This young man was referred to me by a tree removal service and I'll break down events as clearly…read moreas possible. BTW I never bother with posting bad reviews I don't care to, but this was really a bit much. He came by to mow and talk about some lawn and construction debris clearing after I texted him on May 12. When he did the very first mow, he asked me to pay him for a month up front and I said I don't do that, for reasons that needn't be explained. My lawn is not seeded and really grown in yet and I'm still remodeling outside so regular lawn care isn't necessary yet, but also I don't believe in paying up front it leads to problems. At that time, he accepted that and I paid him for a mow and for removing some debris $10 over what he asked in fact to communicate fairness and generosity and it seemed reliable and fine. We talked about weed clearing and he said he could come back and do that another day the following week, and we agreed via text that it would be the next Tuesday May 17. Around noon on the 17th I hadn't heard from him and called to ask for his ETA. He said to me very defiantly, "I don't have today's schedule yet I don't know when I"m gonna be anywhere". I said I can't work with people like that and to forget all of it and just call me if he can get it together and make a schedule, he just made a displeased teeth sucking sound before I hung up. A week later, on 8:30 on May 24, suddenly I hear the lawn being mowed out front. I thought it was someone else I had scheduled for the 25th and I had gotten the day wrong. I opened the door and it was him with another person. It felt odd, but I let it happen and came out to talk to him standing there in my bath robe. I pointed out the weeds, which was what he was supposed to come back and do, we never talked about another mow, and didn't do, and he made some mention of burning them. What I gleaned from that remark is that he didn't really know about weed removal, and also wasn't into the bull work of pulling them. Then I said Ok I guess I'll pay you for the mow, and he then said someone would call me and take the payment and that she would set up a payment plan where I pay in full for a month. The temerity and hubris to say this again and after all that transpired is incredible. When I said I wouldn't do that, repeating my reasons, he swiftly became petulant, and said well then I can't work for you any more. Meanwhile, I had another person any way at this point so it was nothing to me. I go into the house and let him finish. He knocks on my door and then says I need a check now. I said, ok fine, so I'm not calling this in. This is when he begins becoming more spiteful. I ask the amount he' says condescendingly "You don't remember?" Such a nasty response to a reasonable question before you write a check. He then says I had been texting him all week and to leave him alone and this is when I really started to get angry. I said can you show me those texts that you claim I sent you because that's a lie. He just scoffed and looked down and started giving me the give me my money trip. I then said you've been smoking a lot of pot, and you're forgetting who you're talking to and what day it is aren't you? He said just give me my money. I then reached my hand to the side of his sunglasses and said take these off and look me in the eye, you're high aren't you. Then he resorted to the cry bully wolf howl, screaming don't touch me you're crazy, meanwhile I hadn't touched him and he knew that. Like he knew that he was high and gets high every day. And he knew I hadn't texted him. He kept harping on about assaulting him. Tough to file an assault charge when no one actually makes contact with your body, attempts physical violence or threatens you. More distortions and rantings from a disordered mind. Here's a video I filmed to document that I had paid him as I was writing it to cash https://youtu.be/UQLX8JX2ftM This person says this is his first adult business in his company description. It may be his first business, but he is not an adult, he's a teenage stoner with a business license, (his self evident marijuana use wasn't denied), who may be trying to run an adult business. but no it takes more than registrations, and smacking down $55 for a business license. It takes dealing with people, establishing trust and not snubbing your nose at schedules, obligations and commitments. Talking back to people who don't conform to convenient realities according to you, accusing them of text harassment w/0 evidence, not caring what you tell them and don't tell them, it's behavioral incontinence, that's not handling business transactions. He clearly didn't have the presence in his upbringing to be guided on how to conduct himself and deal with contentions at all and handle it like a grown man rendering a service instead of a fragile, weak inebriated waster. To think he put both of us through that this morning for $35 is sickening.
