We have recently been discussing possible moving locations into a new place, and believe it or not, relatively-close proximity to Stallant's location is a crucial factor in our decision making process. (Sumimasen, Japan. You'll have to wait!) That is because we go one or more times per week for a two-hour treatment for depression. I was once on the treatment, and my wife still is. Not only do they offer the hard-to-find treatment, but they have catered so much of their office model to be conducive to a relaxed and effortless treatment! I had an amazing experience at Stallant (though the treatment itself by nature has mixed results) and all of my cares and concerns about the drug-that-starts-with-an-S-and-ends-in-Vato were brought up before my first administration and I was handled with utmost care and comfort. They even upgraded the patient bed to the highest quality model as well as added a futuristic chair that I've informally dubbed, "The Space Captain's Throne." ## OFFICE :: The clinic has been classy-in-style since we first started going there, but they continue to improve and improve even more. They recently began redecorating the front reception area and waiting room, and I've been told that Trey Williams is the one to give a shout out to for some of the newest style additions - great job! ## STAFF :: When you meet the dynamic-duo of Stallant, Dr. Steffens and Dr. Gallant - (see what they did there?) - you'll realize why this place is so effective, successful, well-operated, impactful, and cutting-edge. The entire staff team operates like divine machinery across the diverse spectrum of services they provide. Each member feels expertly-selected for their role. ## PARKING LOT :: Beware, the parking-lot facing the front door to the clinic can get stuffy! Just proceed with caution because I've noticed after 300+ trips there over the years that there are many tight spots and blind spots. ## GARDEN :: There is a stunningly beautiful seasonal garden just outside the front doors. It's absolutely recommended (I'd say, required) to take a few minutes and appreciate. I've been told by the grounds mgr. that there's a young-at-heart couple whom takes care of the flower varieties. You can tell they put the loving essence of their heart into the work, because it blows me away. As of writing Spring '22, there's a beautiful butterfly floral arrangement, only identifiable if you pay attention - it's to the right facing toward the front door below the steps. ## "WEIMART" STORE :: It's not attached to the clinic, but it's still bound by the heart of the vicinity / community. The market serves an impressive variety of plant-based foods - for example, dairy-free cheeses that will make you go moo. And other hidden treasures, too. ## SUMMARY I am honest and sincere in everything I write both in my professional tech & arts career and as a Yelp reviewer. There's a reason we've willingly made over 300 trips (45-min drive each way) into the lush hills of Weimar/Colfax to Stallant Health - because the encapsulating experience and resulting spirit-lift is a wondrous experience in itself. I've been coming here for a long time and my insurance brings me thru a ride service and the ride service got me a couple minutes late . They won't see me . They know how ill I am and that I don't have reliable transportation all I have is this lame ride service. And they turned me away. The last appointment I had the doctor called in sick . 2 times in a row. Well guess what ? Dr . Hensley you need to wear deodorant because your armpits stink!

We visited everyday and witnessed how well they watched her as she transitioned to her final day. Thanks to all at the center who made us feel welcome, for those who ensured that if they didn't know us that they checked to ensure we were supposed to be there, to those who loved caring for my sister and showed it everyday by sharing their joy and laughter with her. She will be forever grateful for the Bingo events and the friends she made at the center. She made a forever friend with her roommate, Gail who cared and loved her like family. I'm forever indebted to you all for giving her a place where her death was treated with the care, compassion and respect that we should all experience as we leave this earth. Thank you! She remembers some of the details of my "case," from one visit to the next. She initially saw me every three months, but offered that I only needed a diabetes follow-up every four months. So much for money-grubbing. When she discovered that I have diabetes, she called me three times in one day - I was out of town - and insisted that I come in, with my husband, as soon as I returned. In fact, on her last VM when I wasn't home, she left the information about an appointment she'd set up for me, without my even being home. She has volunteered her time with Mother Theresa in Calcutta. I do not share any part of her strong Catholic faith, but I've always had caring, personal attention from her. CONS She seems to be eager to prescribe pills and drugs, no matter what my issue is. She often gave me samples to save me money, but sometimes, it seemed that she was changing meds on me gratuitously. I read that her attitude toward some women was occasionally harsh - she refused to prescribe artificial birth control, or pain pills for C-section patients, rooted in her religious beliefs, but I never experienced that. I know women who won't go to her, in solidarity with other women. One memorable time, I waited in my exam room for an hour before sticking my head out into the corridor and finding it empty and dark. Everyone had left and forgotten about me. I went home and called in a message to tell them that the office was unlocked. I got calls at home that night from Neva and her husband, deeply apologetic. They're too busy for their own good. All in all, I like her. I think she's a good, if traditional, doctor. Were we still living in that community, she'd still be my doctor.

She really connected with many of the staff and spoke fondly of them every time I visited her. She felt at home there. The staff & management were always highly attentive to her needs & even wants. She was always advocated for. In the last days of my Mother's life, the staff went above & beyond to keep her cared for & comfortable as well as helping our family feel welcome as my wife & I were at her bedside during her final days & nights. I was never concerned about her well being or care needs while she lived there, THANK GOD!

A breathing test was ordered (terrific tech at SNMH) and the test administered. Days later the office manager sent a text that they had not received the results of the test. I called the office and spoke with the manager. She asked me to call the Pulmonary Function Lab and have them transmit the result of my test to the doctor's office. I asked the manager isn't that more a function of your office rather than my effort. She snapped back, "Calm down"! I replied, "I am calm", to which she responded "You're attacking me". I replied, "I am not attacking you. I said I am the patient and the customer with a question but she again said that I should make the call to Pulmonology. I reminded the manager that I was the patient who asked her, on our initial phone contact, if she was in a hurry when she answered the phone, the impression being that she didn't have time for my call, brusque in manner, bordering on rude. I reiterated my first question regarding function. She then began to search for the report from Pulmonology, found it after making her point that she had not received it and tacitly had to back down from her comment that I was attacking her. Dr. Lace has a pleasant manner as does his nurse assistant, however the office manager defeats what would be an otherwise smoothly running office. There are other pulmonologists in Auburn and Roseville.
