Very clean and friendly staff- can't take that away from them. But they are not very up front about…read morea couple things: 1) Pricing. They charge "per day." But really they mean "per date." My definition of a day is 24 hours. I dropped my two Great Danes off at 5 PM and picked up less than 24 hours later. I was charged $150. I asked if it was ever possible to be charged for a single day at all- they responded that only for "Doggie Day Care" is it possible for a dog to secure a one-day price. So, hypothetically speaking, if you dropped your dog off at 11:59 PM and picked up at 12:01 AM, they would call that "2 days." Called two other kennels before writing this review to make sure that wasn't industry standard. They said it was ridiculous. 2) I asked if they provided bedding, and they said they did. They knew I was boarding 2 Great Danes together in one kennel. They provided one raised bed for a medium sized dog. Would've been simple for me to provide my own had they just told me that. 3) They are open for two 2-hour windows per day, so plan carefully for pickup and drop off. I'm hoping that means "open-to-public" and they attend to the dogs more frequently then that, but I wouldn't put any bets down. Also, they told me a cash price over the phone that was not offered to me in person when I picked up. Not that I had the right amount on me anyway. I assumed, like a normal person would assume, that less than 24 hours fell in the "one day" pricing range. It's a shame. This kennel is near my house and I was looking forward to using them in the future. Nope.

Big promises and no delivery or follow through. I heard about was what a great deal I was getting and nothing happened. She had completely unrealistic expectations of me to pick up the dog, adding anywhere from $800-$1100 in flight cost and then expecting me to drive seven hours to the middle of Florida for a more reasonable flight. She also offered the service of her daughter for a cost, and then reneged on that option. I only got involved because she was a friend of my sister's sorry to say. I felt totally scammed. And when I expressed my feelings to the daughter. She said I was harassing her. Great customer service not. And then on top of that threaten to charge me extra for boarding and food. Totally unethical. I never had that experience working with a breeder usually they were more concerned about the home. their puppies were going to rather than speed of delivery. WHAT GOOD IS A DISCOUNT IF YOU DONT HAVE THE DOG!!!!! Talk is cheap cooperation goes a long way. And PS you contacted me. Look around I'm not the only negative review. I just hope that pup gets a nice home. And how completely horrible to speak of someone's dead relative, this certainly shows your lack of professionalism, ignorance, and dysfunction. Your daughter was the one that suggested and offered the service and then reneged. Would you like me to send you a screenshot and post of the text? When I made the decision to purchase the pup it was 8:45 PM on Saturday 6/14. I had not talked to my friend yet, but thought maybe she would be able to help me, unfortunately she had former plans. Besides that I live alone and had to find a pet sitter if I went anywhere on a minutes notice, and there were several other factors to consider to my not being able to jump immediately. That you never disclosed such urgency, was completely inappropriate and certainly changed our agreement. It was never mentioned in the contract that you sent me the next day. Last month, I inquired about the dog and decided no since I was dealing with an elderly Doberman with heart issues, that had some pretty hefty vet bill. So not to discuss but immediately threatened to increase expenses on the puppy purchase did not feel justifiable or amicable. Driving seven hours round-trip and several hours in the dark with a new puppy after 10 hours in the airport was not a reasonable choice for me. Also, I was willing to pay for the dog in FULL, before even picking her up. You can your justify your behavior anyway you want but a reasonable breeder would've worked out a solution that was doable for both parties. So basically you and stole my $50. Say what you want this is a Despicable act and almost as despicable as talking about someone's deceased sister on a posting regarding a business transaction. Absolutely horrific !!! Keep the $50 and put it towards some business coaching and maybe some therapy. You're a thief and not a nice person. Leave me alone or I'll report you.

I can't recommend Nancy at Know Your Dog Training highly enough…read more After doing extensive research to find the right trainer, I'm so glad I found Nancy. From the beginning it was clear that she has a deep understanding of dogs and brings a calm, confident, and professional approach to everything she does. My dog Kane completed a training program with her, and I was extremely impressed with the experience and the results. Nancy takes the time to truly understand each dog and provides the kind of structure, guidance, and consistency that helps dogs thrive. Since then, Nancy has also become my trusted go-to whenever I travel. Knowing Kane is in her care gives me tremendous peace of mind. He always comes home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. What really sets Nancy apart is the level of attention and personalization she provides. This isn't a typical boarding situation -- she genuinely gets to know the dogs she works with and creates a thoughtful, structured environment for them. Nancy is trustworthy, caring, extremely knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what she does. I'm very grateful I found her and would recommend Know Your Dog Training without hesitation to anyone looking for a skilled trainer or a safe, reliable place for their dog while they're away.

Nancy was referred to me by another trusted dog trainer I worked with in the city, and I'm so glad…read moreshe was. Having a city dog isn't easy -- our 4-year-old Wheaten Terrier (female) has tons of energy, a stubborn streak, and some anxiety and reactivity issues around other dogs. We were looking for help with leash training and overall confidence, and Nancy was the perfect fit. From the very first interaction, Nancy was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She clearly loves what she does and cares deeply about every dog she works with. I enrolled our pup in a month-long board-and-train program while I was getting married, and Nancy made the experience completely stress-free. She stayed in constant communication, sending regular updates, photos, and videos that showed the progress and the specific behaviors being worked on -- plus advice for us as owners to reinforce at home. When our dog came back, the difference was night and day. She's calmer, more responsive, and walks beautifully on a leash with far fewer distractions. Her reactivity around other dogs has improved dramatically, and she seems much more confident overall. Even after the program ended, Nancy went above and beyond -- she included additional follow-up lessons at no cost and still checks in to see how things are going. Her board-and-train setup is amazing too: the dogs aren't kept in kennels but get to enjoy the outdoors, sunshine, and plenty of attention and enrichment. I can't recommend Know Your Dog and Nancy enough for anyone looking for dog training, board-and-train programs, or boarding with a personal touch. Nancy truly changed our dog's behavior -- and our lives -- for the better.
