Pete Duran was professional and very informative. would highly recommend him. having him come back for maintenance and a couple tweaks on my water heater. phone system and dispatch are terrible! must have called 10 times before finally reaching a supervisor just to get scheduled. called to schedule maintenance on my ac and was scheduled four months! now I have an appointment the same day that I cannot reschedule. called to get rescheduled they set it out two months. asked for sooner scheduling. no one ever called me back. I'm an elite member and expect better service read more

Jon Harris did an excellent job. 5 STARS! He was on-time, 1st Star. Once he saw the situation he explained clearly to me the necessary repairs and why - 2nd Star. He then showed me pictures and explained the cost - 3rd Star. He went and picked up a part to ensure he could complete the job today for me (so, I wouldn't have to reschedule) - 4th Star. He was courteous, professional and thorough - 5th Star. And to add another Star, afterwards he went over everything including the cost and "Thanked" for the business - 6th Star!!! I will recommend Allen Services to everyone and advise them to request Jon Harris. The reason - I know the job will be done right and to your satisfaction. 5 STARS to Jon Harris and Allen Services read more

We had Allen in here to hunt down the source of a bad smell in our basement. The tech recommended bringing in a home restoration team to rip out floors and ceilings, discussed helping us fudge dates with our home insurance to fund what was probably going to be a five-figure restoration job. We just had another local plumber come in, and he found the issue - a partially blocked drain in the lower basement bathroom. That was it. No home insurance, no ripping out walls or ceilings. An hour's work got it done. There is no smell in the downstairs at all anymore This is the second time Allen has tried to push a huge and expensive repair on us - the previous one was Allen telling us that our entire HVAC system needed to be replaced, which wasn't actually the case. I don't have any confidence in Allen's honesty or integrity. I shudder to think of these hard sell fear tactics being used on seniors and other vulnerable people. We will not be using Allen for anything in future. read more

We were customers for 7 years dating back to when they were locally owned and operated. They used to be a company I knew I could call if something went wrong in our home. Once ownership changed, we noticed some differences and felt a little weird but still held on. What a mistake. They quoted us HVAC units all the way up to $25K at the time. We live in a 3000 sq ft home. They replaced only our furnace in 2022 for almost $9K. We followed warranty requirements by scheduling annual maintenance and inspections and changed the filter regularly. Allen constantly rescheduled our appointments because there were other more important callouts. One visit, they didn't replace the filter because the technician didn't have one in their vehicle. This should have been included but they did not offer to bring one later. At one point, a technician suggested we get a dehumidifier for our basement. With Colorado's dry climate, that's unnecessary. In Nov 2025, we had a technician come out to do our annual maintenance on our newer furnace. Somehow Jan 2024 and then, the heat exchanger had a large amount of rust built up. If you aren't aware, over time the rust causes cracks and in a nutshell will lead to carbon monoxide leaking into the home. No investigation was carried out into why there is rust on such a new unit under average use circumstances. No warranty claim was talked about. However, we were offered everything under the sun for $3310.00 that did nothing to resolve such a dangerous situation. I said I needed to talk to my husband because this seemed excessive to hear considering this is a new unit. It was close to the holidays and time got away from me. Fast forward to July 2026, our A/C seems to be acting weird and not blowing cold air when it was 103 outside. I tried scheduling an appointment with Allen by calling on Mon around 4pm. They said someone would call me back. No call. I went on their website and was able to book online. I scheduled for Tues between 12-6. I received a call Tues morning that the timeslot wasn't actually available for that day. Not sure why online scheduling is even an option. They said someone could come on Wed between 12-4 so we booked that. My husband was home in our basement all afternoon with our child trying to stay busy and keep cool while waiting for a technician. The thermostat in the house read an internal temp of 90. We did not receive an update from the company and had to call to find out where the technician was. They had to reschedule us again because there were so many call outs yet again. I cancelled our appointment and called a locally owned and operated company who could get out the next day. The other company's technician found many items that were not properly serviced during our inspection. I showed them the photos and estimate from our November furnace inspection. They were shocked and explained the seriousness of the issue. After they left, my husband and I both tried contacting Allen many times regarding this. After a week and a half of us calling and submitting contact us requests online, we finally received a call back. We were told they could send someone else out but according to their notes, I said I would talk to my husband and never called them back. I was shamed by a member of the management team because I needed to consult with my husband about what felt like a bogus recommendation to just solicit money. If you read the estimate, nothing offered has anything to do with the rust on the heat exchanger. Allen did offer to send out their "most experienced" technician to take a look, and I could schedule directly with Danielle because they are aware of issues with scheduling and dispatch. I made it clear that Allen Service is not welcome in my home due to negligence of my family's safety. I hope Allen Service doesn't put anyone else at risk of major safety concerns just to exploit their customers. It's hard enough when things need to be replaced in your home. Being taken advantage of like this has caused undue excessive stress and financial hardship. read more

