Theres no reason whatsoever that gel polish should chip this bad within 2 days. Today was my first time coming to SH Nails and I am pleased with the outcome! The only issues I had were that it is cash only for payment or CashApp. However, they do have an ATM in the waiting area. The other issue is that its meter parking. I put enough in the meter for an hour and a half & it wasn't enough so I had to put in for another 30 minutes. Other than that the employees were very pleasant and helpful which made my time enjoyable.

I really wanted to like this place. I went to get a manicure and pedicure the other day as a new…read morecustomer, and 3 of my toes and my right pinky bled from the process of being prepped. It's now hard to wear sneakers and it is visibly and sensationally apparent that the injured toes that are swollen and painful on the sides that were cut/ ripped too deeply. I felt the pain and saw the blood instantly, and said something but the nail tech still didn't take her time after that. Her apology was brief and the mistakes were left unaddressed at the end. I have had pedicures and manicures before but this was easily my most painful experience, both during and after. I also found that the polish on my finger nails should've been applied closer to the bottom of the nail (where the cuticle was). Why would you go through the work of removing the cuticle if you're not going to also take the time to apply the polish well? Maybe some of the other nail techs are more gentle but it'll be a long time before I consider going back. It was busy so some nail techs must be good, but I can only report on my very negative experience.

I went in as a walk in and was almost immediately sitting in a chair. the lady servicing me asked if I wanted to cut my nails and I told her yes, and keep them square. I kept looking at my nails throughout the service and it looked good. it wasn't until I went back to my hotel and was barefoot that I noticed two toenails were crooked. l would've noticed if I wore flip flops but it's winter and I had on sneakers. Anyway, I couldn't file them myself so I went back the next day and had to wait about 10 mins to see another manicurist, and she fixed the two nails for me and she was kind about it. all and all I love the gel color and the pedicure was nice. I have no complaints other than the shape issue.

So this is a typical hood salon found in every hood across the country. I went in initially on a Saturday afternoon, and the wait was pretty long as to be expected, so I sat in the little waiting area for my turn. The clients were yelling, and cursing and basically just being a stereotypical mess, but that doesn't really faze me, so whatever (if that would bother you, this may not be your spot). Got tired of waiting, so I left and came back early Sunday morning. It was a completely different place. The girls working (who are all sisters, and gorgeous btw) were very sweet, professional and funny. They were quick, did a great job and I was on my way. I was told by another customer to not have the male do my nails. So when he suggested I go to the chair for my pedicure. I asked who would be performing my services. He said he would, I said that for my nails I prefer a women. He says do you need a women for your pedicure too? I replied it doesn't matter to me. He then informed me that he is the only one that does pedicures in this salon, and if I needed a woman for a pedicure this salon might not be a good fit.....well ok...I reassured him it would not be a problem. Got in the chair for my pedi and let the water circulate until it was cold. I sat and sat while he continued to work on another client. Meanwhile his daughter sat in the chair and chilled; she is also a nail technician. Finally he did the pedicure and he did a quick and efficient job. I was pleasantly surprised. Once done, he informed his wife I was waiting. She continued drilling/filing something in the back....no customers in her chair. So I waited some more. Eventually she told me to come to her chair after he informed her a second time I was waiting. Once in her chair she did a great job. There was no conversation...no pleasantries. She kept repositioning my hands on the elevated stand because I am short and my arms could not reach that far. Very awkward and quiet. Overall, the quality of work is really good. But the atmosphere lacks warmth and the wait is too much. Btw the place is spotless. After this review I am sure I will have to find another place but honest feedback should help a little...js. A little kindness goes a long way.
