I went against my better judgement and got the Italian Hoagie, when I should have gotten the Reuben or one of the other sandwiches. While the hoagie itself was okay, I didn't love the bread (reminded me of bread from Kroger or Meijer, not NYC Italian crusty bread), and there was not a lot of meat/cheese, toppings, etc., especially for a $15 sandwich. The service was outstanding though... I'd like to go back and try one of the other sandwiches because the reviews are high.

I got more cole slaw on the side, a lightly dressed mix of finely sliced red and white cabbage. The chocolate chip cookie was soft and sweet, just the way I like 'em. When our group grew to 25 people, they were more than happy to expand our area. The servers were wonderful and friendly. All of our brunch entrees came out quickly and simultaneous. I'm still amazed that 25 servings came out at once and all were hot and matched each order perfectly. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were large. Thanks Lakeside Cafe for accommodating a last minute large group with outstanding service and delicious food.
