Now with insurance being up for renewal they want it back, they even showed up unannounced to search for the wheelchair even though I told them where to look for it. To make matters worse they said my mom could not receive any new CPAP supplies nor a concentrator for oxygen. This has gone on since the first of September with them calling/harassing me twice a week with the bill we never received paid, told them where to find the wheelchair, gave them correspondence between me and the facility concerning the wheelchair and yet they are holding up ... doctor ordered breathing supplies for a multi diagnosed patient. They routinely screw up orders, send bills with no information about what I'm being asked to pay for, and send old and falling apart equipment (a hospital bed that they didn't include an overall height adjustment crank with.) One time, they overcharged me and kept my money as a "credit balance" and NEVER TOLD ME, until I notice while looking at my account. They sent me co-pay bills that do not tell me what the co-pay is for. Today they sent me a link to a "signed document" to download for my records. The link didn't work (telling me that I'd entered MY last name, MY date of birth and MY zip code incorrectly. Then their "customer service" representative yelled at me because I couldn't use the link correctly. She then put me in some billing call queue when I tried to get her to understand that I KNOW HOW TO USE A FREAKING LINK! Kaiser is ending their relationship with them on March 1, and I've asked my Kaiser providers (physical therapist, for one) to cancel any orders that have been placed for me with Apria and wait until the switch over to reorder equipment that I really could use SOONER. But I will NOT deal with them any longer. They are ridiculous and don't seem to give a ^%$#@ that they are a lousy company. We actually tried to place my mother inlaw here first but it was full. Most of the time there is a waiting list I get in. I absolutely loved this place & their caring staff & the director (Wilma). My mother inlaw would comment on how nice it was. They are kind and patient and treat their residents with respect and dignity. My mother inlaw would comment on how nice it was. It feels more like home & family than a care home. It houses a small group of residents. Staff cooks them breakfast in the mornings, make their snacks and treats. A lot of home baking. Lunch and dinner come from The Villa (one of their care homes near by). Residents can participate in the crafts they do or watch. They have a couple of Canaries the residence enjoy. There is TV in the open living space with recliners for them to enjoy. Some rooms are small (perfect size for twin bed) others are a little bigger. There are private and shared rooms. They like to encourage residents to be out and socializing. They have a lovely patio outside. The facility is nestled in a nice quiet neighborhood. My mother inlaw passed away here and staff and hospice we very kind and compassionate to the very end. I can't express how thankful we were to find this place. I could sleep at night knowing she was being well cared for.
