I have been gently coached by Alexa on how to do the Pilates moves properly and have been improving week by week. I actually look forward to taking classes with her. I think you will love it as much as I do.

I've never been much for working out so finding this place has been literally the best thing ever…read more Almost two years ago I knew I needed to build up my legs before going skiing. I've been going back ever since. The things that make this work for me are several fold: I like the way her scheduling works. With regular gyms, I know that the day of I won't feel like going, but with Alexa, I have to schedule in advance to hold my spot. This is motivating for me to go so I schedule it in advance. Also, Alexa is really patient and always very supportive. She is super encouraging and it makes for a very positive experience when working out. She never makes anyone feel bad about how they do the work, she is good at guiding, and instructing. I also like how the classes are very small so you feel like you are really getting Alexa's attention rather than just one of many in the room. I've gotten stronger every year I go skiing because of Alexa and pilates!

I've been taking classes from Tracy for maybe a year ... she is amazing!…read more Tracy has many years of experience, but her qualities go way beyond that! Each class is different, and she listens carefully to what her students need. Tracy teaches many styles of yoga, but my favorite is Yin. Pure Bliss! Tracy has a playful teaching style and a beautiful, soothing, clear voice that makes it easy to surrender, relax, and savor the experience. Recently I attended a Wine and Unwind event at Poppaea Vineyard and Tracy was the yoga teacher. There must have been at least 25 women, many who came primarily for the yoga. This speaks volumes for Tracy's reputation here in Ramona. I recommend her highly!

In January 2023, I was in a devastating car accident that left me with a broken back, a crushed…read morehip, a broken arm, and numerous other injuries. I spent four months in a recovery home, and because my initial hip repair failed, the hardware had to be removed. I then spent 11 months in a wheelchair with no hip joint at all. In November 2023, I finally received a new hip replacement and immediately set my sights on walking again. I had one very important goal: to be able to fully enjoy a pre-planned month-long family trip to Thailand in December 2024. I'd known Shawn, the General Manager, for a few years because we worked in the same shopping center and had always encouraged me to join. Whenever I needed help at my store, he never hesitated to lend a hand. So when it was finally time to begin rebuilding my body, he was the first person I called. When I started training with Shawn, I had only recently progressed from a wheelchair to a walker, and then to a cane. Even with the cane, I was still very unsteady. Shawn met me exactly where I was. His knowledge, experience, and ability to tailor any workout for my limitations gave me confidence that I could recover. Just as important was his personality. His enthusiasm is contagious, and somehow he makes you actually look forward to working out. Time flew during these sessions because he made the process enjoyable while constantly pushing me to improve. Shawn has created a gym that is clean, welcoming, and feels more like a family than a fitness center. It's an environment where people genuinely want to be, and that made showing up consistently so much easier. Before I knew it, I no longer needed my cane. By Christmas 2024, I was doing things I once thought might never be possible again. I managed my own overpacked luggage through the airports in Tijuana, China, and Beijing. I kept up with my family as we walked everywhere throughout Thailand. I even dove off the side of a boat into the Red Sea. Less than two years after spending 11 months in a wheelchair with no hip joint, I was living the trip of a lifetime. That transformation didn't happen by accident. It happened because of hard work, expert guidance, and Shawn's unwavering belief that I could get there. Shawn has been a personal trainer for many years, and it shows. He has the knowledge to help people recover, get stronger, and achieve goals they may think are impossible. More importantly, he has the rare ability to motivate you in a way that makes the work feel rewarding instead of overwhelming. I recommend Shawn without hesitation or reservation. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares about your success and has the expertise to help you achieve it, you won't find anyone better.

It is known for Yin Yoga, the type where you use breathing and hold the poses for 3-5 minutes. Please see my yin yoga photo poses. I'm big fan of heated Hatha...as it flows, but not too fast or demanding. The heat is like in low 90 degree F. I love all the teachers here. Also note that many of the yin classes run for 1 hr 45 min. There are not as many classes offered as a corporate studio, but I'm so happy this is here. Wondering the cost? It's reasonable. There is a free week for new people. There are many options: Single class $23, 5 classes in 1 month $200 $20 each), 10 class bundle (punch card) $170-$200 ($17 each), monthly $150-$170.
