The clog was quickly found to be an issue of hardware that "toileting" items were catching on and the sewage was backing up into my unit/condo. He got the camera out, and videoed the entire situation as proof of damage to the underneath of my condo, the clog in the line and it was immediately sent to my HOA, who, before this plumber left the restoration team was on the phone and the "nightmare" of restoration began. Mike was very pleasant knowing what I was about to deal with and had nothing but great information, and fantastic customer service with getting me at least to the point of having no further issues of flooding under my home. He billed the HOA and that was the part I felt bad for as they never got back to him or contacted him after he tried numerous times. I finally emailed the board members directly to get him paid almost 3 months after the job was completed. He was never rude, never put the bill into collections, or made it hard for me to get him paid by the HOA. MIke is an exceptionally easy to work with guy, great customer rapport, and I recommend his services to anyone who needs someone easy going to help them out.

In 2025, I did not hesitate in calling them to investigate why my grinder pump for basement sewage and wastewater would not turn off. Within a few hours of my call, an experienced and knowledgeable plumber arrived. He investigated, and found that the grinder pump switch had failed. The unit was probably 20 to 30 years old - well before I purchased the property, and while the pumping was okay, the switch failure would not turn off the pump. He provided pricing for three different options. Other Yelp reviewers complain that the cost for their services was unexpectedly high. Yet, when I checked the average cost of a professional replacement of a grinder pump, the quoted pricing was within the national average. It was a little higher than the medium cost, but I understood the installation would be dependable. Given the cost for the unit was about $3,000, I inquired about financing, and the plumber quickly connected me with the company's financing partner. I was approved for the loan on favorable terms and we were able to complete the transaction within minutes. Given the late afternoon hour, the plumber promptly drove to pick up the replacement unit from a local supplier. He had the new unit tested and functioning within 45 minutes of his return. The new unit has a separate switch, which is the most common failure for these devices, and so the next repair in the late 2030s or early 2040s will likely only need to replace the switch. Sometimes it pays to shop around and find the absolute best pricing. Other times, when a critical component fails that affects the well-being of my family, timely, well-researched decisions are the only option. Of course, I'd prefer the price of this project would have been lower. But given the results, I am satisfied and know the new unit will likely last 10 to 15 years or longer.

They had a "sister" company come in and pull the permit for the job and no one had clothing or vehicles with NCPD logo or name on it. I thought this was really strange, but after hearing the company has had it's license for the city revoked, it now makes perfect sense. The quality of the work was good, a little higher than Allen Service had bid, but they were supposed to get started sooner than Allen could. I will use them again if they ever get licensed again.
