Unless I can't breathe, I would rather suffer alone at home. I've been to Dr's offices where you spend twice as much time waiting than receiving care. I have known Dr Garbis for a very long time since our kids grew up playing football together. But I only started going to him maybe 3 years ago along with my son. Let me tell you, what a world of difference. No longer are there any reluctance. The staff is professional, courteous, friendly and actually pretty fun to be around from start to finish. And they are really efficient. Hardly any waiting at any of the times I've been there. I even had to change schedule but none was available for the time that I needed for months. So I requested they put me on a wait list for that time if it showed up. Sure enough, they contacted me within a month because someone cancelled. Again, in and out like clockwork. Upon arriving, I was told that they do not conduct exams and cleanings on the same day. I was not informed of this when I made the appointment. This has never been my experience and looks like they want to bill insurance for maximum payout. After the x-ray, the dentist Dr. Parsana came in, announced to me that I had some gum pockets and that I needed deep cleaning. I politely informed her that I had periodontal cleaning just last year and I am not interested in a deep clean at this time. She proceeded to criticize my oral hygiene routine without asking me what I actually did. I was brought to the front office staff who was rude to me when I said that I did not want a deep clean at this time but would prefer to have a routine cleaning and think about a deep clean down the road. The staff person informed me that they would not do a routine cleaning and I would have to book a deep clean for 2 appointments that would cost me over $1000 out of pocket. I told her that I was not interested and I would like a copy of my x-rays. She agreed to email me the x-rays and I left. I did not receive the x-rays. I called my insurance provider and made a formal complaint for the refusal to care and non-provision of x-rays. Patients have the right to decide what is in their best interest. It is not the dentist's prerogative to decide on behalf of the patient, and push them towards expensive procedures, even if they believe those to be in the patient's best interest.

When I called, they first told me I should call my insurance provider and get the codes for billing. When I called again, they put me on hold for 10 minutes and I hung up. I just paid them their money after they threatened to send bill collectors. I never got a call from them to schedule a dental cleaning or anything after my initial visit. The place is totally impersonal. It's like a factory and there is no concern for the patients. I paid to get them off my back and found a new dentist (Fresh Dental Group) that's excellent. I had a dentist when I live in Wheaton that was less than a mile away, and she was good, and it's a hassle finding a new dentist. I moved to Russett in 2020, and I kept going all the way back to Wheaton for my dentist through 2023. My girlfriend recommended her dentist Colesville Dentistry, and she was right! I first arrived here in May 2024, then November 2024, & most recently May 2025. Wow, this dentist is top notch, blows the Wheaton dentist I had out of the water. The staff is friendly, efficiently gets you in. Dr. Chai, other dentists, & technicians have been friendly doing a great job with the cleanings as well as advise on better dental habits. Also, this is a state of the art dental office. When you are lying on the dental chair, there is a TV screen above you with high definition nature scenes which is peaceful when the dentist isn't exactly the most pleasant experience even with Colesville Dentistry being the best case scenario goes as far as the dentist goes. They have great technology with computer modeling of my teeth & more, which the prior dentist I had fell short. Although it's still not super close to my home, still easier than going to Wheaton and worth the drive. Overall, I highly recommend Colesville Dentistry.

We talked at length about different processes, and he referred me to an oral surgeon, Dr Richard Nessif, for further evaluation. In the meantime, we began the process of impressions, measurements and models. This process took 6 months with many appointments to get everything just right. At each appointment, which was usually a minimum of 45 minutes, I felt like I was his only patient. He never left me sitting by myself, waiting for his return. And if he had to step out of the room, his assistant was there in case I needed anything. He took his time, never rushing, to make sure every aspect of the appliances were perfect. On the day of delivery it was obvious Dr Katkow is an expert in his field. The implants fit perfectly. His precise measurements have ensured a perfect fit and a very happy patient! Along with an outstanding experience I had with Dr. Katkow, his office staff should also be mentioned. They are friendly, welcoming, professional and helpful in making sure you get the appointments that fit your schedule. They are masters of scheduling since most appointment wait times are less than 3 minutes in the waiting room. If you need a complicated procedure, this is the doctor you want to visit. First let me say that everything up until the last few interactions was just great. I am going to write about my last interaction with Dobbin Dental Suite. I made an appointment for a routine cleaning. I made this appointment in October 2021 and they told me the first opening was in July 2022. I thought that was odd to wait that long but like I said I really liked the office and the dentist. So I waited. When I went to the appointment last week everything seemed normal. They even had me verify my insurance information that nothing had changed etc like always. So when I get in the chair for the cleaning at that point the hygienist tells me that my insurance is no longer accepted. And that my dentist, that I waited 9 months to get this appointment for, isn't there that day. I was like hold on a sec. I thought about it and I decided to respectfully walk out without doing the appointment. So after doing some research the office did take my insurance when I made the appointment. They told me that they stopped taking it and that the email that they sent me about my appointment reminder stated this but I went back and read it and I can't see anywhere that they mentioned that they no longer accepted Delta Dental. So I asked why didn't you mention this when I called in to verify the appointment, or when I came in and you verified my insurance. I didn't get an answer. I was just told that it said it in the email that they sent. But I looked at the email and no mention of not taking Delta Dental any longer and having to pay in full out of pocket. I'm sorry but I feel like I have to put this in writing so that other potential patients out there will see this.

