large hose to the main duct trunk near the furnace. They wore boot covers inside the house, which I appreciated. The cleaning itself involved systematically sealing off all registers and then using powerful air whips into each vent to agitate and loosen all the debris. They showed me the incredible amount of dirt, dust, and junk they removed from the main trunk--it was genuinely shocking and visually compelling. When finished with the vents they took on the dryer. The lint cleaned out of the vent and the filter was surprising. I expect the drying cycles will be quicker with a clean system. The entire process took approximately 5 hours. Once finished, they sealed up the access holes they created cleanly. There were only two rooms where they forgot to move furniture back in place. The immediate difference was significant: the air in the house feels fresher and less "stuffy," and the HVAC system runs noticeably quieter. I am confident that the removal of years of dust and allergens will benefit our household, especially during allergy season. Better Air Northwest delivered exactly what they promised: professional service, clear communication, and excellent results.
