When Teresa saw me, she told me that my colors were fine, and if I really want to do color touch up, she can help me, too. But she suggest that I can re-shape my eyebrows so that my face may look longer instead of rounder. I was sooo in love and happy when she only drew the new shape! And so I told her to just re-shape my eyebrows. Teresa was very detailed and explained the whole procedure. Every step of the way she would tell me what she's doing and what to expect (pain, numb, etc) After doing my eyebrows many of my friends had told me how much they loved it too! I had to cut my own hair at home and cut off the mullet she left me. I can not in good faith recommend this place as they have people with no experience and don't know what they are doing. One side of my hair is shorter than the other. What a horrible experience. I will next time pay more for a better haircut. It will be worth it versus what I got. UGH! This time I wasn't so happy, I got my eyebrows waxed, the lady had burned some of my skin, and then ripped some of my skin off. Then she didn't shape them the way I asked her too, it was just horrible. I have spots on my eyebrows where it's almost bald because she just plucked my eyebrows in the middle of them just because. I was initially worried they would just damage my hair more but I was surprised with how they worked so well for me. She is stylish, cute, and SO FUN to talk to. This salon has a little bit of everything. From the 20-somethings to the 70-somethings, there's a stylist for everyone, male and female alike. I'd say the average age of the clientele is 25-40. While it's not the most uber-trendy modern environment, Rico de Benitez salon is still fresh, the prices are reasonable, and the staff makes you feel right at home. There is no snobbery here. Grab a cup of Joe and a Vogue and enjoy getting prettified!
