Dr. Bryant is a great dentist. When I first walked in, it was not your ordinary dentist office. The appearance looked a little outdated and the "exam rooms" where in cubicles but everything was CLEAN (which is a huge plus for me). I have read other reviews which stated that Dr. Bryant was good AND he accepts Tricare/United Concordia. The staff is friendly, personable and Dr. Bryant CARES ABOUT YOUR TEETH. I am in my late 20s and a stickler when it comes to my teeth. I received a cleaning, X-ray and recommendations for my next steps. My cleaning did not hurt and my well-being was constantly assured. Walked into my FAVORITE Dentist's office today .......missing a front tooth! An hour later, I walked out with an AMAZINGLY natural and comfortable temporary tooth! I defy anyone to detect which one isn't my own tooth! The bill was surprisingly reasonable and the staff, along with Dr Bryant, make you feel literally at home and a part of their family. I simply can't say enough wonderful things about this man. As a former Dental WEENIE, he has removed all my anxiety and is the only dentist to hasn't caused me pain or terror. Yesterday was my first visit here (and I'm embarrassed to say my first to any dentist in some years). I was very nervous. I could not have been happier with my experience...well as happy as you can be with a dental visit...lol Dr. Bryant and his staff were very down to earth, professional and competent. I felt no "upsale" pressure whatsoever. I just got an excellent, thorough exam, cleaning, many X-rays and was given the facts. We now have a "game plan" and I will be coming back with confidence in him, his abilities, and analysis. I came here for a routine cleaning and was pretty happy with my visit. Dr. Bryant likes to talk while he's working on you to keep you distracted, and I'd say he's a funny and pleasant person. I was a bit bothered by how disorganized the office looked, though--I'm not used to seeing reams of paper sitting out in the corner of my exam room. It was my first time visiting this office. The location is a plus for me because I live nearby. In addition, I appreciated that Dr. Bryant was completely and genuinely concerned about my teeth and not more concerned about money. In addition, I liked that there weren't additional assistants assisting him. Most importantly, I liked that Dr. Bryant did not wipe blood or anything on the paper towel around me. I also liked that I was provided a Goodie Bag without asking. Not only does Dr. Bryant make sure that you are comfortable and informed about everything, but the assistants ensure that you are comfortable as well. Never, have I ever, waited over an hour to see a dentist for a routine dental exam! The Receptionist was very polite, but the one thing this office needs to work on is common courtesy, and respect for other people's time. It's very simple... Example: Please excuse the wait. The doctor will be with you within xx amount of time. But over an HOUR waiting with NO acknowledgement or update of his status and other people waiting as well is of total disregard for the patient which reflects poorly on the practice. This was a very unprofessional experience and horrible first impression of the physician! This is the "first time I've EVER reviewed ANYONE"..... so it had to be the bad an experience! read more

I've been looking for a good dentist in Laurel and have had my share of terrible experiences. Dr. Bryant was a pleasant surprise from past experiences. His secretary had great phone etiquette and was pleasant during my visit. His hygienist was very nice and professional. Dr. Bryant has over 17 years of experience serving the Laurel community, and his service was very personable and thorough. Dr Bryant is nice, sure, but that doesn't make up for his lack of skill or his attempt to steal money from us. To be fair, we haven't been to his office in years because we left when we discovered these issues. I had crown work done that 6-months later had to be removed so that an abscess could be drained and a root canal completed; he should have done the root canal to begin with. It took multiple visits to get the crown fitted and shaved down to natural. Even though my insurance was paying for my services, the office was constantly sending bills. They said payment was due, so I paid it. Come to find out, they were billing me for the portion that the insurance didn't cover and that I was *not* responsible for (per my insurance company). When I totaled it up, it was over $500. I asked for a refund and heard a lot of promises about how they would mail me a check tomorrow (because he left his check book at home). Took over three months and threats of bringing this to someone's attention to see if it was insurance fraud to finally get a refund. Hopefully things have improved since we went there, but be careful. read more

