My visits included: an initial dental assessment, a few root canals, a crown lengthening, a tooth extraction--in preparation for a pending implant--and other stuff that I don't know the names for :-). The doctors, assistants and staff were friendly, focused, responsive, and more than competent. During this time there was at most maybe an incidental wrinkle or two (that amounted more to style than substance) and overall I was quite satisfied and thankful for the work that was done.

As a business owner, I plan my schedule carefully and take time off work for these appointments -- time that I can't get back. On both occasions, the front desk staff claimed they had called and left a message to reschedule, yet I have no record of any missed call or voicemail. I'd be surprised if they could produce proof of one either. What makes this even more frustrating is that they send automatic text reminders a week in advance, which I have confirmed each time, only to show up and find my appointment gone. Their dental services are good, but due to the unprofessional handling of scheduling and communication, I will not be returning. This kind of disorganization and disregard for patients' time is unacceptable.

I was informed to update an online patient form, prior to my scheduled dental appointment. While attempting to complete the online patient form, I had difficulty submitting the form. I had to phone the main office requesting assistance regarding the online patient form. The office staff had to reset the online patient form, and I submitted the online form. At my first scheduled dental appointment I was asked to provide my identification, dental insurance card, and my co-payment. A series of dental x-rays were taken of my teeth. Afterwards, I was examined by Dr. Jonathan Dukes. it was determined, that I needed to see a periodontist. After my dental examination, I was escorted to employee: Ms. Mary to schedule an appointment with a Periodontist. Ms. Mary scheduled my dental appointment, and to my surprise was required to provide a fifty dollar (50.00) refundable deposit. I was told this refundable deposit was utilized as a deterrent to patient no-shows. I was also provided the co-pays for my future scheduled dental appointments with the Periodontist. I was assigned Periodontist: Dr. Jeffrey Brain. Dr. Jeffrey Brain proved to be a through Periodontist.

The office was not clean, and several pieces of equipment, including the overhead light used to examine my mouth, were covered in dust. The staff was unprofessional, although the dentist seemed knowledgeable when I asked to see my X-rays. Since I was visiting for the holidays and had come in only for a cleaning, I was surprised by how difficult they made it to get my X-rays. I also asked about receiving a toothbrush and floss, as I've typically received these after a six-month cleaning at other dental offices. They told me they only provide them to children, and they said it in a condescending tone. The staff seemed irritated and unwilling to answer questions, choosing instead to tell me only what they thought I needed to know. I was also moved from room to room several times. Overall, the experience was very disappointing unprofessional and when I went back to ask about my when I got in my car and I realized I don't have my little dental bag that has my toothbrush and floss they were talking about me. I heard them talking about me. The dental office is very old school equipment is dated. The building is dated. The office is dated the front. I remember the same day that that's how taking it back I was with just the entire experience. You could just find a much better dentist in Laurel.

At every point, they went the extra mile to ensure that I'm comfortable, addressed my concerns, and answered all of my questions. They went above and beyond in making me feel truly valued. The seasoned team at Colesville Dentistry took the time to examine the photos and made reasonable recommendations based on their review. They explained the purpose of each recommendation. No gimmicks. No sales pitch. Everything was reasonably priced. After my 1st visit, I just knew I made the right decision in switching to Colesville Dentistry. I especially enjoyed having a TV screen above the dental chair with beautiful scenes of Tropical islands to look at while they were working. I look forward to coming back for my regular checkup and will definitely recommend them to all my friends and family. Thank you Colesville Dentistry

When I lived in Wheaton, which was a lot closer to downtown Silver Spring, I still always wrote/typed Wheaton, MD 20902. I had a dentist when I live in Wheaton that was less than a mile away, and she was good, and it's a hassle finding a new dentist. I moved to Russett in 2020, and I kept going all the way back to Wheaton for my dentist through 2023. My girlfriend recommended her dentist Colesville Dentistry, and she was right! I first arrived here in May 2024, then November 2024, & most recently May 2025. Wow, this dentist is top notch, blows the Wheaton dentist I had out of the water. The staff is friendly, efficiently gets you in. Dr. Chai, other dentists, & technicians have been friendly doing a great job with the cleanings as well as advise on better dental habits. Also, this is a state of the art dental office. When you are lying on the dental chair, there is a TV screen above you with high definition nature scenes which is peaceful when the dentist isn't exactly the most pleasant experience even with Colesville Dentistry being the best case scenario goes as far as the dentist goes. They have great technology with computer modeling of my teeth & more, which the prior dentist I had fell short. Although it's still not super close to my home, still easier than going to Wheaton and worth the drive. Overall, I highly recommend Colesville Dentistry.

Approximately five years ago, my dentist retired and sold her practice to Drs. Bryce Miller and…read moreMatt Chen. The practice was subsequently rebranded as Burtonsville Dental Suite or BDS. As with many changes, this one brought both anxiety and apprehension. I was uncertain if I would like the new dentists or how they approached dentistry. I was further stressed by what I would be forced to do if it turned out this change was not one that I could withstand. My stress levels were soon found to be unjustified. While I have had several visits with Dr. Chen, most of my time the past five years has been spent under the care of Dr. Miller. Therefore, this review will focus primarily on him. However, it should be noted that my comments pertain equally to everyone in this practice. After several routine visits for cleanings, it became necessary for me to have a crown which involves needles to numb the area. I have had a lifelong dislike of needles of any kind and for any reason. When I arrived for my procedure a bit early, I crossed paths with Dr. Miller and when he asked how I was, I told him I was stressed about the need for him to numb my mouth using needles. When he heard that, he stopped mid stride and told me that he did not want me to stress while waiting. He led me to the chair and told me he was exceptional with needles and had even numbed himself. I was skeptical. He gave me the first needle as quickly as possible and I very quickly learned that he was not exaggerating. I have never had an experience that was so pain free. This experience, as well as those that have followed have eliminated my fear of needles and injections. Over the years, I have come to trust, respect and admire Dr. Miller's dedication to his craft, as well as his compassion towards his patients. He takes the time to explain what he is doing and why. He listens to my concerns and he answers my questions. He speaks to me versus at me. During a procedure, he will not only tell me where he is in the process but will stop and ask me if I am okay or if I need a break. Dr. Miller is young. Very young! He is younger than my children. He is also up to date on the latest techniques and technology. The practice puts patient care ahead of profit. The office is state of the art. The visits are never rushed. The entire staff is professional, respectful and courteous. Whenever I have had any procedure performed, other than routine cleanings, Dr. Miller or a member of his team has called me to check on my recovery and ask if I need anything. When my wife had some extensive work done recently and had a problem, I called the office after hours and left a message detailing the issue. Within minutes, Dr. Miller called to obtain more details and ask if she needed to be seen immediately or could she wait until the next morning. Dr. Miller is incredibly passionate about his work and compassionate about his patients. He has taken dentistry and raised it to an art form. This change has had a very happy outcome. Thank you!!
