Then they asked for $1,000 more to move dirt out of the way, saying they had to hand-dig because there was a cable underneath. Their prices are outrageous and completely overcharged. They showed no real knowledge and kept adding extra charges for small things. They charge me $285.00 for cancelation.

The whole interaction is on camera. When this company was given a call about their employee damaging property the owner started to yell over the phone, even other people heard her screaming. Then even her husband stated that they don't give you an invoice, only after you pay. This company was provided an email, sorry if the employee does not know how to copy and paste it when it was provided and written down on a post it. Becareful!!! this company will falsely say you are in the military to give out military discount. The homeowner served in the Korean military and not the American military. This company was paid, the payment was sent by mail since their employee ran away after damaging the water valve, not for his own safety. And to think they thought they were going to get business. Original review: Asked for invoice to pay, but refused to give it. Then was asked again for the invoice to know how much it cost for the repair. Still refused. Instead the plumber went to the front yard, took an automatic hand saw and cut the water pipe and ran away. It was caught all on camera. Then the owner wanted an apology!

When they identify another costly issue which may cause problems down the line, such as a partial failure in a septic field, they don't turn the appointment into an aggressive sales job, rather just offering an honest assessment of where things currently stand and the problems which could arise without action. They may not advertise on every billboard and sports field in the community like some of their competitors but, to me, relying on word of mouth for business is something only a company confident in their product or service can pull off. I received a call from the technician, on-site, to find out they were going to charge me another $400 to dig up the tank. Keep in mind the original quote was for $325. They ended up charging $450 more to dig up the lid. They were using a mini-excavator so the work was simple and there should have been a minimal up-charge, at best. The technician was very nice and easy to deal with, but the company policy for pricing that type of work is ridiculous. We've used Skyline a good bit in the past, even for drain field lines on another property but will NOT use them again. They have been bought out by a larger company and don't have reasonable prices any more. I felt over a barrel and taken advantage of to do the work. The company that bought Skyline has also bought Hamby's Septic, another once very good septic company. Buyer beware!
