I recommend getting your nails done if you are up to waiting 30+ minutes after you already confirmed an appointment. I spent 7 years getting my nails and toes done here, not anymore though. Almost every time I step foot in there after already booking a set appointment time I get stuck waiting 15-30 minutes. The owner CHARLENE double books staff and doesn't communicate to clients that information. I went in for a pedicure that was scheduled for 3:30, got seated in the pedicure chair and started soaking my feet. At 4:00 I finally got helped, at that point the water was cold. No communication whatsoever ever to me that there would be delays. It happens all the time. Instead of overbooking and running their nail techs to the ground they should reevaluate how to run a business, and properly sterilize their tools that they use on every client. I will never go back. read more

I came up from LA to visit a friend in Orcutt and we decided to get our nails done. I desperately needed a fill. We called the day before to make an appointment for a fill and a full set. We arrived a few minutes early and picked a color while we waited for them to finish up their other clients. The salon was sparkling clean, even the restroom. Susan did my fill and I WAS IMPRESSED!!! She listened to exactly what I wanted and executed it flawlessly. She chatted with me while she was hard at work and was very friendly. They had a ton of colors to choose from and the cutest rhinestoned gel curing machine I've ever seen. I am always hesitant to stray from my normal salon because I am very critical of my nails. Susan blew my expectations out of the water. I wish this salon was in Los Angeles! Next time I visit, I will definitely be back!! read more

I took my Mom a month ago and had good service. This last time on 7/3 was not good service. I made an appointment and when I checked in I was put in a massage chair for 30 minutes...after a cold foot soak...the nail technician walked over..I said "Hi" and was greeted with a dirty look. After the pedicure was finished...the nail tech walked away never to be seen again. No "you are done" No coming back to check and see if the nail polish was dry etc. I put my sandals on, removed the cotton between my toes and contemplated not leaving a tip, but I did. I live in SLO, come to Santa Maria to take care of my Mom and will find somewhere else to go in the future. read more

Went here after I found out my ideal nail salon was closed for the day. I was told it would be a 10 minute wait which turned into 20 minutes - not a big deal but they told the same thing to a girl who came in 5 minutes after me and she probably waited closer to 30 minutes to get a seat. The manicure process was a little haphazard. She pushed back my cuticles and buffed my nails so quickly and harshly that she left abrasions on 3 of my fingers above the cuticle, I didn't notice until she used alcohol to clean off afterwards and it stung like crazy! Took several days to fully heal. The gel polish application was okay - I've had better but overall it got the job done. One of the employees seemed to be sick, she had a coughing fit in the middle of doing someone else's nails and was sniffing like crazy the entire time. Hoping it was just allergies but if she was actually sick I hope they wouldn't let her work since she's in direct physical contact with others in a small space. The one thing I liked was that I asked for my nails to be rounded out and she did them fully rounded which is what I love. Sometimes they'll just round out the corners but I prefer rounding the full nail, so that was nice. Overall, not a great experience. I'll be going to Lotus Nails & Spa from here on out. read more

I came in for a regular pedicure and gel manicure. I had the manicure while sitting in the pedicure chair, which was uncomfortable. The young girl removing the old gel polish with that drill-type thing BURNED MY FINGER. It hurt so bad! She apologized but seemed to making a joke of it. My pedicure was also messed up and the woman who "fixed it" used her own nail to scrape the nail polish off my toe. Not pleasant or sanitary. Will not be going back. Ever. read more

I live nearby and this place was referred to me by a friend so I thought I would give this place a try . .Oh what a mistake! Had to wait 30 minutes but when I did finally get a seat in the chair. .I had a young man that began to pressure me for a more expensive pedicure and gel polish. I told him that I wanted the basic pedicure with nail polish and again he pressured me to get the gel. He suggested to add an exfoilating leg scrub and I agreed. Well he never addressed the cuticles, never clipped my nails, only exfoilated the fronts of my legs, and here's the deal breaker . . He scrubbed and sanded not only my heels but took off the layer of skin on the back of my heel. I now have an injured and scabbed heel and my toenails never did need the more expensive gel polish. read more

Wow worst experience ever. I got yelled at for 5 minutes straight!!! Long story short I didn't ask for a manicure, just gel. Since all she did was shake her head and nod instead of responding to my questions, I'm sure she gets away with ripping people off all the time. She went ahead and did a manicure anyways. When I asked her about this, she kept saying that she asked me if I wanted a manicure, to which I responded "I want gel" and somehow she understood that as I want a manicure too. Anyways that's not the worst part. The worst part is how she kept yelling at me at this point so I just got up before she actually painted my nails. My friend was getting her nails done by another lady, so I was going to wait for her. But the lady just kept yelling at me until I left. I even asked her to stop yelling at me and she wouldn't. If I could give this place a negative star I would. This place is horrible. Do not go here. It's expensive $41 dollars for a set of acrylic with gel and $61 for a pedicure with gel. On top of the high cost the nails came out horrible. As you can see from the pictures they are done poorly. My technician got glue all over me. The nails are crooked m, filed unevenly, and she didn't apply the acrylic with care. Some of my nails are smaller than my actual nail so you can see my natural nail underneath. She cut me twice! She never clean the blood up and kept filing which means she uses the same stuff on other people. So unhygienic. She didn't listen to what I wanted. I came out in pain and really disappointed. I can't believe this place has such a high rating. My friend who got the pedicure was shocked on the price for a pedicure and her technician cut her too. My mother and I wanted to get mani and pedis and they said it would be 30 minute wait. We told them we'd be back and we're back 20 mins later. After waiting for an hour I finally got seated for a pedicure and my mom waited another 40 mins. Then they asked if she was getting mani and pedi too. Which frustrates us because we had said that earlier. But we were patient. They forgot AGAIN and skipped over her. Then tried to act like she never said she wanted her nails done. Just horrible service. I also saw them telling everyone it would be 30 minute wait time which isn't true because they clearly take longer than that.