I walk out and go to update my calendar for 9/14 appt and realize I will be out of town for a wedding. Walk back into the office and ask to reschedule and I am told they are booked until March 2027 and I now I have to call when I return from wedding to see if any one has canceled. So as existing patient I am no a stand by patient. I give you plenty of notice that I need to reschedule. May have to find another dental practice.

Earlier today I broke a tooth, called the practice at roughly 1:30 PM and they took me in at 2:45 PM and by 4 PM my tooth was fully repaired. After being in pain all weekend, I made an emergency dentist appointment that resulted in a referral to ARCS. The office offered to call for me and I was told I could come right then. For context, my dentist appointment was at 3:20pm and roughly by 3:40pm I was headed to ARCS. The office is clean and the front desk staff were helpful and professional. I overheard one team member speaking to another patient in Spanish so it's nice to know the environment is accessible and inclusive in this regard as well. I was called back after a short wait and X-rays were taken. Dr. Fakhari then arrived to perform some tests (these suck but are necessary to confirm a root canal is the right treatment) but before the test began he spent time speaking with me and had, quite possibly, the most pleasant, patient, and caring demeanor of any endodontist I've ever met (yes, unfortunately I have seen down this road more than once). When I was weeping during the numbing process, the aide whose name I believe was Alyssa, kindly comforted me, provided tissues, etc. Dr. Fakhari also took things very slow and checked in often. They were both very reassuring. I don't think it's possible to enjoy anything about a root canal so the fact that every other aspect of the experience is positive (including noise canceling headphones, a blanket, and Spotify) means so much. I'd very much love to never need to visit ARCS again but I'm nonetheless very grateful for their immediate availability, kindness, and professionalism across the board.

The first word that I think of is WOW! I had an appointment…read moreon Wednesday with my regular dentist, who told me I needed an emergency root canal. I called Advanced Root Canal Specialists, and they asked me how quickly I could get there--the dentist would wait. I was an hour away, and it was approximately 3:30 pm. I arrived around 4:40, which isn't too bad during rush hour. When I walked in, I felt like I was at a spa. The room was gorgeous, with a fireplace going for ambiance. (No heat was emitted, as it was 102° F outside). Two very kind and helpful ladies greeted me and offered me something to drink. I chose tea, since they had various types of calming tea. Afterall, I was getting a root canal, and no one likes going to the dentist. I waited about 10 minutes before I was taken back to a room. Tamara and Dr. Fakhari were amazing. I told them prior to beginning that I am not a fan of the Novocain needle. Tamara put dark sunglasses on me, due to the bright lights; gave me a weighted blanket; and offered me headphones to listen to music. All the while, Dr. Fakhari was giving me a needle that I felt, but in a gentle way. He spoke and joked with me while the Novocain took effect. Then, he gave me a second needle to numb the rest of my mouth. I realized it and said, "I see what you did there." He chuckled, "I didn't do anything," and then, smirked. It was the best experience I have had with the painful part of any dental procedure. Dr. Fakhari told me up front that I have a crack in my tooth, and he may not be able to save it. While it was not news I wanted to hear, I appreciated the transparency and honesty. After what seemed like a few minutes, Tamara took the headphones off of my ears. (I was on the fourth song of the playlist). I was waiting for the news that Dr. Fakhari couldn't save my tooth. Instead, he said, "All done. Not so bad." I couldn't believe it was over. He gave me care instructions, and I left--at 5:45 pm. Wow! I hope I don't need a root canal again in the future, but if I do, I will definitely be calling Dr. Fakhari.
