I found out that the flights we were trying to get on had no seats for passengers. I sent him a text hoping that he got it and wouldn't waste his time driving over to pick us up for no reason. Unfortunately he didn't. He called me saying he was here. I apologized and he said no problem. Understand that most people would not have woken up to pick somone up that early let alone get there all for nothing. Now all plans have changed and we need to get to Lewes to catch the ferry to Cape May. I was hesitant to call Darryl figuring that he was pretty upset about this morning. But I called anyways. We recently booked a 2 month vacation in Europe which also included 6 weeks of river cruising. Long term parking was more costly than using the shuttle plus who wants to drive 2 hours home after going to the airport 3 hours prior to departure for an 8 hour flight. The drivers were prompt and pleasant. The vehicles were clean and comfortable small sedans. They are not Limos. We did not need one for this trip. We were traveling light. We had a total of 2 large suitcases, 2 carry on bags, and 2 personal bags which fit easily in the sedans. We were allowed 4 large suitcases with our tickets. I could be wrong, but I don't think that would have fit in these sedans. We spent a week in Europe and hours before we were to start our first river cruise we found out it was cancelled due to drought and low river levels. We were scheduled a return flight to the US departing in the am. We contacted Shuttle Runners as soon as we got our flight info. It was no problem for them to pick us up at the airport with relatively short notice. As an aside I did mention to the dispatcher that the car that took us to the airport originally had a tobacco odor to it. He reassured me that would not be an issue on our return trip and it wasn't. I am pleased with this service and am in the process of booking a new trip . I will be using Shuttle Runners again.

While in the cab, he sped through a red light and answered a call quoting some poor couple $20 per head to get to a nearby hotel. I understand supply and demand, but I also understand predatory companies taking advantage of our military families. I don't typically do this, but I felt it was necessary. On my last trip, the "collector" (the guy standing out at the curb saying "you want cab?" "you want cab?" directed me to one of his vehicles. As I was approaching the vehicle, I reconfirmed, asking him if it was the same fare as the cab. Yes, Yes was his answer. I get to the hotel and the driver charges me 60 dollars - while the normal cab (and other personal vehicle rides) is 35-40. I had to get to work, so hopefully I may hear from them on the outrageous fare.
