If you're considering using All Access Doors, don't.
We paid this company over $11,000 for our commercial storefront doors, and our experience from installation through warranty service has been incredibly disappointing.
The problems started before installation. Their team scheduled our project for a holiday weekend, so we coordinated everything around that date. A few days beforehand, they suddenly told us they wouldn't work on the holiday. When I questioned it, the owner called and yelled at me, blaming me for the scheduling issue. We later found out it was actually someone on his own team who scheduled it incorrectly. He eventually called to apologize.
Then, after the project was supposedly "finished," we discovered that a significant amount of the caulking around the windows and doors hadn't even been completed. We had to contact them and have them come back to finish the job.
About six months later, our front door began scraping metal against metal and having trouble closing. After multiple attempts to get them back out, their own technician inspected it and told us the door had been installed incorrectly, the bottom set screw had not been installed properly, allowing the door to gradually shift/tilt.
He fixed it and specifically told us that if it happened again, we should contact All Access Doors and they would come back. I immediately texted the owner documenting what his technician had told us, and he acknowledged it in writing, responding, "Sounds like a plan. Thanks for being flexible."
Fast-forward another six months, and the exact same issue is happening again.
We contacted All Access Doors as instructed, and instead of coming back to address the recurring installation issue under their warranty, they told us they were booked and referred us to other door companies.
The irony is that having another company work on the door can jeopardize/void their warranty, yet they are the ones directing us elsewhere rather than standing behind their own installation.
We also discovered language on our account indicating "refuse service." We have paid them in full, have a written warranty, and are simply asking them to address the same installation-related problem their own technician previously identified.
We have invoices, payment records, photos, emails and text messages documenting everything above, and we have now filed a complaint regarding their contractor license.
As business owners ourselves, we understand that mistakes happen. What matters is whether a company takes responsibility and fixes them. A warranty is only valuable if the company that gives it to you is willing to honor it.
Our experience has been that once All Access Doors had our $9,000+, getting them to return, correct their work and ultimately honor their warranty became increasingly difficult, and now they are effectively passing us off to someone else.
If you're considering using them, my recommendation is don't. Even having their warranty in writing has not protected us when we actually needed them to stand behind their work. Save yourself the headache and use another company. read more
