We weren't pressured to order food. I got the adventure consultants as a mezcal lover, and really enjoyed the milkiness of it when I normally don't like milky drinks. It was so different and interesting with the smoke of the mezcal and the creme of the cacao. My husband got the old fashioned which was a larger portion and very boozy, exactly what my husband loves. Will definitely be back! Didn't try the food but the poutine and burger both looked really good that the table next to ours ordered.

Additionally they have no idea how to run an event in a professional manner. I genuinely have no idea why any of the managers even continue hosting live music or DJs here because they seem completely miserable about the entire endeavor. Otherwise the bartenders are often friendly and understanding of their bosses' shortcomings, and Randy the soundguy is a pro who is always nice to talk to. Be better.

This Yelp however is about the place to pregame before the show and since I am unfamiliar with the area, I had to ask friends who have been there often what the available options were for me to explore. The biggest recommendation was the bar a few doors down from The Paramount Theater called Huntington Village Tavern. So far I have been here twice and since I don't know when I will be in the area again I wanted to Yelp something up. Spatially speaking the bar is nicely laid out. You have some hightop tables at the front of the big bay window that looks out onto the avenue, the main bar (which is rather long) and a back area that I think houses a pool table. I didn't go back there so am not 100% sure. Now my standard fare at a bar is a couple of pints of beer and not much else. I am not a spirits guy but the tavern appeared to be stockpiled with all of the needed good stuff for the customer who requires that. There is no food being served at the bar, but they allow you to bring in stuff to eat and right near by is pizza, some burgers and a wonderful Spanish food place. I went to that last one but that it for a Yelp of its own. The bar staff was congenial and served my party their drinks nice and fast. This was great since the time frame that I had to get into the show was not really much. I had a WiFi signal when I was in there so am assuming it was theirs but I cannot confirm that this is the case. I will definitely go back there should I be planning on an event at the Paramount. The show was short but a lot of fun! The Grinch played the character perfectly and interacted with the crowd. Drinks and bites are optional. I got the sugar cookie shots they were okay. I also got the Grinch has a heart because I'm a tequila girl but I wasn't a fan of this one. The sliders however were great.

Alibi is currently running a Harry Potter pop up, and if you know anything about me, you will know I am a HUGE fan. The server pointed it out before I gave them what I thought to be decor. I popped the chocolate golden snitch in my mouth after being directed to take the wrapping off first. We then did butterbeer shots and I can't even begin to tell you how delish they were...dangerously delicious. Food was had and it wasn't anything to write about but I'll try. Queso dip is made in house, which I respect. Loaded potato wontons were a great idea and were probably the best things on the table. You can't go wrong with pretzel nuggets. Chocolate cake is never a bad idea. I ended my visit with a chocolate frog drink. Very similar to an espresso martini. You know how hot they are right now. It came with a an actual chocolate frog which was nice. Finally one of the staff members came over to help us play Bertie Botts and we all picked a jellybean. I got lemon. Some of us got soap and warwax. So fun! It was so good, we are going to try to snag another rez for trivia. Reservations are for 90 minute seatings. You pay $15 for a ticket but you get a souvenir cup with your ticket. Not mad about this because the cup is actually decent and will be used. Their next pop up will be "Slime Time". During the course of a long evening, I had 2 Black Manhattans up and an order of baked clams, and a ton of club sodas in between. Music was legit, the King Cobra layed down some really amazing rockin blues. We saw them one night in January at Big Daddy's and they have become one of our favorite cover bands. Excellent lead guitar and vocals with some superb solo work. Scotty, who we know from another band, Blue Roots, on blues harp, outstanding. Solid bassist and percussionist contributing to solid music. We stayed for 2 of the 3 sets. Lisa E. making rounds and friends throughout the venue. Graciously gave up our table as we said our goodbyes to new acquaintances and headed blissfully home close to 11PM. Solid venue!

His band was great. Our waitress was great. She was busy. She seemed on her own, and the place was pretty crowded. I didn't care for a couple of the bartenders. I thought they were rude so I didn't really pay them any mind and just waited for my waitress to talk to. There's only one bathroom downstairs so sometimes she had to wait in line, but it was easy always people to talk to apparently many years ago was speakeasy so it really kept that great vibe. They have big booths. They kept Fred Astaire on the screen. The music was great great company at the area that it was at and was just fabulous.
