So, for the second time I had lost a pair of very expensive sun glasses that were purchased from All About Eyes . The first pair from the store in Belleville and the second from the one in O' Fallon. I had the original sales receipt from both however it seemed that the style I had loved for ten years had been discontinued. Tyler from the O'Fallon store had been searching and looking into finding this one for me for several days. On a last chance I called my church and someone had found them and turned them into the office. I just want to say that Tyler went above and beyond for me. I am going to make a long story short... I always go to LensCrafters because I never have issues but they are getting too expensive. So I figured I would give All About Eyes a try since my brother in-law went to school with the owner. I took my oldest daughter there for her glasses. She got RayBan with transition lenses. I paid about $200 for her pair. Within three months they were scratched. The girl who set up everything didn't add the insurance. I went there for glasses. The first girl gave me an a price that I could not refuse. So I went to LensCrafters to get my prescription and headed over. They ordered my frame and set me up with their top of the line progressives. They gave me the total and it was way higher than the girl had told me. It was only $50 less than LensCrafters. I brought in with me a plastic pair of RayBans with transition lenses that I had scratched. I asked if they could replace the lenses for me. The girl offered to do it at no charge. I was pleased. Now both of my glasses returned. The glasses that I purchased from them I could not see. My bifocal part was too high. They offered to replace them. My spare pair that were transitions came back but they were no longer transitions. I spoke with a manager there and she sent them back. Glasses came back again. I still could not see out of them. I was getting horrible headaches. Spoke with the manager and she set me up to see one of there Dr's. Sent glasses out again to be replaced. They strengthened my bifocal. Once again, I could not see correctly. Now remember my original pair of plastic glasses were getting sent back too. Finally after numerous tries I just asked for my money back. They honored my request. I went back to LensCrafters to order glasses again. Well All About Eyes had my insurance benefits locked up. I called there and the girl said that she could not give me any info. Luckily the manager at LensCrafters offered me 50% off. I got my pair of new glasses and I could see fine. I brought in my spare plastic glasses to see why I could not see correctly out of them. They took the measurements and told me that they were way off. They also informed me that I could not get new lenses because the frames were partially melted on the top. I was told that is from heating up the frame too many times. Well now I am angry. I went back in to All About Eyes and showed the manager. She claims that LensCrafters must have done it. When I explained that they just took measurements and showed me what was wrong she said she would see if they would replace the frames. Well four months later I still have not heard anything. Now I am out $183 for frames that I can never use again because they damaged them. My spare pair of glasses were only six months old. NEVER use All About Eyes. They can never give you the correct prices. The one thing that cracked me up was being told by an employee that the people that make your glasses don't get much training. UPDATE-I do appreciate All About Eyes replacing my frames but, it doesn't do me any good because I would have to pay over $300 for new lenses. What's the point read more

This was my first visit to All About Eyes. I had been going to Clarkson Eye Care in Shiloh, Il but the entire atmosphere there has changed and the prices are very expensive. I was impressed by the selection of eyewear and the service offered by the opticians. Megan assisted me very patiently and acting as though she had no other commitment than to help me find my perfect pair of eyeglasses I take a long time to make a final decision!). I was given a comprehensive list of all options and prices. She explained all of the lens options but did not push me to choose the most expensive route. Even better, she estimates it will only take a week to get my new glasses. I was very pleased with my experience. I will update this when I actually receive my glasses and start wearing them should there be any change in my opinion. I have received my glasses and am very pleased with them. If you're looking for a cheap pair of eye glasses this is your place. My spouse and I both got a pair through their buy one get one deal, with the extra scratch guard. Within a month both pairs were unwearable. Conveniently their return policy ends at just that point as well. The glasses not only scratch quickly but the hinges are flimsy. read more

Where did my review go? I recently reviewed this company and today I returned to write a follow up. No idea what happened to my first review. Here goes again. I saw an ad in the slick papers which come in the mail. I mentioned it to my friend. She said she had bought glasses here and was very pleased. I called for an appointment and mentioned the ad I saw. The person who answered the phone mentioned an offer which was even better. I made an appointment the same day. I was examined by the Dr. He was very nice and thorough. I wanted two pair of sunglasses. I specifically wanted plastic frames because I push my glasses up on the top of my head. If I have the separate nose pieces, the nose pieces get caught in my hair. There have been times, when we have thought we were going to have to cut the glasses off of my hair. So- plastic frames are for me. There were not too many choices in the bottom level but the representative went to the back room and brought out several more pairs. I had plenty of frames to choose from. I found two which were great for me. I ordered the two pair. There was no high pressure sell to add more features which is typical elsewhere. I was very pleased with the total price. Now the update- I went back this week to get my glasses. The manager fitted them perfectly. The Rx is great and I am delighted. Suggestion - give this company a try- you will be happy. read more

Had my initial eye exam done at another optometrist office. Came in to get a couple pairs of glasses, was able to get two adorable pairs, for about 150 less than what ONE pair was to cost on a special at another eye dr. When I got my first pair in, the script seemed off, so the manager there was extremely nice and helped verify forst the measurements and that the lenses had the exact lense script, which lead to having a re- test of the script -which was done in office and sure enough it was my script. The ladies in the office were great, helpful and informative, as well as very personable. The optometrist there was wonderful.He was patient during the exam, didn't rush and made sure to give my eyes small breaks in between to keep my eyes from overstraining while figiring out the correct eye script. Felt very calm, not rushed to choose between "1 or 2 " in the slides and he was very knowledgeable in questions I had pertaining to eye health. Will definitely reccomend this office to everyone and will be coming back myself for sure. Thanks All about eyes!!! read more
