(they must have ruled out Arther Avenue [Bronx] as they knew we were coming from northern Connecticut). This shop doesn't look like much from the outside, and the interior is unpretentious, but they sure know how to make baguettes! Bring a handkerchief for drooling when you visit.

It's almost funny. Slow to respond once contact was made and so absolutely "who cares" and snotty. It was an exciting event for me...I realize my life isn't important to her and her life isn't important to me but her business is providing a service for an event important to the customer, duh. I was trying to keep my business local and I completely believe in supporting local small businesses. I will never use this baker and I'm still mad at how she lazily strung me along with her "email only" contact. Can you imagine? You can't be bothered to speak to your potential customers. We did sit outside after 5 and it got busy as folks drove in and walked up after work. So, for us..I told hubby he didn't need to buy anything because he already had sweets in the hotel room. However once he had a look at the cases, he just had to buy something! His favorite is the lobster tail and cannoli and I had to get the black and white cookie. We sat outside and since I had to be on a call, hubby went in for a strawberry ice. No chocolate until the weekend . A couple of bites of the black and white cookie for me right away. It's not overly make my teeth rattle sweet and the crumb is very much like a cake. I ate the rest after dinner and it quickly had hardened. Hubby LOVED the lobster tail. 5 out of 5. Hubby took a taste of the cannoli and gave it a thumbs up. He enjoyed the water ice more than Ralph's because it wasn't as icy. Local businesses are so important to the local community and it seems that La Deliziosa is holding its own. Regardless let's keep them going!
