    They replaced the outside AC unit compressor and condenser on the furnace and it all went to plan. Went through COSTCO and there was a discount and a pretty substantial COSTCO gift card at the end. These units are expensive so the quality of the installation is important to protect your investment. Overall the install was fine

    3.5 stars. Cooper is really price competitive compared to many of the other similar plumber HVAC companies. Throw in the fact that Costco refereed them for furnace replacement ( they have a deal where you purchase from Cooper and you get a gift card that makes the deal really good). My only issues are that our estimator overestimated the tonage of the blowers and had to come back 2-3 times to get a smaller unit for both top and bottom floors. Not that big a deal but a hassle. When the inspector came to pass the top floor furnace he noticed the gas line was not tightened and was leaking a bit.....that is not good. Cooper made good on both. When they installed our new Water heater they marred our basement stairs but once again they made good and sent out a flooring company to repair the stairs ( of course I had to mention that my brother is a real estate attorney). But Kathi at Cooper was amazing to deal with!!! I would recommend them but I would recommend keeping an eye on your project.

    Worst customer service I have ever experienced. No respect for your time or your home. Made 3 different holes cuz first two were in wrong spot and they don't even bother patching it up. They're never on time. First day of install, they gave me a window between 8am-10am, they did not even call me until 10:30am & showed up closer to 11am. So that was not a full day of work. We were given a lowered estimate by taking off the additional day charge, but our final invoice said....any extra hours are a 'required charge'. Our Project Manager, Curt, took that charge off in order to get us to move forward which we have email conversations about. Signed paperwork with incorrect info because the summary page at the very end of document had the correct number from my estimate ($29,072) BUT.....the tricky part was they had another contract price that was higher that I missed. Tried to contact them about this mistake, but they said I signed a contract & threatened to turn me into collections after coming to their office to voice my concerns. Not one person would sit down with me. My price seemed to change a lot. My project manager emailed me saying "if prices changed after walk-through, it would be in the 100s, not the 1000s"....it was in the 1000s & even having the email conversations with my Project Manager apparently means nothing to Cooper Heating. They are very dishonest & their customer service is horrible. If you want people to take advantage of you & your hard earned money, then this is the place. One of the units they quoted us was on backorder, so we waited several months with the guarantee that they would have that part by then. Come to find out the day of install, that 12k unit is still not available, only the 9K. By the time I got the Project manager on the phone, the crew had already started putting holes in our house. NOT COOL! Project Manager, Curt, assured me the smaller unit would be efficient enough for the size of our house. He emailed me saying if we had issues with the smaller unit, we would be able to install the bigger unit free of charge. I had to ask him to rewrite his email, because his email was incorrect, which took almost a month to receive after install. (There seems to be a pattern of incorrect info). Their electrician had to come back, because the work he did was not going to pass inspection. More trickery, because they gave us another Electric bill AFTER signed invoiced when installation was completed. Signed invoice was ($31,008) but then magically I owe them more for electric....that number turned into ($31,837). The inconsistency is everywhere. Install Manager, Reza, shook my hand & looked me in the face as he told me he leveled out our installation because we just had it installed. That was unfortunately not true, they had to send another company to come out & fix our broken attic hatch & to level out our installation. MAKE SURE YOU PAY ATTENTION TO EVERY LITTLE DETAIL CUZ THEY WILL MAKE A MISTAKE AND YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!!!! Please look at my paperwork I have pictured because there are obvious errors BUT, Cooper WILL NOT take ownership for their mistakes. $29,072.00(2nd estimate and on Costco Contract, page 4 in summary). BUT because they put $31,997 as their contract price on line 3, page 1, THAT is what I supposedly owe them for. Who cares what the final invoice might be, turns out Cooper has it all priced out before they even do the installation work!!!! WTF!!!! So, I owed them $31,997 - 160 for the parts change. Never mind the difference in some of the materials they quoted us! Another scam, they will use less than they quoted and you will have to pay whatever the bigger number is. (Another pattern to pay attention to, RIDICULOUS!!) PAY ATTENTION CUZ THEY DON'T!!!! TAKING FEES AWAY TO GET A BETTER ESTIMATE TO ONLY BE PUT BACK ON THE FINAL INVOICE IS NOT AN HONEST WAY OF DOING BUSINESS.

The two installers showed up also on time and were quick and efficient. Even though they it wasn't part of the quote, they mounted the charger for me, and also installed the load management device into the panel (which was part of it). In the end, everyone else told me I had to get a new panel for $6k, and Austin and his team came up with a more affordable options and did an amazing job with installation. No surprises on the final price either.

    Update: Kudos to the owner for reaching out and making things right in a way that I would say is…read moreabove and beyond. As I told the owner, Austin is terrific. I have no reservations in recommending this company. -------------------- I really wanted to give Just In Time a five-star review, because I genuinely think the issue I ran into was an honest mistake. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with how they handled that mistake. First, the good: I hired them to install a smart EV charger. They were super friendly, responsive, on-time, and the installation itself was fast and clean. Here's where things went sideways: they told me the job was complete, but the charger's controller--the part that actually makes it "smart"--was still sitting in the box. Without that piece installed, the whole point of the smart charger is lost. The technicians put me on the phone with the boss, who told me installing the rest of the components would be an additional $165. I was awfully annoyed, but I didn't really have any choice at that point. My issue is simple: I was clear from the beginning about the exact charger I needed installed. I showed the estimator the box and confirmed that their quote covered installing and integrating the smart charger. Some people might call this a bait-and-switch, but I don't think that's what happened. I think they either misunderstood the charger when quoting or were just moving too fast. An honest mistake. But the "solution" was to charge me $165 more for something that took them less than fifteen minutes. They had an opportunity to either (A) complete the scope they quoted, or (B) at least try to work with me on the added fee. Instead, I got a shrug and a "take it or leave it."

    I originally contacted Travis based on his reviews on Yelp. a source I have come to rely upon. I…read moreonly had a small job I thought, replace a bathroom type ceiling exhaust fan that was in the laundry room of the house I had just recently bought. A malfunctioning exhaust fan is an odd problem to handle because electricians don't want to deal with duct work or anything they consider HVAC and HVAC people want to work on/replace furnaces or air conditioners not exhaust fans. Through Yelp I found and contacted Travis at Handyman Plus. He made an appointment and showed up right on time. The "broken" exhaust fan was not actually broken it turns out, nor was the switch which seemed to do nothing. It's a type of continuous running whole house exhaust fan unlike anything I had seen before. The wall switch which appeared like it might be broken wasn't it's just the way this fan operates. Travis got me all the information I needed to look up this fan and learn how to use it. A few weeks later I had a medicine cabinet I wanted installed in our master bathroom. As the wall area to be opened also housed the electric line to an outlet I asked Tarvis to do the installation. Again this was a small job, not the scale of work sought by many people in an up economy. Travis made an appointment, texted me when he was on his way and did an excellent job installing my cabinet; without hitting the power line or electrocuting himself. I'm really pleased with the work but more pleased overall with Travis of Handyman Plus. He is professional, thorough, capable and resourceful. I would not hesitate to call him for much larger jobs.
