My family was traveling home from a long trip to Dover Air Force Base. We were all exhausted (as…read morewas everyone on the flight). With the limited options for transportation off the base, we went with the only company available. He quoted $10 per head for our family of four to get to a hotel just off base (10 minute drive), clearly taking advantage of our situation. While in the cab, he sped through a red light and answered a call quoting some poor couple $20 per head to get to a nearby hotel. I understand supply and demand, but I also understand predatory companies taking advantage of our military families. I don't typically do this, but I felt it was necessary. If you have to fly into Dover, try to make other arrangements. As it was, we felt stuck and taken advantage of.