Alicia was probably the best hygienist I've ever seen. Wonderful person and careful to keep me comfortable despite past injuries making that a little complicated. My hubby and I made a joint appointment for 11:15 and didn't leave until 2:30. All of the staff apologized and assured us this is abnormal. I will come back but keep an eye on timing issues. I don't think this type of wait is sustainable. Alicia cleaned both my husband's and my teeth and counseled us on how best to maintain our teeth, and things we might change about our routine. One thing that slowed our appointment down was that hubby and I were both very overdue for a cleaning so we probably had some buildup to get through. Dr Bryant was friendly and professional, and apologized for the wait as well. His exam was thorough and competent and he worked closely with Alicia, trusting her input. She helped him catch one more cavity on the x-rays. They use digital x rays here which give the least radiation possible. I got the optional flouride varnish. It's my first time trying that add -on (not typically covered by insurance) and honestly I'm disappointed. It's chunky looking and feeling on my teeth. I think I'll stick to over the counter flouride rinse. Long story short, didn't love the wait but the staff were great! read more

Going to the dentist can be so stressful, but my first visit here was perfect from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. The receptionist was friendly, professional, and seemed very organized. The dental technician was very knowledgable, very friendly, and instantly put me at ease. She spent so much time with me, seemed genuinely interested in me, and really put me at ease. It was like talking to a good friend. The doctor was very professional but loose, had a good sense of humor, and a good laugh. He did a very thorough exam and gave great recommendations. I know I've only been to see them once, but my gut tells me that they are all extremely trustworthy and are looking out for my best interests medically and financially. It is not the fanciest of offices and is in a strip mall, but don't let that fool you. I will certainly be going back and will recommend to everyone I know. Thank you for the good dental experience! Besides that Dr Bryant know what he is doing, he has the most courteous and respectful staff I have ever seen, before I went to him for the first time, I use to see another dentist in Laurel and with my insurance, I was told my bill would be close to $2000 after insurance pay their portion, I immediately told them to transfer my file to Dr Bryant, and to date with Dr Bryant, I have seen him for about 5 or 6 times, my payment so far is under $300, that is included with my wife visit. Couple of weeks ago, my wife came from her appointment and I saw a very nice used Stroller/Car Set combo, she said Dr Bryant brought it from home to use for our 7 months baby, I found this a good relationship btw dr and patience, the fact that he remember to bring the car seat to the office and gave to my wife mean so much. if you are new in the area or just want to change dentist, please dont hesitate to start with him, he a just a NICE DENTIST. read more

I've been going to Dr. Bryant for several years without incident. Approx. six months ago the crown on my tooth fell out, and I went to Dr. Bryant to put it back in. Dr. Bryant first verify that it was a tooth that he had fixed about a year or so before, and placed the crown back on the tooth/post (part of the original tooth left to adhere to the crown). Approx. a month or so later the crown fell out again, so I went back to Dr. Bryant and he again placed the crown back on the tooth. This pattern happened two more times, and I was told by the doctor the post was not adequate for the crown to hold on to which is why the crown keeps falling off. The doctor then had me schedule an appointment to build up the tooth giving the crown enough surface to adhere to. This also meant a new crown would have to cast, and ordered since the crown is molded to the shape of the tooth/post. The work was done and the crown was ordered without any mention of billing or payment from the doctor. After about two weeks I received a call from the receptionist to let me know the new crown was in, and that I was being billed $1,300.00. Since there had been no mention of billing or cost to me up to this point I was under the impression there would be no cost to me since the whole issue stemmed from the inadequate post that Dr. Bryant originally created. I have tried to contact the doctor on several occasions over a three week period to discuss the issue, but have only been able to talk to his receptionist who informs me that the doctor is very busy and that she will remind him again to give me a call. I can understand being busy during the week, but don't understand why the doctor could not give me a call on the weekend after business hours. I paid for the original work, and for the crown that has now been discarded since it no longer fits my tooth. I should not have to pay for his misjudgement of how much tooth to leave to adequately adhere to the crown. I have filled complaints with both the Better Business Bureau, and the MD State Board of Dental Examiners to resolve this matter. Update: Issue resolved amicably with no cost to me. read more

It is almost awful to say that I am glad that I had such a poor experience at my last dentist because I never would have found Dr. Bryant otherwise! He and his staff are so wonderful and the atmosphere of the office is so much like family that you look forward to your next visit. I confess I almost wish I could keep them all to myself.