They're service is fine. However their "Member" marketing is aggressive and highly repetitive. Never had a hvac company try this before. Its annoying to have them tell you over and over your AC needs a inspection when they just serviced it. Calls and text every 5 to 6 weeks. I will not use them again. If I could leave no stars or even better negative stars I would. read more

If I could give a zero-star rating, I would. I purchased a water heater a little over 3 1/2 years ago. It failed yesterday, which is not their fault. The tank is under warranty, but not the labor. They couldn't quote me a labor cost until the tech came out. The tech came out this morning and said he had to call his manager for the cost. It came back at almost 2300, which is more than they charged me the first time to install it. The tech said he would go out and call his manager since I wanted to speak with her. Instead of coming back into the house, he just left. I had to call back and spoke with the manager, Erin, who was far from helpful. Long story short, I went with a trusted plumbing company who will do the warranty work on the tank, and the cost of their install is less than half of what they quoted. read more

Liam serviced our AC a few days ago and did a great job for us. This servicing had been delayed because the initial appointment was scheduled on JUNE 16, 2026 but the person assigned, Jim M, was a no show. No one called us to cancel the appointment and no one answered the number on the business card Jim M. gave us when he was at our house for a previous appointment. We were given a time frame of noon to 4pm for Jim M's arrival. The next day we called Allen's and we were told that Jim M no longer worked there. We asked why the Allen's people didn't reschedule us for another technician and/or didn't at least call us to cancel Jim M's appointment. They said they did not know and really didn't act/sound liked they even cared. We asked for the next available AC servicing appointment and they said it was SEPTEMBER 16! We asked for them to work us in sooner, under the circumstances, and there was no effort made to do that. So, we were lucky that we had no AC problems ALL SUMMER since we couldn't get serviced until SEPTEMBER 16, close to the beginning of FALL. Liam was a great technician, as have been any of their other technicians. However, our opinion of the office phone staff is definitely ! Their phone/office staff drags down their stars. We've also had an unfulfilling discussion with an office staff person who had difficulty explaining the "program" we selected to be on. read more

My air conditioner wasn't working, and Allen Service sent a tech to diagnose and fix the problem. The tech suggested installing a condensate pump. I agreed and scheduled an appointment for the following week. A few hours later, the air conditioner stops working. I call Allen the next morning, and they send a tech from one of their affiliate companies to fix the issue. The tech failed to fix the problem, so I called Allen again the following business day. The first representative assured me that someone from dispatch would call me the same day to schedule a more timely appointment. That didn't happen, but I did receive a call from a second representative, who tells me she will call dispatch to see if there's any open availability. She informs me that dispatch will follow up shortly. After a few hours, and having not heard back from Allen, I call yet again and speak to a third representative, who informs me that my original appointment has been pushed back six days. I would have to wait ten days for a tech to come back to fix an issue that they failed to fix the first time, and that I had already paid for. If you're having trouble keeping up with how many visits Allen has made (2), and how many phone calls I've made (4), I don't blame you. My suggestion would be to use another company for your HVAC needs, because Allen has terrible customer service. read more

I had a broken valve on my whole house water filter and also needed a bypass loop incorporated into the plumbing as the previous owner neglected to add that. Tyler was professional and got the job done. There was the rather typical upsale attempt typical of Allen Service which I declined without prejudice. The new plumbing for this filter system is fairly compact and had to be due to a bit of limited space in that particular utility closet. Tyler did a fine job. Allen Service is probably not the most economical company to deal with, but they usually give several options to choose from and the work is always top flight. read more

I had Leo come out to diagnose a leaking water heater. He mentioned that there were two possibilities. Without going into both in detail, after ruling out and confirming one possibility as not the issue, the other possibility turned out to be spot on. Unfortunately, this possibility forced the need to replace the unit. I do think the overall cost to replace the unit was pretty pricey, but the manager at Allen was kind enough to provide me with a 15% discount, which I hugely appreciated!! Leo's technical knowledge, professionalism and competence to diagnose and replace the water heater was second to none. I highly recommend Allen Plumbing for any Plumbing needs you might have. read more

Loved working with these guys. Great service, very friendly, and everything got fixed!

I really hope Brian from Allen Plumbing/ Heating no longer works there, but he probably does.Worst service we've ever had. He's rude, inept and a poor communicator. Never consulted us on "work" he did that was explicitly not in the contract. Ruined a wall and told us the flooding his crew caused wasn't that big a deal. My family recommends finding another service, no matter what their rating or reviews say. UPDATE - This review remains at one star, and my comments stay. It was written after careful thought and well after all responses and work were done by Allen. read more

We had a furnace and air conditioner put in January of 2025. There have been several calls about problems, and the last one was about the air conditioner. The man who came to solve the problems was very knowledgeable and competent. He determined that the air flow was bad. We talked about it and he pretty much solved the problem, but my complaint is that we should not have this many problems . Obviously the house was not examined close enough to determine the needs of this particular home. That should have been done before just putting in a furnace and air conditioner arbitrarily! Granted, we have not had to pay extra for the service calls, but this should not happen to begin with!! I am not happy with Allen Service right now. read more
