Let me start by stating that this service is probably one of the best taxi/limo services I have ever taken. I called them early in the morning on the day I needed to be picked up, (around 8 am), and they answered the phone with a positive attitude and were very proffessional. I had to go from one side of Dover AFB to the other, and they definitely do their part. The driver has the ability to come on base to pick you up, which is great. I have had other taxi services that I had to walk to the main gate so I could catch a ride. I was stoked to hear that they will drive to your location on base to pick you up. They also know Dover very well, so there isn't much of a worry trying to guide a driver through a base that a person on TDY doesn't know himself. And to top it all off, the driver himself was very polite, positive, and professional. He opened the door for me, placed my bags in the vehicle, and had pleasant conversation the entire time. There wasn't an awkward moment at all with this service, which is awesome seeing as how almost every other taxi service there is always that wierd feeling the whole ride. If I ever need to come to Dover AFB again, I will definitely be calling D-Trans to take me where I need to go! read more

My wife called around to coordinate for a shuttle service to pick us up late night around 1-2:00 am from Dover AFB with delivery to Andrews AFB. The shuttle service that provided best pricing and was totally responsive to our needs was D-Trans of Smyrna, Delaware. Darryl, the owner and driver, was more than willing to meet our needs, even with our uncertain arrival time. When we landed at Dover, he was there, in the rain, waiting patiently. We then talked to him about other on this flight that needed his service as well. He accommodated an additional three riders for the Andrews trip. We felt safe and secure in his van, that was in excellent condition, both mechanically and appearance/cleanliness. The trip took us about an hour and 45-minutes (again, it was raining), using GPS and traveling the back roads. We would like to thank D-Trans for the outstanding, dedicated and prompt service. Our trip was made easier by his attention to customer service and professionalism. We definitely recommend D-Trans as the shuttle of choice from and to Dover AFB and beyond. A 5-star rating is recommended and most appropriate. Hoorah!!! read more

We had an unexpected death in the family and had to fly from Ramstein Germany to Dover AFB. The plane had maintenance problems and arrived at nearly midnight. I explained the problems and how they had to make their connection in BWI to make it to the funeral. Mr. Torain was so gracious and accommodating it was overwhelming. The suburban was new and clean, he loaded all our bags and told my Mother how very sorry he was for her loss. Got us all the way there for over 100 dollars less than the other company and treated my family like gold. Could not recommend them any more strongly. Oh, and they have on base privileges so they can come and get you right from the space A terminal read more

Darryl picked us up at Dover AFB and transported us to a hotel near the Philadelphia airport. Despite some last minute changes to our arrival on a military aircraft, Darryl was on time and ready for us! He had water and snacks waiting for us as well as movies available to watch. Great conversation made the drive fly by. Such a great experience and greatly relieved the stress of travelling! Absolutely would recommend to anyone travelling in the area. Also, I had a problem with my receipt (most likely due to my error), and Darryl promptly was able to rectify the problem and resend it! Great customer service! read more

Daryl picked me up on the dot from my home in Dover to transport me to the Philly airport. He was very courteous, helped me with my luggage and helped me cross over an icy patch in front of my house. The van was impeccably clean and had a variety of snacks and bottled water available to customers. We chatted pleasantly for the entre ride and before I knew it, we had arrived at the airport. Now that I've had the pleasure of riding with D Trans Transportation Services I will surely schedule with them again the next time I need a ride to the airport. Highly recommend! read more

I had a really great experience with D Trans Transportation. They were warm and helpful from our first interactions over the phone. Once a pick up time was established, Darryl called about 18 hours prior to confirm the final details. Darryl arrived promptly at the agreed upon time in a clean and well equipped vehicle. The ride to the airport was drama-free and he dropped us off as close to our gate as possible. I enjoyed working with him and his staff and hope to use D Trans Transportation in the future. Thank you! read more

Excellent overall experience. Booking was breeze, location and time was immediately confirmed. Driver arrived promptly and was more than helpful with luggage. Complimentary snacks/water were available. The vehicle was extremely comfortable and clean. The driver was very professional and courteous from start to finish. Lastly, the fare to the airport from my residence was well priced compared to a taxi or other services. One cannot say enough good things about this company. Give them a call! read more
