While we were working on this, Kristie also helped us with some basic command refinements with all 3 of our dogs. One of our dogs needed a little confidence boost, and she taught us how to work with him to strengthen this. Kristie is clear in her instructions to the humans and is patient with answering questions and modeling how to give commands and corrections. For dog sitting, in our home, we've used Michelle several times now and she is great. Our 3 dogs love her and she clearly loves them too. We have 2 Great Danes and Beagle/Boston Terrier mix who are getting up there in age. Our male Great Dane has a number of health issues and Michelle handles it all so well. There's a laundry list of medications for the dogs and she does a great job keeping up with it all. She doesn't mind when I'm that helicopter dog mom and I check too often on my sick boy. Regardless of his illness, Michelle sends many pictures and text updates on how things are going with all the dogs. As a very protective momma, I trust Michelle completely with my furbabies and home. We love having Michelle take care of our babies... so much so that when we were planning the August trip we just completed, she wasn't available on our original dates, so we moved our trip to make sure she was available. Then we found Home Buddies, and Annie has never been back to the boarder since. The service provided by the Home Buddies staff is so caring and professional. They set up an initial meeting at our house to get to know Annie and us, to see what her normal daily routines and our expectations were, and to talk about what a normal visit could look like. They offer several options, and we chose once-a-day 30-minute visits where they would refresh Annie's food and water as well as play together or go for a walk. We gave them a house key and a code for our home's security system - which, honestly, takes a good bit of faith to do upon a first meeting. But I would do it again in a heartbeat, as our faith in Home Buddies has only gotten stronger. They have proven to be an excellent and reliable source of care for Annie on numerous occasions. Short trips, long trips, holiday weekends, vacation weeks - Terri and the staff at Home Buddies are there any time we need to leave our friend at home without us. She then also sent me pictures of my trio and raved about how sweet they are. Lady #2 came later on to feed my pups dinner and blew me away with again feeding, playing treating she organized the cats area and picked up my dogs waste from the day (exceptionally above and beyond), in addition to also sending pictures and boasting about my affectionate pups.
