We've been using Comfort Ride Taxi for years in Rehoboth Beach, but sadly something has seriously…read moregone wrong this season. When you call their number - any of their 3 numbers now - you constantly get a busy signal. It is only after calling 5-6 times that a dispatcher may answer. This last Saturday, we called for a pickup from downtown Rehoboth at 950pm. We were told someone would be there in "10-15 minutes". After 35 minutes, and again multiple tries to get through, the dispatcher apologized and said "he should have been there by now - I will get ahold of him and call you back immediately". another 20 minutes with no callback, we started walking, and found a taxi from another company just driving around town looking for business. I called back (again multiple tries to get through), talked to the dispatcher and told her to cancel the pickup order, and then asked why she never called me back. "It's been crazy here!" was her explanation. When pushed, she still never apologized, but finally had to agree she had no excuse for at least calling as she had promised. Several calls to talk to the "manager" (William) have been un-returned. I would avoid Comfort Ride like the plague. They have been removed from my phone book, and all of my friends.
