My wife had hip replacement surgery three weeks ago, and we received 3 weeks of in home physical therapy, through Kaiser, performed by Progressive Home Care. Our physical therapist, Steve O., was remarkable! On time to the minute on all 6 visits. He is extremely knowledgeable about hip surgery, and provided excellent, thorough, information and visual aids on recovering from it. To top it off, he is a great guy! Easy to talk to and ask questions of, with a great sense of humor. His last visit was today and we are going to miss him. read more

The nurses and PTs we have had (for hip and knee replacements) have mostly been very good - but scheduling is a nightmare. The office staff is not at all helpful and they will not schedule visits until the night before. Once you have been assigned someone, you can communicate directly with them - but until then dealing with the office staff is just awful. For the knee replacement, they sent a PT to do both PT and nursing duties. This individual was not qualified for wound assessment/care, and removed the staples too soon resulting in the wound opening - and now we are facing another month of wound treatment. We have had three different "case managers" and the communication has been dreadful. Very disappointing - I would not recommend them. read more

I was fortunate enough to get Anna as my Home Health Nurse. She was very good at communicating and checking my condition after my knee surgery. They don't communicate when they drop a client. They just ghost without saying a word. Barely help at all. I don't recommend them.

Kim is absolutely phenomenal! A true angel! My husband started receiving care by Kim in the beginning of August. He had just had his surgical abdominal incision open, so had a wound vac, a new temporary Ostomy system as well as a stage 2 colon cancer diagnosis. So much to process, endure, and handle. We were so overwhelmed and scared. He was in a lot of pain and having a wound vac was intimidating and quite frightening to say the least. Kim was so knowledgeable, Kind, gentle, and an amazing teacher no to mention highly efficient. She was so patient and kind while teaching me how to change his ostomy system. She was always so calm which put us at ease. Having a wound vac and having to have it taken care of 3 times a week can be painful but Kim was so gentle and efficient it made it so much easier. She not only has such an awesome personality she also has amazing nursing skills. Her knowledge and experience is so impressive. Kim made our experience the best it could be. We looked forward to her coming as she not only was a very cool person but an extraordinary nurse who brought so much comfort into our world. We have been so blessed to have Kim during this difficult time. He is all healed now and has been released from home care. Kim is absolutely the best, a true angel! My health is just, that my doctor requested a RN from Progressive Home Care evaluate my needs. During the initial period, I received several calls from various professional staff (RNs, PTs, OTs, MSWs). As a result, I feel I can honestly say two individuals stood out as extremely excellent, caring, professionals. My RN was Heather F. and my only regret is my doctor didn't order her services sooner. My physical therapist is Doug, who I believe was God sent. Doug is extremely knowledgeable and truly understands my health issues. He is very patient and has taught me so much about my health issues. As we work through my exercises, he is preparing me for my possible future. As he often says "setup for success" before starting my exercises or any activity. Doug has helped both my husband and I to understand what we can do to make our lives easier with my health issues. Simply put, Doug is a wonderful person and excellent PT. read more

My 92-year-old mother broke her femur and needed at home care. Her assistance living facility recommended Progressive Home Care. I would give them more stars if I could. The RN Kim was fabulous, and all her advice was holistic, simple and effective. I wish I could see her as my GP! Their PT, Steve, was so good with my mom. He always listened carefully to her and waited patiently for her to answer his questions. He patiently made conversation with her through her hard hearings repetitive "what?" repies. He treated her with such respect. She was back on her feet way faster than I ever expected. It takes a lot of patients working with sick elderly patients and their team went overboard with kindness and respect, and all their treatments were just what mom needed. If I need home care this is who I will request. read more

My mother in law broke her arm, and we had a terrible experience at a skilled nursing so we are taking care of her at home. Kaiser contracted with Progressive for home health and every single person they have sent has been AMAZING!!! Chunmei, Flannery, Chris, Dodie, LaToya, Melissa, Lori, have all helped her health improve so much! We have had home nurses, physical therapists and occupational therapists here. Everyone has been the epitome of professional and super personable and they have made this pretty challenging time much easier. 100% recommend this company. Thank all of you so much! read more

A month ago I had a total knee replacement. I was in the hospital one night then released. The next day was my first visit with my assigned nurse, Judy Ryan. How did I get so fortunate to have Judy care for me. She is warm, professional, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable about TKR. She took care of me as if I was a family member. My visits with her has resulted in a perfectly attended incision and I am healing beautifully. Judy Ryan is simply the best home "angel" that carried me through the first 2 weeks of surgery. read more

My husband recently had a major Knee surgery, We had Progressive Home Care, we had both the Home Nurse as well as the Physical Therapist. Regina the Nurse, was so caring and lovely. when we needed to get a better pain killer she contacted the Doctor Immediately ! She went above and beyond what I would have ever expected. The nurse who came out asked numerous personal questions that had already been answered before and were in the system. Then she did a poor wrapping job on my husband's leg. My husband told her to leave the trash where it was, but instead she picked it up and asked me where a wastebasket is. I took the trash from her and threw it away. She should have had a bag for trash and should not have expected it to be left here. When she got back to the office she made up stories about our "vicious" dog who was loose in the house and totally out of her way, and she made a case about the fact that we did not wear masks. All she had to do was request that we wear them and we would have complied. She was wearing a mask and a plastic shield [plus huge thick false eyelashes ... very inappropriate] and we could not hear or understand anything she said. We will never use Progressive Home Care again. read more

I had home physical and occupational therapy with Progressive Home Care. Susie was my physical therapist and was the most knowledgeable and caring I have ever had and I have been in and out of physical therapy for several years due to stroke. Jan was my occupational therapist and was able to resolve hand problems I have had for years. Jan went over and above to get my independence back. If you require home care this is the company you want to use and hopefully you will be lucky enough to get Susie and Jan. read more

This morning we met Donna RN, as my mom's initial contact with home health services. She was Awesome. Very professional, Informative, patient and thorough. My mom , had a total knee replacement 2.5 weeks ago. Physician has ordered physical therapy, occupational therapy and home health, everything was laid out for us. They will be in contact with my mothers primary MD and orthopedic surgeon. So glad they are involved in my mom 's rehabilitation. read more

I would like to extend our thanks to Teresa she was the in home RN that checked in on my Mother In law from 11/24/2016 thru 12/13/2016 (not exact on the dates) in her assisted living facility at Meadow Oaks. Teresa is very kind and does a great job with her patients. She follows thru checking her patients from top to bottom. She makes sure that all meds are what the doctor prescribed and makes a point to get those meds off of the patient's med list so there is no fear of overdose. After 2 leg surgeries/repair and being an in-patient at Sutter Rehabilitation Institute, where my 88 y.o. mother flourished from 3 hours of therapy 5 days a week, she was discharged to home health. My mom fell through the cracks with 2 different agencies and we were getting pretty discouraged. The other 2 agencies seemed to look at her like a life was just winding down so why bother too much.....She started going down hill fast. We were even told that maybe hospice would be more appropriate. THANK GOODNESS mom's doctor actually listened and knew mom "wasn't/isn't ready to give up nor go anywhere anytime soon". She had us give Progressive a try!!! They have been ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! My mother has been progressing by leaps and bounds with their Physical and Occupational Therapists (Sue and Terry)!!! She has progressed more in 3 weeks than we could have hoped for. She looks forward to the therapist and nurses that come and LOVES that they treat her like a person that's on the road to better health. They are professional and great at their jobs! She is finally getting back to the level she was when discharged from SRI (Man, I wish we would've had Progressive first!). To say I'm happy with the care doesn't even begin to describe our experience though! Thank you soooo much, Progressive Peeps!
